Mojo in the morning with myself, Shannon, Kev here in the studio, Mike and Megan. We've got Lydia and KP and of course, Zach, and we're happy that you guys are here with us. Kev's son, Josiah, is with us right now. Joe, how you doing? You hanging out good? Yep. Good to have you here. Something happened yesterday on the show that was interesting. Josiah became a superstar because we were talking on the show about his dad and Sherelle, Kev's girlfriend, and the possibility of those guys maybe getting engaged with Kev doing a proposal and what kind of proposal was Kev going to do. But something big happened out of that that I think is really, you know, wild because we don't think sometimes that the little ears are hearing us.

Right. Yeah. No. And Josiah and I have a very open relationship. And I told him very early on when he was younger, please talk to me about anything. And I want this to be a safe space. I want this to be a safe environment where you can communicate your feelings.

How old are you, Josiah? Ten. Ten years old.

Yeah. So yesterday when we had the topic about proposals and we called Sherelle, Josiah was in the backseat. He was getting dropped off to my grandmother's house. And there was a moment in the conversation where Sherelle said that she would love to have the spectacle. She would love for family and friends and a lot of people who we love and are part of our lives to be there to enjoy that special moment. But after that's done, she wants it to just be the two of us and for us to have our intimate moment. And Sherelle told me that She could see in Josiah's face That he was becoming to be sad He was getting sad He was emotional in that moment And he pushed through and he talked on air But when I talked to him later that day And I'll let you talk Joe But when Sherelle said that intimate moment With just the two of us In Josiah's mind He saw a future that didn't include him Really? And that's what made him emotional Did I say that right Joe?

Yeah because it's like Like, in my vision, when she was saying that, it made me think of, like, because of the baby, it's becoming more of, like, a him and Sherelle thing. Yeah. So, I feel like I'm not just being left out, but, you know, kind of, like, not in there as much I used to.

Yeah, sure. So, Josiah, if you had your say, you would want to be included in your dad's proposal to Sherelle in some way. Yeah? Yes.

Well, so yesterday when we went home and I had this conversation with Josiah, and I'm so glad, to your point, Mojo, about his, I guess, emotional maturity having the ability to have this conversation and maybe there are parents who have dealt with this before where they you know have an older child from a previous relationship and now you know they have they've found their person and they're bringing in a new not only spouse but a new child like how do you navigate that but then also what i did was pulled out a sheet of paper and i drew a dot and i said this is me and then i drew another dot and i said this is you and it'll never be a time where your dot is erased or we're away from each other but then i drew a third down i said this is sherelle and this is our new baby and it kind of formed a diamond and it showed that we will always be together we make this shape it's not like when one leaves it's never going to be that way we're all adding no one's attracting yeah i love my joe man it'll never be a time

said yesterday so with the two dots i said uh you know the fastest way from point a to point b is a straight line and our dots were straight across from each other yeah so they'll never be a time

but just from people who are just getting to know your dad the way that he talks about you and loves you and is just so proud of you is really, really incredible. So I hope you know that. Your dad speaks so highly of you. All the time. Yeah.

And can I say something? Kevin, it's a testament to you. This is a testament to you as a father. When I hear Josiah speak, I hear this boy talk like a man and be able to communicate to all of us his heart of what he's thinking. And it's because how you have raised him, how his mom has raised him, how all the people around him, Sherelle and grandmas and all the rest of that stuff. Man, because we're just starting to get to know you. And then, you know, it's funny. I've got to remember the line, but you can't fake great kids. You know what I mean? Like a parent can't fake great kids. You know, it just doesn't happen that way. And you are obviously a great parent. This is awesome stuff, man. Josiah, I'm just wondering where I'm going to be in the picture when Kevin, Sherell get engaged because I don't want to be pushed out of the way. You know what I mean? Like I don't want – you don't think that they're going to forget about me, do you?

No. If he does, I don't know how to talk with him. I was like, oh, you should have a talk with him. All right, I like that.

People sometimes when we post a picture of the morning show will say, oh, my God, you guys are better looking than I thought you were. But I'm going to say this. Not only are we better looking than most other morning shows, I think our kids are better kids than most other. I mean, there's our kids. There are no Hunter Bidens on this radio program, okay? We are great. We have great children on this radio. Seriously, from Shannon's children to my children.

i'm a bad kid no this kev you know i know you don't have everything all lined up for what you want to do as far as getting engaged in in all the formalities of all the rest of that stuff but the thing that i realized when uh i went to the uh gender reveal when we all got in the car afterwards chelsea said right away she goes i love how excited josiah is and i love how he was such a part of it like he walked in with you guys and he was his outfit was fit perfectly with the outfits that you guys were wearing and all the rest of that stuff and i thought to myself i'm like man i never really you know i didn't notice that i'd noticed the fanfare in the food you know what i mean and a mom notices how you you know and cherelle are you know treating this young man as the big brother, and I was actually kind of shocked. He would have been just as disappointed if you guys didn't have a baby girl coming your way. I didn't realize it. You wanted a daughter so bad or a sister so bad, right, Josiah?

If I had to get a sibling, then yes.

You told everybody at school that it was going to be a girl, right?
