mojo on the morning show follow us on twitter instagram tick tock we would love for you to check us out if you like the show also do this for us go to the iheart radio app i'm going to walk you through this real quick click on the iheart radio app and then scroll in there and just write mojo in the morning and then follow our podcast that's the show podcast and then after you do that erase so backspace backspace backspace more mojo that's the after show podcast we would love for you to follow us on uh you know podcast wherever you get podcasts but i heard radio app specifically because that's how we get paid uh i i wonder if i should be forthcoming with this one so we're going away for the other weekend and chelsea was freaking out because we did not have anybody to pet sit henry and louie and we were trying to figure out like what to do as far as that was concerned so i had called up uh one of my friends who has a dog and i said hey who was the person that pets at your dog last time because he raved about how great the uh this person was and he said you know the the person's name and i don't want to say their name on there because obviously when i tell you you don't want their name on the radio and um he said yeah he said i think that uh they would be they would be great i'm like okay cool because he raved about how he came back home and his his dog was just like in love with this girl she was great he also said that she pet sat at his house, and he trusted her fully, came home. His house was cleaner than it was when he left, and he has nobody there cleaning but himself. So she cleaned, obviously, the house. So I told Chelsea about this, and Chelsea's like, well, I don't know if I want her to stay at the house, but maybe she can watch the dogs. Yesterday, he goes and tells me something about her that I think he should have said something to me about before. The last time that she pet sat for someone, which was like a weekend or two ago, the dog died in a freak accident. I guess the dog knocked cleaning supplies off of the table and a bottle broke hitting the ground. And the dog ended up swallowing a bunch of poisonous liquid and ended up dying.

00:04:36 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that's sad. But that's an accident.

00:04:39 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 2:

But do I now have to tell that to Chelsea before we do anything? Because he didn't tell me that ahead of time. He told me nothing but the positives. But last time, I talked to him yesterday, he tells me this story. Do I now have to tell Chelsea and now freak her out?

00:04:55 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 5:

Well, I think you have to tell her because she's going to be so pissed if she finds out after the fact.

00:05:00 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 7:

and figures out that you knew and didn't say anything to her. Even though I hope that she will, you know, I mean, it is an accident.

00:05:08 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 1:

Why is my life so hard?

00:05:11 - 00:05:17 | Speaker 6:

That's a really sad story. Megan, why is my life so hard? Huh? That story just made me so sad.

00:05:18 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 1:

I mean, why can't it, Megan, ever go right? You know what I mean? Like, you know what I'm talking about.

00:05:22 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 6:

If you didn't know that I've been crying that to myself for the past two weeks, I don't know.

00:05:27 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 1:

I feel like there's a cloud or something these days. But if I don't...

00:05:31 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 6:

But you have information that she would be pissed if you didn't give her that information. Yep. It's nothing you did, so she can't be mad at you. Why would she be mad at you?

00:05:40 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 1:

God, could you imagine, by the way, your pet sitting for somebody?

00:05:43 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 6:

No. Oh, God.

00:05:44 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 1:

And the dog, or whatever the pet is, dies while your pet's sitting. Has that ever happened to anybody? Has anybody ever had the animal die while your pet... I mean, I don't want to laugh. What's up, Michelle?

00:05:54 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 3:

Hey, this is Michelle

00:05:57 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 1:

00:06:22 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 1:

00:06:27 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 1:

00:06:28 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 3:

Go ahead.

00:06:30 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 1:

No, so tell me, have you ever had a situation where a pet died while you were pet-sitting?

00:06:36 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 3:

I've had one pet die on my time, yes.

00:06:40 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 1:

What happens when you're a professional pet-sitter and that happens? Do they knock you down to the minors?

00:06:45 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 3:

No. I called the client and took the dog to the back. And then we went from there, and the vet talked to the client.

00:06:57 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 1:

So the dog was already sick then, huh?

00:07:00 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it was an older dog. Yeah, it was an older dog. She passed away. She had internal bleeding.

00:07:06 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 1:

Oh, wow.

00:07:07 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 3:

This is good to know, by the way.

00:07:10 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 1:

This is good to know that there's professional pet sitters. Shelby.

00:07:14 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

00:07:15 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Shelby.

00:07:17 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 5:

Hi, good morning.

00:07:18 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 1:

You had a pet die while you were pet sitting?

00:07:21 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 5:

I had three pets die. Oh, my gosh. Girl, and you kept going to work? Okay, so I'm not a professional pet sitter. I was pet sitting for a co-worker of mine, and they didn't die on my watch. But, like, a week or so after I was pet sitting, their cat passed away, like, due to old age. But their cat passed away, their goldfish passed away, and their rabbit passed away. All within, like, a few weeks. I know. And I felt so bad. And that doesn't make me look really good, but they called me back to watch their dogs again. They did.

00:07:57 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 1:

That's amazing. By the way, they must have been really desperate if they're calling the lady who killed three of their animals. And you've got to sign up, Shubb. It'd be a part of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. Listen to this one here. Hey, Mojo in the Morning, what's up? How you doing, Dawn? Hi. Hi, Dawn. What happened to you when you were pet sitting?

00:08:18 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 4:

The dog's eye popped out. Oh, my God. Did you know that that could happen? No, I had no idea. I was freaking out, and then I had to take it to an emergency vet, and they had to end up taking the eyeball out and throwing the eye shut. Oh, my gosh. While these people were away, when they got back, their dog had the vet with his eyes.

00:08:40 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 1:

Where did the eyeball fall to, the ground?

00:08:43 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 4:

It stuck to the hair of the eye. You know, the dog had the hair around the eyes. Yeah. It was stuck to the hair on the eye.

00:08:53 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 1:

Because with my luck, it would fall to the ground, and the dogs would eat it before I noticed that it was gone.

00:08:57 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. You come back from vacation, your dog is a pirate. It was so partially attached. It was sticking out.

00:09:04 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 1:

Watch this. Did you hear, Kirby? No, I didn't hear. What did you say, Kirby?

00:09:06 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 3:

Listen, you come back from vacation, your dog is a pirate.

00:09:12 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 1:

Listen to this tragedy. Samantha.

00:09:18 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 2:

Good morning.

00:09:20 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 1:

Samantha, what happened to your daughter's goldfish?

00:09:24 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 2:

We put his tank on the windowsill in the kitchen just so we could see the pretty colors and stuff. And I was rushing around the kitchen washing dishes. And I just noticed, I'm like, where is Mr. Noodles? And I'm like kind of panicked and looked down. And somehow he had slipped out of the tank and was in the garbage disposal.

00:09:42 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 6:

Yes, I'm telling you, they are nuts, these fish. People don't realize.

00:09:47 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 2:

As soon as you take that lid off. No, I didn't even have a lid. I couldn't put my hand in there, so I just prayed, and I went and got her another one. I didn't know what to do. She was so young.

00:09:57 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Oh, my gosh.

00:10:00 - 00:10:02 | Speaker 3:

Listen to, end on this story. Darren, are you there?

00:10:04 - 00:10:04 | Unknown:

Yes, sir.

00:10:05 - 00:10:11 | Speaker 3:

Darren, your brother had a friend watch his cat. Now you finish the story for us.

00:10:12 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so my brother went on vacation. He asked his friend to watch his cat for him. And he got back. He was gone for maybe two weeks. And he got back and, you know, they met up at his apartment, talked for a little bit, and his friend left. and then shortly after he texted him back and he said, hey, by the way, your cat's in your freezer. It died. Oh! Oh, my God!

00:10:35 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 3:

Wait, by the way. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. No.

00:10:38 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 1:

I guess he didn't know what to do with the cat, so he just put it in the freezer so my brother could do something with it. Oh, my gosh. Wait, all he said was a text.

00:10:48 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 3:

Wait, by the way, like, he didn't call him and tell him, hey, by the way, something's wrong with your cat, Your cat's sick or your cat died?

00:10:55 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 1:

Nope, he just thought about it after he left.

00:10:57 - 00:11:02 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. But wait a second. Why would the brother not come home, see him, and go, hey, where's my cat?

00:11:03 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. I guess it's a cat thing. I have a dog. It must be a cat thing.

00:11:10 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. My cat's in the freezer. Oh, good Lord.

00:11:14 - 00:11:43 | Speaker 2:
