All right, coming up this hour on the Mojo in the Morning Show, lots of Beyonce news for you. Shannon's got it in the dirty, so she's going to get into that coming up. A lot of news about her tour, but also a lot of news about the Grammys last night. People, you know, not happy about the Grammys. She did set a record, which was awesome, so she still got the record. But the big thing that I wanted to just mention briefly, and I know you'll talk more about it in the dirty, is beyonce and jay-z were late because they got stuck in traffic last night and i want to know if they when they get stuck in traffic and they're late to things are they like we are because whenever i get stuck in traffic my sphincter just gets tighter i don't know what the story i just

did arrive just as the show was starting she was about 45 minutes late almost an hour late so it made me wonder like did they have a thing at home like listen i can't wait for you anymore i'm just

gonna go you get there when you get there but he usually is the wife that gets that somewhere on time and the husband doesn't come on time or vice versa i don't know because i'll tell you what guys

wait for their if she wasn't ready and he was ready your only job is to sit there and wait and You'd be late with your wife. You can't leave without her.

But he also had his performance. Maybe he was there for soundcheck earlier, and that's the reason why.

All right, so I want to ask this question. That was one of those moments. Well, she was almost late because we were trying to get there and we got stuck in traffic. And she was like one of those things where she didn't think that she was going to, like, oh, they're going to maybe induce me or whatever because she was starting to feel not so well. But she almost had the baby right there out on the road, which would have been crazy.

Like my sister. Yeah, that's right. My sister had her baby in the car.

Yeah. Yeah, which comes to mind that when Joe was being born, I got pulled off the air for Joe, and that was a weird one too because all I kept thinking the whole time is, you know how you do this when you have to leave to go to something? You always stay at the station a little bit longer than you're supposed to. You guys do this a lot like I do, where you're here and you know you have to be at an appointment and stuff like that, and you're like, I got an appointment at 1230, and you leave at 1220 thinking you're going to get 30 minutes away from here.

That was me on Friday. At a time? Very late.

Uh, that's, uh, that's the thing with L.A. If you've never been to L.A., worst traffic ever. You think that there's bad traffic in our town around certain areas, you know, during, uh, you know, the afternoon rush hour or morning rush hour. That's like L.A. at 2 a.m.

I was out there a few weeks ago. It took me an hour and 15 minutes to go 10 miles. It's crazy. Yeah, the airport to hotel was exactly 10 miles. It took us an hour and 15 minutes.

Dorothy, what were you late for?

A funeral.

Oh, geez.

Horrible. Who was a funeral? Horrible, horrible. One of my close good, good friends. And I didn't get to say my final goodbyes because as I was walking in, they were walking out. So I don't know if the funeral was like the blink of an eye, but I was really sad about that because I woke up on time and I was trying to hurry up and watch out the house. And yeah, so that was an important event.

Yeah. How late were you if the funeral was already over with? You had to be really late.

I was about like 45 minutes late.

Could you ask them to dig the body back up just so you could say goodbye?

We're going to have both. Thank you. I appreciate that. When I'm late for something, like, so today I was almost late because, you know, I get to the station like after 5 o'clock, so I'm still here well before the time of our start. But I made it a point of, all right, we're going to, you know, KP, Lydia, and I are going to be here by 515. You know, everybody else be here by 530. I'm sitting at Starbucks picking up the order for everybody. And as I'm getting the Starbucks order, the girl at Starbucks is talking to me about her life story. And I'm like, I got to go. I got to get out of here. But I don't want to cut it short. I know. I think it was the first one in the entire drive-thru line. What's going on, Karen? What were you late?

Oh, good morning. I wasn't late at all, but the priest for our wedding was late. He was late for an hour.

Oh, my gosh. Did you look at that as a bad omen, or do you think that's fine?

Well, you know what? The thing was, we were originally going to have it at 5 p.m., and then we switched it to 4, so he got goofed up. But, yeah, my husband was nervous. My dad, when he actually brought me down the aisle, said, well, here she is, finally.

so everybody that was there at the church were probably all sitting in the pews for a while

wondering is she got cold feet oh yeah i thought my mom i thought my mom was gonna have a stroke but it gets funnier my husband's name is robert and the priest got calling him bob and all his relatives in california were like who the hell is bob we were there on time but the priest uh goofed it up oh my god well hey how about this one

And that's not as bad as Matt. Matt, what were you late for?

I was late for my wedding. I was getting a haircut and got stuck in traffic.

Oh, Matt. That's not good.

You were getting your hair cut like an hour before the wedding?

Well, I had to grab a couple extra things just for the reception, a couple extra decorations. And I figured while I was out, I'd get my hair cut. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh.

How long? Well, it's probably still happening. I bet your wife's still bringing that up, isn't she?

Oh, yeah. They were waiting on me.

Oh, man. Grace, you were late for the birth of your own baby?

Yes, I was. Unfortunately, it was my third child, and I labored at home, and at the last minute, we were driving to Commerce to deliver, and we get in an elevator at the hospital and this gentleman's arguing with my husband about wanting to go down in the elevator. We had to go up while I'm in labor. And as soon as I got in the room, I had the baby. Oh my god.

Wait, so these guys are sitting there arguing about this. The guy didn't understand that you were pregnant?

He did. He did. Because I was in labor while I was in the elevator.

And the guy didn't give a rat's ass, huh?

He didn't give a rat's kiss at all. And they're going back and forth, and I'm like, just let him go down. I'll be honest.

Oh, my God.

Because I had four kicks like that. I always labored at home, and then when I got there, I just spit them out. Yeah. Smeased them right out.

Did it sound a little bit like this?

I'm not really sure I was young so I really don't remember That's great She was late And then the whole family, like, jokes about it to this day.

Because we're always late for everything.

You know what's funny? And, Spike, I always wanted you to ask your buddy Tim, who's a funeral director, about this one. My buddy told me that he went to a funeral about a year or so ago. And the funeral person that was driving the hearse went the wrong way and had about 40 cars. or 50 cars behind them following and they ended up having to go through a neighborhood where they're like kids playing and stuff like that it was like the weirdest oh man there's no excuse for

that nowadays right i mean you've fallen google maps i wonder how often that happened well they work on they work with the same cemeteries every week so you do it so many times so unless it's a

new employee that has never driven there before it's crazy it was in chicago he said he said it was the wildest thing he says we were just driving and driving forever and i'm like going where are we going and it's one of those things you ever follow somebody and you know they're going the wrong way and you don't know if you should continue to follow but he's like if i don't continue to follow this is like getting disrespectful so
