Hey guys, Bobby Bones here, host of The Bobby Bones Show. I'm always tired because I wake up at 3 o'clock in the morning. But it's all worth it because I get to hang out with all my friends and my studio. We share our lives. We look for as much good in the world as we possibly can with Tell Me Something Good. And we talk through the biggest news stories of the day. And also your biggest and favorite country artists are always stopping by. On the Gulf Coast, check us out on 95KSJ. And lock us in as a preset on the free iHeartRadio app today. Food math hasn't been mathing lately.

00:01:24 - 00:01:52 | Speaker 6:

But at Zaxby's, we're fixing the equation. Zaxby's has 10 traditional or boneless wings for $10. Toss in eight signature sauces or three bowl dry rubs. 10 wings for $10? At Zaxby's, the math is mathing, unlike the other chicken spots. Zaxby's 10 for 10. Nothing but 10s across the board. Respectfully. Who's got the sauce? Limited time or for available only at participating locations while supplies last.

Mojo in the Morning Show we have a big event that is coming up here very soon it is our Mojo in the Morning Naughty Moms Night Out yesterday we went to do a little planning and got a chance to hang out with people at the hotel that we're going to be doing this at it's going to be fun so be listening for that coming up here in the next couple of weeks but something happened to Lydia who Lydia does on our show the phone screening But she also does, you know, and helps us with our promotions and, you know, our charitable stuff and breaking into Christmas wish. So yesterday was you and I and Julie, and then I had to take off. But you got stuck in the parking garage.

00:03:04 - 00:03:41 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. So you had left and I had left about 20 minutes after you and you had mentioned that you were a little bit tired. So I let you go on your way. And as I was walking out and entering the parking garage, I was really excited to get home because I wanted to take a nap, too. And I pulled out of my parking spot. I'm ready to go out, and I notice I don't have my parking ticket. So I'm like, hmm, I'm pretty sure I set it in the cup holder. So I'm digging around. I'm looking. It's not there. So I back my car up, and I pull it to the side, and I'm like, who am I going to call? I'm like, I need help. And then, you know, I couldn't call you. I called my mom.

00:03:41 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 7:

Oh, you could have called me.

00:03:42 - 00:03:43 | Speaker 1:

I know, but.

00:03:43 - 00:03:46 | Speaker 7:

I would have helped you from sleeping at that particular moment.

00:03:46 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 1:

so I had to dig out of the inside of my car to find this ticket so I'm looking around I'm doing everything I can I was just thinking in my head I'm like am I going to be stuck here what am I going to do so I emptied out my whole center council I'm emptying out my glove box I'm digging under my seats I can't find it yeah until I open up my tote bag and what do I see it's like the golden ticket just sitting right in my tote bag it had been there the whole time it was there the

00:04:14 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 7:

I always wonder when you go to the parking garage at the airport or if you're in a town like we were in Birmingham yesterday or Royal Oak or Grand Rapids, Toledo, and you get one of those parking tickets, if you don't have your parking ticket, what happens? Can you get out with your car or do you have to pay like a fee or something like that that's more than what you're supposed to be charged for parking?

00:04:38 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 4:

I think they charge you the highest rate for the day. Because I know it's the same with turnpikes, too. Like, if you get off the Ohio turnpike and you don't have the little ticket, they charge you the highest, basically traveling the entire length of the highway. But what happens if you park— What about the airport?

00:04:54 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, what if you park at the airport and you're there for days? Right. Will they charge you—

00:04:58 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 2:

Will they charge you for a week, or what do they do?

00:05:00 - 00:05:15 | Speaker 3:

That one's different because they have the cameras now with the license plate readers, so they know how much. Like if you call, you don't have your ticket or you can't find the credit card you entered, they'll come and they'll type in your license plate number and it'll tell them how long you stayed.

00:05:15 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 2:

Parking garages freak me out because I am always the person that is stuck at the front and can't get out. I think I told this story about being in Grand Rapids like what, a week or so ago when we were there. And I couldn't get my freaking credit card To fit into the Yeah it was crazy So Lydia the entire time That you're doing this Were you cussing my name out because I had left early

00:05:40 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 1:

No but I was a little bit like Not disappointed but I felt bummed out Because I had no help And you would probably be the closest person to me At that time

00:05:49 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 2:

You could have called Shannon She lived right by the place we were at yesterday

00:05:53 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 1:

But how is Shannon going to bail me out of a parking garage

00:05:55 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 4:

Oh I would have broken you out You know, I had a girlfriend go right through one of those gates one time. Really? Oh, my gosh. That is not recommended. I had her call in, remember?

00:06:02 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 2:

I've always wanted, honestly, to do that. That would be the greatest. Just drive through one of those gates.

00:06:09 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 1:

Don't do that.

00:06:10 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 2:

When somebody's chasing you. Yes.

00:06:11 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 1:

Don't do it. But now that I think about it, like, what could have you done for me, too?

00:06:15 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 2:

I know. Shannon would have been better. Actually, maybe I should replay it from earlier this morning in a little bit, or you've got to go listen to the podcast. But my experience leaving yesterday was a little different. I actually ran into a lady who dropped her sex toy out on the streets.

00:06:33 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 4:

Well, her tote bag.

00:06:34 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 2:

Well, yeah, and it came out of her bag.

00:06:37 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 4:

Came bouncing out.

00:06:38 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 2:

Exactly. It came out shining in the sun, too. That was the other thing, too. It was a shiny one. Yes. Ta-da! I didn't mention exactly what it looked like, But it was one of those ones where I needed to put sunglasses on because it was shining so bright.

00:06:57 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 4:

Am I the only person that is the biggest idiot? You can just answer that question, yes, before I even continue. That when I am leaving a parking garage or even when I'm going in sometimes, I feel like even though they only give you a little bit of space, I'm parked so far away that I have to undo my seatbelt, roll down my window, and open my door a little bit. Maybe I just have short arms because I'm short. They put them at an awkward angle.

00:07:17 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, sometimes they're tough to exit. You've got to make a turn right before, and you've got to try to get close to the box, but there's all those concrete things.

00:07:26 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 2:

757 says, you just pay the daily rate, guys. This is ridiculous. What a dumb topic. Well.

00:07:32 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Well, we were just wondering.

00:07:34 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 2:

And their number is 757-3. A couple other ones here. Lost my ticket. Had the same exact thing happen to me at the airport. It's super expensive. What's going on, Adam? Hi.

00:07:48 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 5:

Hey, what's going on? And, yeah, the way the credit card terminal works, over at the airport, you put in your credit card.

00:07:54 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 4:

Now you can do that. Yeah. A lot of parking graduates do that now, too.

00:07:57 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 2:

But what if you lose your credit card while you were away on vacation?

00:08:01 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 5:

What if you run out of money and they try to charge that to the credit card? That's actually, I never thought about that.

00:08:07 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 2:

That's true. You can't spend as much on your card if you have, like, a limit. Yeah, be careful of that. Right through the gate. What do you think about that, Adam? Next time we just drive right through the gate?

00:08:17 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I would definitely do it.

00:08:19 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 2:

It would be so much fun.

00:08:21 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 3:

It's going to damage your car, too.

00:08:22 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's true. How about a rental car? To drive a rental car through the gate.

00:08:26 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I wouldn't do it with my personal car, but if I had a rental.

00:08:29 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, right through that gate. What's happening, Mojo in the Morning? Hello.

00:08:34 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 6:

Hey, I just was listening to you guys talk about the parking ticket stuff. Yeah. And I had an interesting story to tell about a time I tried to get out of paying one of those.

00:08:44 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 2:

What did you do?

00:08:46 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 6:

Well, I just said that I lost my ticket. And because I had been there for like two weeks and I was like, oh, I said my daughter, which I don't have any kids, but my daughter parks her car here or parks my car here and I'm here to pick it up. And they know I don't have the ticket. And long story short. Yeah, they have the like, wait, they take a picture of like your license plate. So it was like for almost 500 bucks. So they caught you in your lie.

00:09:12 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 2:

Do you feel like it was karma getting back at you? yeah probably yeah that that sucks by the way that there's technology that nowadays you know

00:09:22 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 3:

why does it suck they have they're robbing a business they're doing it robbing us charging us they are at the airport it is asinine oh absolutely but listen that lady was just trying to beat the system and we're like that sucks that they have things to catch people well guess who

00:09:37 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 2:

pays for those people by the way those people downtown too those parking garage a lot of people

00:09:42 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 4:

So, highway robbery.

00:09:44 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 2:

Ridiculous how much they charge. Unbelievable. Lydia, you could have done what Jackie did. Hi, Jackie.

00:09:52 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 6:

Yep.

00:09:53 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Jackie. How did you get out of having to pay an exorbitant amount for parking?

00:10:00 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 3:

out uh and we had a couple drinks uh with my friends and i and we had a dd and i don't know what they were doing because they lost the ticket and none of us wanted to pay for it so one of my friends in the car just offered to flash the parking attendant in return we got out for free

00:10:15 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 6:

just showed off the boobies and it got you that's great i mean they were good mojo in the morning tyler how you doing hey how's it going good tyler what's happening we were talking about uh being stuck in the parking garage yeah so i work in a small at a small

00:10:34 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 7:

architecture firm in birmingham um and off of peabody street there's a parking structure and about once a week we'll see that it'll be laying on the ground the the meter basically so people run through it about once a week so recently they just uh they just updated the system and people are still having issues with it so it's an issue with how you put your card in

00:10:58 - 00:11:02 | Speaker 6:

Oh, wow And so they'll just drive their car right through the thing Does it damage their car, do you know?

00:11:04 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 7:

I haven't seen someone actually do it But my co-workers have said that they do it You know, it's Birmingham, so it's a little bougie here

00:11:11 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, nice cars I wouldn't be driving my nice car through that thing How about Ari? This is wild Ari, how you doing?

00:11:19 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 4:

Hey, good morning, guys So my fiancée owns a lot downtown And they actually just got a gate And people keep driving through it Like, it's nothing Not only your people driving through it, but you have people that are still trying to sell, you know, spots when people are gone for the night. It's just wild. Wow.

00:11:36 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 6:

Wow. So they'll drive through the gate or they'll try to sell their spots because they buy a spot for a certain amount of time. And what do they do, just put a ticket or something in there?

00:11:46 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 4:

No, so they'll try to literally force open the gate, like literally try to force open it so that they can, like, sell spots.

00:11:53 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 6:

Somebody texted us from Grand Rapids and said that parking is so expensive there and it costs them so much because they work downtown. So what they do is they wait for the person in the car ahead of them to pay for the parking and then quickly drive their butt through, hoping that the thing doesn't come down.

00:12:08 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 3:

You can do that?

00:12:09 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 5:

Well, yeah, there's a sensor on the pavement so it doesn't come down on the hood of your car.

00:12:12 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 1:

Oh. So it's got to be really tight. That's brilliant.

00:12:16 - 00:12:28 | Speaker 6:

By the way, that texter, hold on a second here. It says Mike from SNN. No, no idea what you're talking about. Mike, you know what you do with a little side hustle money? Don't you have a parking pass for the lot there from iHeart?

00:12:29 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, how much does Grand Rapids card do? Like $20? It was. Do it for $19.

00:12:34 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 6:

Loan it to people, and then what they have to do is they have to bring it back to you at the end of the day. Find a neighbor or something.

Food math hasn't been mathing lately. But at Zaxby's, we're fixing the equation. Zaxby's has 10 traditional or boneless wings for $10. Tossed in eight signature sauces or three bowl dry rubs. Ten wings for $10? At Zaxby's, the math is mathing, unlike the other chicken spots. Zaxby's 10 for 10. Nothing but tens across the board. Respectfully. Who's got the sauce?
