So Luke is going on spring break and his class, the class of 2023, is doing one of the typical high school spring breaks where they all go together to some place that has 18 and over drinking you know i know that they all say they're going to a warm climate but they never seem to go to a warm climate like florida or arizona because there's 21 and over drinking they always end up going the parents always end up taking them to punta cana dominican republic or cancun or cabo or you know stuff like that so uh this was you know this is the trip that luke you know is set to go on and i'm not gonna lie to you guys i hate it i can't stand it from a guy who loves to have fun i hate to have fun with my son and my my two older boys did not do this senior trip they both decided not to jacob just decided that he didn't want to go on a trip so he didn't do a trip at all and then we did something i think small as a family joe on the other hand wanted to go on the trip but we didn't trust him on the trip so we bribed joe that we would take him to his favorite place disney world for his senior trip and uh as a as a family actually went to disneyland we did california and as a family we went to disneyland and then we went and took him to baseball games and stuff like that because opening day was right around that time and it was because we knew that There is very good possibility that he would be detained in in some foreign country or, God forbid, make us grandparents at an early age or something like that. I didn't want to do that. Right. So so didn't do it. So here's so here's the story. OK, Luke is not also going on this trip. So Luke had decided this on his own. I was willing to do it. He in Chelsea was, too, because it would be, you know, the last hurrah. and it's our last, you know, son and I brought a lot of bail money, you know, put a lot of side, a lot of bail money, but Luke decided he didn't want to do it. So instead for his spring break, we are going to North Carolina to go golfing. Just you and him. No. So it's Luke. It's the whole, it's the family. So it's Chelsea, myself and Luke, and then Luke's best buddy, Jack, and then his mom and dad, um, you know, uh, Vince and Kim are going to go. So it's this six of us all going on this golf trip and it's it's i think honestly it's more fun than going to disney in disney obviously is a place that a lot of people would love to go to i quite possibly think it's boring as hell more boring than golf um but i want it i wanted to to to do this because i saw these pictures of all of our friends whose kids go to the public schools in destinations like Acapulco or Cabo, you know, they stayed at the Hard Rock Cafe, or Hard Rock Hotel in Cabo, and I'm seeing these pictures.

I want to know what craziness happened on these trips. We'll voice this, guys, and you don't even have to say what school you went to or in the past, because.

I went on one of those trips once when Luke was younger, and that's the reason why Luke didn't want to go. So in the past, Luke has gone on that trip, but he's gone as like a 9- or 10-year-old.

A brother to his friend was on the trip, and we decided as a family to tag along. Yes. And I'm going to say this off bat, and if you're somebody that works at the Hard Rock in Punta Icana, you guys have a nice place. but it was awful for me it was horrible it was horrible to see these kids who i know is just high school kids drinking and partying and passing out in the hallways and the food kind of sucked

and you know it is that's like the all-inclusive thing happened to me but it was worse because i was in high school i was a freshman in high school which when you're a freshman i mean maybe i'm speaking for myself but i was so self-conscious and my parents decided that we were going to take a family trip to cancun for spring break so i'm there and i'm a freshman and i see all the seniors from my high school partying it up and i'm with my mom and my stepdad at the time and my like two little sisters on the beach it was so awkward so wait so everybody was there

and your sisters are building like sand castles and stuff yes and i'm reading my babysitter's

club book on the beach which i still read in ninth grade go ahead and judge me chapter books

it was so weird yeah it it is to me i don't the parents that do this and it can do it with their without having anxiety i love you guys i couldn't i would have been if luke was going on this trip knowing that he was going to be partying and stuff like that and listen there are kids that don't get themselves into trouble and majority of them don't but there's always the one kid and i remember the year that i went the one year i went there was the one kid and he ended up getting like arrested or something like that you know or had issues there were a few bars that got stuck in mexico i remember and i listen when all the families are trying to get bail money together i'm like going holy crap what's going on but i have to be perfectly honest with you golf going golfing with luke is going to be so much fun but it's not going to be that exciting i mean it's not for him i mean well i think it is he loves golf so he and jack love golf they that's the big thing so they they don't you know want to do this but i can get guess that they'll probably get pictures and stuff from friends that uh that are on the trip watch and go crazy

happen to you guys because you're having this conversation now about we're just going golfing in north carolina i'm telling you you're jinxing yourself with this conversation i'm gonna get

arrested for drinking too much on the golf course or something can you can you get in trouble for driving around on the golf course yes i think you can get a dui if uh you know maybe i don't know if you're on a public street or something like that but you can get public intoxication probably i got

kicked off of a golf course once for how i was driving around and those i wasn't playing i was bored so i was screwing around and they totally kicked me off the course they were like get out

i i want to hear the stories look at these texts that are coming in with some of these stories oh my gosh these people like go out there and go go crazy partying it up at their their high school party or their high school spring break, isn't it that the kids got to be careful, did not get in trouble? Like, you're a month or so away, a little over a month away from your going on your graduation. Yeah.

Now, this is his senior spring break. Do the seniors do a trip to like a senior class trip around graduation time?

I don't know. I don't think so. I think this is it.

Do you guys have a senior skip day? Yes. Because here it was super common to go to Cedar Point. Same. But I had my mom write me a note, so I didn't go. Of course you did.

Of freaking course you did. I did. But I did go. Your mom wrote you a note for a seniors gift day. Shut up. I just know the girl in the front office was like, of course.

Did they excuse you? Were you the only person on seniors gift day with an excused absence?
