All right, it is Mojo in the morning. Yesterday was fun. We had a chance to kind of hang out and have lunch with the mayor of Detroit, Mayor Mike Duggan, who's been the mayor through probably the biggest transition that the city of Detroit has ever had. He started being the mayor when Detroit went through bankruptcy and now is leaving that and going to run for the governor of the state of Michigan. And he'll be done as mayor as of the first of the year, I believe. And then there's like an election going on right now, which by the way I think the early voting for the election for the city of Detroit starts I think it's tomorrow if I'm not mistaken I know it's this week they're going to narrow it down in a primary to get down to two candidates because right now they've got 890 candidates for a mayor it seems like everybody wants to run for that office but it was cool and the last time that I saw Mayor Mike Duggan was when we had the draft in town because I do everything I can to stay away from politicians i'm not a big uh hang out with politicians type of a person although i really enjoy this guy i enjoy him because i you know used to do stuff with him all the time when he was running the the dmc the detroit medical centers he was the uh the ceo of dmc hospital the children's hospital he kind of rebuilt that whole thing but uh long story short it was pretty wild he has like a security detail that uh that comes in first and then scopes out the joint kind of make sure everything's okay and uh you know make sure that you are who you are and then uh he shows up and it's it's weird because uh he shows up and he he doesn't have like it's not like how kwame used to be uh the old mayor of detroit the the one that got himself into a little bit of trouble. Kwame had a driver and about 8,000 security people. He's got like two or three security people that come before him. And then he drives himself, which is, to me, wild. Because if one thing I was going to do if I was a big politician, I'd have somebody drive me. I wouldn't drive. I don't want to drive. First of all, I don't want to have to park. You know what the worst thing in the world is? It's trying to find a parking spot. But this was actually kind of interesting. So it was Shannon, Lydia, myself, and then our boss Colleen was there. And then he had his people with him. And Kev, you could not make it yesterday. And you missed this because this was interesting. Lydia was trying to flirt with the mayor. With the mayor? I was noticing. I sat next to Lydia. I did not think she was flirting. There was one point, the way that the seats were, we were sitting at what looked like

00:04:44 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 3:

the fine dining table that your grandma had when you'd go over on Thanksgiving and you'd eat in that room that nobody ever used but Thanksgiving. So we were sitting, we went to the DAC and they had like this little area room where it was just us kind of. of like privately by ourselves and on one side of the table it was Lydia at the end and then Shannon and then uh it was uh Colleen our boss and then Jeff uh Sackwa uh and then on the other side of table it was the mayor right across from Lydia then me right across from Shannon and Colleen and then the mayor's chief of staff that was right there okay and at one point I look over at Lydia and she's got this sweater on that's that's she had it hanging down off of her shoulder

00:05:33 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 2:

that must have been the other side of me right because i didn't notice that well i ended up

00:05:39 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 3:

taking it off and then and then takes then takes the sweater off slow music actually it's kind of weird because remember i was telling you about the security detail yeah The security detail started perking up at that particular moment. The security detail was kind of like, hold on a second. I think we're supposed to intervene at this particular moment because we're starting to notice that the weapons are coming out.

00:06:09 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 1:

Well, I did end up putting the sweater back on because I realized something else was out.

00:06:15 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 3:

Whoa.

00:06:15 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 1:

And they were showing through my dress.

00:06:18 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 3:

Wow.

00:06:18 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 1:

Once it got too cold. So I was like, yeah, I can't be doing this in front of the mayor. Oh, like your nippies? That's off menu. I didn't know if I could say that on the air.

00:06:26 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 3:

I wasn't so much worried about Lydia, you know, trying to come across inappropriate to the mayor. I was worried that I was going to have the people from the DAC come over saying we're breaking dress code. They got a very strict dress code there. What did he eat? You know what?

00:06:45 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 2:

He had the same thing I did. We all had the same thing. Actually, the three of us had the same thing.

00:06:48 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I think we had a tuna salad, chicken salad plate with fruit on it. It was very healthy. And zucchini bread. It was delicious. Does iHeart pay for that, or is that part of our text? Well, they better. No, no, no. I flipped the bill, but I hope that iHeart will pay for that. Does the beer drink?

00:07:10 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 2:

Okay, it's so funny you said that, Kev. We were walking in, and I said to Lydia, all I want right now is a glass of wine. So bad. And I said, but I can't order a glass of wine unless the mayor order something with alcohol in it. And I don't think he's going to, but maybe he'll surprise me. So we sit down and the waitress comes around and she's taking everybody's drink order. And I'm like, please, please, please, please, please get something. And he's like, I'll have a Coke.

00:07:35 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 3:

Dang it. Diet Coke. I think he got a diet. Yeah, I think he was dieting. Yeah, I think he's, you know, he's running for governor, so he's got to make sure he looks good. He's got to look good. And, you know, what's funny is that I don't know if our SNX listeners know Mayor Duggan as much as the people in Detroit know Mayor Duggan because of, you know, he's running for the governor's race. And he's not running as a Democrat, which he's a Democrat, but he's running as an independent, which is kind of an interesting thing because I don't know what that means. I think it means that he doesn't have to go through the whole process of a primary. Oh, really? Yeah, yeah. So he can actually run against whoever the Democrat or the Republican is. But back to the what do you order and what you don't order thing. When you go around the table, you always look at everybody's meals. I don't know if you guys are like this. And when I looked at everybody's meals, again, back to Lydia. I'm not picking on you, Lydia. Had the best of all the things. Let's go. Like we ordered, Shannon and myself and Mr. Mayor ordered the worst meal possible.

00:08:44 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 2:

See, it was good, but it was the safe meal. It was too healthy. Everybody got the safe meal. I wanted what you got. Lydia got a tuna melt. But I thought to myself, oh God, I'm going to be crunching on this bread, trying to like bite this thing. It's going to be slopping, falling on my plate and all over me because I'm not a neat eater. I really want that, but I have to have like something that I can eat like a normal human being and not look ridiculous. Lydia, you did not look sloppy, by the way. I'm just saying

00:09:10 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 3:

I know me. Did you say you're not a meat eater? Or what did you say? I'm not a neat eater. What did you say, Shannon?

00:09:18 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 2:

I'm not a neat eater. Oh, Santa

00:09:20 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 3:

eat meat. Oh, I eat meat. Okay. She wanted to have a piece of my meat. Because I thought you were

00:09:26 - 00:09:30 | Speaker 2:

kind of getting tough being surrounded by slaughterhouses here in Eastern Market at this radio station.

00:09:31 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 3:

But... So all y'all had tuna? Everybody just ordered? Is that the only It was most boring Cab we needed you there What the Why are y'all eating tuna We needed you there Tuna's good Fruit was good

00:09:42 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 1:

Tuna salad plate That's what everybody got Colleen got a salad I'm like come on guys Bring out the sandwich

00:09:47 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 3:

It sounds like All y'all on the same menstrual cycle No no I'm on the GLP one

00:09:52 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 2:

I am in fact On my menstrual cycle

00:09:54 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 3:

Anybody else Surprise

00:09:56 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Lots of those have a puree But I just got one We're in our own slaughterhouse

00:09:59 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 3:

Anybody else here Taking a

00:10:00 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 5:

GLP-1? Because I take a GLP-1, I can't eat what I used to eat. Yeah, one of those weight loss shots. Because I'm going to tell you this to you. Those things ruin your fun. It used to be going to Red Coat and getting a big ass burger. Now I go there and get a rustique salad. Oh, I got home in

00:10:16 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 6:

about two and a half hours after I got home. My stepdaughter, Samantha, and I went out and got food because I was hungry.

00:10:21 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 5:

That's bad. But it was nice. Lydia, did you at all, like, do women know this do women know when their uh dress their attire because it's like a for a guy if a guy's zipper open you have to have somebody say your zipper is open like do people like do you want to know as a uh a woman do you want to know that or is that just something that you oh i don't mind like do you do you want it like when you said it was cold and stuff like that would it have been appropriate for shannon to say to you lydia uh the headlights are out or what is it i would have

00:10:57 - 00:10:59 | Speaker 6:

I absolutely told her had I noticed. Yeah.

00:10:59 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 5:

Is it like when, because this happens to me a lot, and this shows you a sign that I'm getting old, my cell phone light always comes on accidentally. It only happened to my dad back in the day. Now it happens to me all the time. Like, is that what that's like? Your phone light's on?

00:11:13 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 7:

Shannon said to me, she goes, it's kind of chilly in here. And then I look down and I'm like, oh, it is chilly.

00:11:18 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 6:

I swear I did not notice your boobs. So you can't feel it.

00:11:22 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 7:

You can feel it, right?

00:11:24 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 6:

You can feel it. I don't know. You are obsessed with chilling.

00:11:26 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 7:

I'm only asking because I've gotten mine reduced, so I no longer have the original feeling that I would have before.

00:11:33 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 5:

Oh, it's not as sensitive anymore.

00:11:35 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, so I can't really remember.

00:11:37 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Interesting. Never mind. I need to have that, by the way, because I have chronic... By the way, that and then yesterday I wore a tighter shirt because I knew we were going to take a picture, and it looks better in stand-up pictures.

00:11:49 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 6:

Pinching his nipples right now. It's so weird.

00:11:51 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 5:

Yesterday I was wearing a button-up, and I wore it, and it's a tighter shirt, and on that video with Zach, my belly button was popped open or was opening up all the time and I was kind of bursting out of it. Which, by the way, can we zoom up a little bit on this camera? You have a thing with these cameras lately. KP made me look so much better. You're talking about the way you look. Again, Bianca's, ever since Bianca started, I think she's purposely trying to make me.

00:12:16 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 7:

You start wearing dark shirts. No, I don't.

00:12:17 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 5:

I never, I hadn't worn dark shirts in like the last two years I've been trying to. But my camera Shannon's camera is right here up on her face Mine is way too zoomed in I'd rather have mine zoomed in I've got a great face I don't know if you know this But I look so much better up here

00:12:34 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 7:

Last time you said it was too zoomed in So I zoomed all the way out But pull it up a little bit

00:12:39 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 5:

And also I showed it to Chelsea yesterday Chelsea says I gotta sit straight up more So I'm gonna be like this

00:12:47 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 7:

Fix your posture, you look skinnier right now I can already tell Do I? Oh, wow.

00:12:50 - 00:12:58 | Speaker 5:

How you doing? When I talk, though, it's going to be like this. So that's going to be like that. How you doing? How's it going? All right.

00:12:58 - 00:12:59 | Speaker 7:

I'll crop you so your stomach doesn't even show.

00:12:59 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 6:

How about that? I know. Look at those. Those are sharp.

00:13:01 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 5:

Hold on a second. Hold on. We got these ergonomic. I'm going to cut glass.

00:13:05 - 00:13:06 | Speaker 6:

What is he doing?

00:13:06 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 5:

I'm cutting glass. What does that mean? Oh, my God. Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. I'm telling you, I need to get mine reduced. If anybody can help me with those, please.
