I had to decline some calls that I didn't feel were as important.

The vibe with Lydia on the phones and the listeners, I felt like is never the same. Even KP and I were talking about this. KP said, I never realize how good Lydia is until I'm sitting behind that desk. There's 8,000 text messages coming in with comments and there's phones ringing.

She said she doesn't know how you call texters at the same time as you're answering calls.

It's kind of a strategy, but it's hard to do at first. And if you haven't done it for a while, it takes some time.

Yeah. It is legit one of the hardest things that is done here on the show. And some people think that, you know, everybody's got different roles on the show. And listen, we all have roles for a reason, right? And we all do a great job with it. And when somebody is missing, even Kev being missing this morning and KP being missing this morning too, yeah, there's not the same vibe. But it's one of those things when we are all together and the whole orchestra is performing, there's just something about that performance that is going on. Look at this. The phone's ringing without you answering it right now, and I'm not even picking it up blindly like I was doing the other day.

I relaxed. I redid my room a little bit, did some organizing. But I also drove to Ohio for a night to see some friends who live in Cincinnati.

Say it right. Cincinnati. Thank you. We got drunk, had some espresso martinis, but I only stayed for like a day. And during my time in Ohio, I noticed I was getting a rash up my leg.

Oh, boy.

And it looks like there are bumps from my ankle up to my thigh. Yeah. Have you seen it, Megan? No. I'll have to send you some photos. It's pretty bad.

It's nasty looking. Yeah. It is. No, it really is. I'm not joking.

At first, I thought it was razor burn, but now it's like going completely up my leg. Now, I went to go see Dr. Warner, and he recommended me go to a dermatologist. And this dermatologist looked at my leg and was like, in my 20 years of practice, I've never seen anything like that before. so I went to a different derm and they can't figure out what's wrong with me

I just texted my friend his partner said he's waking up in about an hour and a half he's a dermatologist as well

but can I tell you what's going around because one of my family members they're saying that there's a Lyme disease going on

and there's an issue with the... The ticks? There's some kind of a Lyme disease and then there also is something with the cicadas and these bugs that were here this summer.

What's the Lyme disease? Wouldn't it hurt? Because these don't hurt. They just itch a little bit. Isn't monkeypox, Mary?

yeah hi john what's going on uh when i was in the marines back you know in 1980 something oh geez we did an exercise on a beach in the philippines and we caught something called i caught something called herpes zostra and what it is it's it's you get this rash and but it only affects one part of your body at a time it looked like i had a vest on like one half of my chest it went around from the center of my chest all the way to the right side to the center of my back if it makes you feel any better i'm pretty sure she has the herps wow okay i okay any type of rash

No, she's fine. It usually happens to me when I'm really stressed out. I'm allergic to a lot of outdoor, like trees, grass, stuff. And usually an allergy pill really helps to take the itch away. If they, like, well tough when you itch, then they're just high.

That's interesting because she did have a very stressful last week planning our podcast live, so I don't know. I could be spurred on that.

So 10 years ago, I got scabies, and it's known as the seven-year itch. And it's the exact same bumps and symptoms that Lydia is describing. So we Google searched scabies.

It does not look like that at all. Seven-year itch, by the way. that sounds like what people get in their marriage

it was terrible I had to put a cream on for 24 hours and literally lay there with the cream on and it was the most terrible experience of my life I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy
