It is time now for On the Mojo in the Morning Show, as we're broadcasting live from Comerica Park, Lydia's Leftovers. Lydia's Leftovers. Da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da. Lydia's Leftovers is something that we came up with last week on the show. And for those that don't know, Lydia, say hello to everybody.

00:01:36 - 00:01:37 | Speaker 2:

Hi, everybody.

00:01:38 - 00:01:38 | Speaker 5:

Lydia.

00:01:38 - 00:01:42 | Speaker 2:

Lydia, I missed you today. I didn't miss you guys. You guys can stay in the cold.

00:01:43 - 00:01:44 | Speaker 5:

Oh. Damn.

00:01:44 - 00:01:45 | Speaker 2:

Nah.

00:01:45 - 00:01:46 | Speaker 5:

You did a great job, Lydia.

00:01:47 - 00:01:47 | Speaker 6:

Oh.

00:01:47 - 00:01:49 | Speaker 5:

Getting us all sick. That's what you did. Monday meeting.

00:01:50 - 00:01:51 | Speaker 6:

I already know I'm going to hear it.

00:01:51 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 5:

No, it's done. It's done. It's over and done with. Lydia's Leftovers is, for those who don't know, Lydia's our executive producer of the show. She picks all the topics that we do on the show. We all turn in our diaries. We talked about that last week if you missed the podcast. And what we want to do now is go through our topics that we sent in starting on Sunday night. And then we want to all say which topic that we think Lydia should have chosen but did not. And we don't understand why Lydia didn't choose it. So that was kind of our thing. Okay? and we'll go around the room, and everybody, you know, tell us your topic. And so seeing that Megan was limited in her ability to be on this week because she's not feeling well, for those that are wondering about her and wondering where Megan is, Megan has a horrendous sinus infection. So she has been, and she actually has, you know, been really battling it, so it's been horrible. So, all right, Lydia's leftovers on the Mojo in the Morning show. So would one of you guys like to start, or do you want me to start with which one mine was? You start. All right, I'm going to start. This was one that I chose, and this is actually something for this weekend. We are going out to a friend's birthday this weekend, and Chelsea told me that there's kind of an interesting situation with this. The place that we're going to for dinner gave us a time limit. They told us that we could have a reservation, that we're going to be there. We have to be out, though, by 745 sharp. And I love this idea. So we can get there anytime we want to before 745. Actually, I think they open up and they start serving their dinner service at like 530. But they told us 745, out the door, no questions asked because they had a reservation there afterwards for the big table. And I wanted to ask the question, what do you guys think of restaurants or places that have time limits? And shouldn't we put time limits on people having parties? Like we should give time limits. Say, you know what? We're done. I don't want to be here. to a certain time.

00:03:53 - 00:03:56 | Speaker 6:

So when did your reservation begin and when did they say you got to get out?

00:03:56 - 00:03:59 | Speaker 5:

So we're actually going to show up at 6 o'clock, so we're going to be there from 6 till 7.45.

00:04:00 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 6:

I mean, that's enough time. Yeah. Is y'all just...

00:04:03 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 5:

It's a group. It's like, I think, 12 people or something.

00:04:05 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 2:

See, it depends on the situation to me because if I'm with my girlfriends, I know that we are going to keep ordering drinks and we're going to want to stay and have a great time. But there are situations where we go out to dinner or I go out to dinner and I'm like, I, I wish that I, this could only be one hour, you know what I mean? And in that situation, I would love a time limit.

00:04:27 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 5:

I think time limits are great for family and coworkers. The hardcore besties are the ones. All right. Lydia's leftovers. Shannon, what is yours that you didn't get a chance to choose? Okay.

00:04:38 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 2:

So mine is, it's the standard wife, I guess you could say girlfriend lie. Like those things that us ladies say that our men know, we are lying through our teeth and they know it from the start. So Wes was on his way home from work, and I had to go pick up Smith from his best buddy's house. And his best buddy's mom just happens to be one of my very best.

00:05:00 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 3:

friends so I said to Wes I'm running out to grab Smith I will be back in 20 minutes knowing full well I would not be back in 20 minutes because she lives about it three minutes from me as soon as I walk in the door she pushes a glass of wine in my hand and then there we are like just catching up about everything and one glass of wine turns into two and as soon as I get home with the guiltiest look on my face I said to Wes we all know I'm never going to be at Lindsay's for just 20 minutes okay and yeah it's the standard wife lie that that's actually a good one guys have

00:05:31 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 1:

lies like that too and their lies usually and you're going to start seeing this with uh wes now that he's uh golfing he's going to be a golfer yeah is yeah it's only four hours because it's not only four hours when you go golfing yeah like the golf is only four hours but the whole hanging out and being with your buddies and stuff like six or seven hours it gets to be a thing uh kevin kevin what's your leftover i actually thought this was a good idea to do

00:05:55 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 2:

this little lydia's leftover thing but now that i think about it i don't want to do it why because i can reserve these topics and if i do them now then they're not going to matter but one you come up with a million topics a week i'm just saying so i had one where uh i went over to a friend's house and her best friend was there also and it was her birthday we get to drinking having a good time this is the first time i'm meeting my friend's friend so i'm like how did y'all meet and i wanted to know what is your crazy best friend story like how did you guys meet and become best friends these girls tell you she took her boyfriend to cancun or something like that long story short he told some other girls he was coming to cancun so his girlfriend met these girls and i guess hit it off with one of them because she was mad that he invited all these other girls and that's how

00:06:41 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 1:

they became best friends why is it that this week we have done nothing but talking about you having and these girls sleep over at your house and all this stuff. Here's a nice, normal topic from you.

00:06:52 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 5:

Who gives a rat's ass about needing friends? Lydia doesn't pick those. I don't give a rat's ass how you met your friend.

00:06:56 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Is that mic on the air, or are you just talking to my headphones? Did everybody hear that?

00:07:01 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 2:

Why are you so spicy? You're in a nice studio. Why? I'm not spicy. Why? You need your eggs, Craig.

00:07:06 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 1:

What is the story there? Okay, out of the topics, Lydia, because I thought, actually, I really do like Shannon's topic, because I think that Shanna's topic is relatable and the fact that with relationships, people all have their own little, I call them relationship lies, but we all have our little ones. But you chose other topics this week instead of choosing that one. Mine, the time limit one.

00:07:32 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 5:

I thought your time limit one was good, though.

00:07:34 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it was okay. It was mediocre. Kev's topics always blow.

00:07:38 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 4:

Actually, those are okay. Not too bad. They always blow. This last one, though, I was just not feeling it.

00:07:46 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 5:

It felt too AC for me.

00:07:48 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 1:

It was too AC?

00:07:49 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, like, if it's an edgy, how did you meet your friend? That's what I'm saying. You walked in on a three-way. But that's fine. But I don't really care if you met your friend in Cancun.

00:07:58 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 2:

You're missing the point of it all.

00:07:59 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 1:

By the way, I have to tell you that the hit it and quit it, the calls, I was a little worried they were all going to be kind of boring because the first couple we took were kind of like, eh, okay, whatever. They just sounded like they just tried to win the tickets. that turned out to be a great podcast to go listen to oh joe what's up i forgot to text you back yesterday you text me and i i left you on set that's actually a great topic you don't reply to somebody's text and then you see that you know what the worst is yeah that is horrible joe the legendary joe maroon official photographer of everybody but especially the mojo in the morning show can i joe you should have got you you should have gotten a picture of us earlier this morning when these guys all they wanted to do was get the f out of here because it was so cold it was unbelievable so uh all right all right those are the leftovers those are the leftovers for uh for this week and lydia i think you did a good job choosing those thank you but as far but as far as promotional opportunities thank you lydia i appreciate that
