good morning good morning welcome to the mojo in the morning show Without sounding like a name dropper I hung out with Spike, Shannon Megan, Mike Lydia, KP All the significant others this weekend Had fun on Saturday night You probably saw the pictures up on our social media

What a great dinner party

It was so fun Was that a dinner party or like a wedding? I thought that was like First off, I flew back into town So I was away all last week We took our midwinter break and went down and visited our son Joe down in Florida and flew back into town, made it all the way over to this really cool restaurant. I've never been, and the food was great. Lesage, that was great. So go to walk in. I can hear the music just plairing out. It was the best music. I could hear it on Crooks and Big Beaver, and the place was further down the road.

You walked in right as they transitioned from dinner to DJ dancing music. And I think it looked like the DJ knew you were walking in. Almost like he was going to present you through the double doors with the loud music.

I thought first off that I was hanging out at Shenandoah. And there was a wedding that was going on. Because it was the same DJ that I probably have seen about 12 different weddings. That was DJing Lydia's grad party. And congratulations to Lydia. Lydia graduated from Wayne State. And if those people are wondering, like, why are you guys going to a grad party in February? She graduated, what, December, right, Lydia?

Yeah, I did. I just didn't have enough time to, like, coordinate it.

No, I love that. And you know what? The people who graduate, like, mid-year, like, do the, you know, graduation mid-year, they always get screwed out of everything.

Yeah, you got the holidays. I mean, Lydia was coordinating our whole break and entering Christmas wishes. It was nice to have something to look forward to in February.

And the amazing thing was that you actually had to do finals and you had to, you know, go through graduation and everything while you're getting calls from families and getting calls from us. And, you know, it was pretty amazing that you accomplished the goal. A, first off, you graduated. So congratulations to you on that. That's huge. but also that you graduated with every single ball in the air doing that.

And congratulations on your marriage because people who weren't listening to the show and didn't know about the party saw the social media and you had a white dress on, so they all thought you were getting married.

It was the nicest grad party I've ever been to in my entire life, ever. Oh, my gosh.

I'm so happy you all had a good time. I was a little worried.

Well, beforehand, I'm like, you know, I don't know if this stuff is going to be way too much for everyone who isn't Chaldean, but I'm so happy you all enjoyed yourselves.

I'm going to say to you that if any of you guys have not been to a Chaldean wedding, we need to get Lydia married. Because, Lydia, Chaldean weddings are the greatest. They're like maybe one step below the royal weddings One step below Prince Harry getting married to Meghan Markle And I only say that because obviously the royals probably throw days worth of parties But the Chaldeans know how to throw one huge party Your parents were amazing Your family was great Grandma, what do you call a grandma?

So that was actually my aunt She's my dad's sister.

That was your aunt? I kept calling her grandma.

Okay. Well, they were calling her um-too. Is it um-too?

They were calling her um-too, and I thought that that was grandma, so I kept going, hi, grandma, and she couldn't hear her. The music was so low, Florida low was jamming, apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur, and grandma sitting in the chair. And she was sitting there like, she couldn't understand what I was saying, I couldn't understand what I was saying.

She also doesn't speak that much of English.

I kind of, honestly, I kind of figured that. I kind of figured that she had no idea what the heck I was talking about. So we just kept nodding at each other.

We're just like smiling and nodding. But the best is Lydia's mom knows the word to every rap song that was playing at the end of the day.

Oh, yeah, she does. And some of the dances. Like, she can move, Lydia.

And your dad, George, by the way, first off, this is the man who you can tell. This guy is like, he's a worker, man. He just, that guy's got, first off, I have no idea what he does for a living. He probably has like 12 different jobs and, you know, things that he does. I know he works with cars, right? He works on car.

Yeah, he's an electrical engineer on cars.

Yeah. And he was smiling from air to air. He was so proud of you. Can I ask you a question?

Are you the first in your family to graduate from college?

Yeah. So my grandparents didn't go to college. My parents didn't go to college. And then neither of my siblings did.

Give it up for her. That's awesome. You can tell they were just, they were so incredibly proud of you. Every single person there.

Wow. And now your dad's got to be happy that you work in radio. All that for this. Right. But you're happy. Actually, your mom could not be more proud of you, but also could not be more happy that you are doing what you want to do. so that that i think is pretty cool so it was fun it was so the the where did you get where did you

girls go after the party because we all decided we're gonna all go drink in the morning show and uh have some fun afterwards and then when i went to tell kp where we were going she said she like nodded to lydia and her girlfriends and said yeah thanks but i'd rather hang out With people my own age An absolute gem An absolute gem I was like ouch But also fair But ouch And then I forget At one point Yeah where did you guys You guys did go somewhere Yeah

So we went to a new Chaldean owned restaurant It's called Buma

and i know meg sent me a video on instagram of where they were at it was empty at this bar they're at the hotel and they were there's just spike walking from the bar alone back to meg and I'm like, I'm so glad I went with Lydia.

Well, we were looking for a party.

We all wanted to be able to hear each other talk. We didn't want to go to another loud DJ place. But then as we were sitting there talking for a little while, at one point, the girls were all talking about bra straps or something. And my girlfriend leaned over to me. She goes, yeah, KP was right. She made the right call.

She was part of that conversation as well.

I know.

Well, I gave her a compliment. That's why she's on my side.

Wait, so did you secretly invite her without Spike to come out?

Yeah, I said, Meg, you can come because you're not old. Yes.

Well, that is true.

She's straddling the line between both groups. That is true.

Is that difficult for you, by the way, that you have to go out with people different ages?

No, I tell her go out without me. I'm like, go ahead. You girls go out and have fun. You're the greatest boyfriend ever. Yeah. I'm like, I'll wait up. Call me if you need a ride home.

Actually, I will say this, that it was fun to go to a hotel bar, KP. And we did it because we had Mike's wife, who's pregnant. We're going to blame it on the pregnant lady.

Also, we called around to a couple of places, and they were like, yeah, we don't have room for all of you guys. So that was like the only place that we could think of.

We would have gone somewhere cool.

Yeah.

If we could actually get into cool places. We should have just stayed at the same place we were just at. We should have said to the DJ, could you, like, play for a few more minutes? We'll give you a little extra money to play for some. But it was fun. It was good. First off, it was fun to celebrate, you know, the occasion. And that is such a cool thing that you're the first grad in your entire family. And what an awesome thing. I remember when Joey graduated because my son Joe graduated from college. We celebrated it that way because that was the first person to graduate from college in our family. Yeah. In our immediate family. So that was like, it's an awesome responsibility, you know, that as the eldest to do that or the smartest one in the family.

It's also so cool. Like we never get to hang out, all of us all together. It is such a rare occasion when that happens. And so it's always just so fun. You don't? I don't want to hang out. Oh, well, okay. Well, I did.

I didn't think you were coming, honestly. We all got there. We sat down and somebody said, yeah, Mojo's got to stop and get McDonald's or something. Then he'll be here And I'm like Oh he ain't coming

Oh you're talking about The after party I didn't know you guys Were going anywhere So everybody was talking About something And then nobody was Making up their mind So I said Oh I'm leaving I'm going home I got to my exit Off of 75 So I literally Get to the exit And Spike goes Hey we're going And I'm like

Pulling out the parking lot I'm literally So I called Luke up And I said Luke you know what Why don't you door dash it And I'm going to go back around I literally had to drive 25 minutes

Turn all the way around I would have let you Off the hook We were pulling out The parking lot And I said, did anyone text Mojo and tell him where we were going? So I text Mojo, and he's like, oh, crap, I just got on the highway.

Honestly, I'm not kidding you when I say this, too. I almost went and tried to crash the young kids party. First of all, by the way, you guys got to stop on your group text pictures and stuff that you guys were going nuts with this weekend. I'm going to sound like Megan here right now. But KP and Lydia were sending more group texts. Am I wrong on this one, guys, or am I right on this one? You're not wrong. I sent two videos of the spider in my bed

that I came home to.

For God's sakes.

You're not Hall of Fame party. I took home a centerpiece. They're just going to go in the garbage. Yeah. So why not recycle them and bring them home and enjoy them for a couple more days?

Actually, it was funny. Everybody was roasting me. Well, it's funny. They were roasting you.

Well, because sometimes you don't ask. This time Lydia's mom said to take them home. Sometimes you just take them home. I just know they are always going to get thrown away.

Well, the funny thing is I don't think people were roasting you so much for taking it because you're now known for that. That you like to take it because you've talked before about how you'll grab things and take it home. Just as, you know, even a joke. Like, staying in hotels, you know, when we've gone on, like, our boot camps trips and stuff like that. Randomly, Shannon's, like, got the Hilton logo in her house. But people were roasting you for wearing jeans to the party. And I have to be perfectly honest with you. I wore jeans, too, because I didn't know how dressy the party was. Me neither. And it was a pretty dressy party.

I was wearing jeans and, like, a sweater blazer. And then I showed up. And there were a lot of people wearing jeans, to be fair. But, like, then I saw the setup. And I saw Lydia. And I'm like, oh, my God. There was no dress code on the invitation. I felt so severely underdressed But you had a jacket I know But then you walked in And I was like Okay I'm safe But apparently I didn't go on Facebook To read comments I did on Instagram But apparently I was getting roasted For that too I'm like Mojo was wearing jeans

I actually almost showed up with my airplane attire. You guys have airplane attire? Oh, yes. So I was wearing like a pair of sweatpants. Workout stuff, yeah. I was wearing a pair of sweatpants and, you know, a sweatshirt and stuff like that. So I raced. So Luke and I brought golf clubs to Florida. Yeah. So we had to go to the – we have the dumbest airport ever. Every other airport, they pull out your golf clubs and put it on a conveyor belt. We built a brand-new, beautiful airport, and you have to go through a bulk area. And it takes forever to get – so it took like 45 minutes. minutes to get it so that's why i was as late as i was because then i had to get luke home drive him home drop him off then go change into my not so dressy outfit that i was wearing there out of that thing and then come all the way over to uh to go to troy i almost went to the wrong place too i put it in ways and i started driving because there was two lesages there's one uh in sterling heights yeah and then there's one in troy so it was fun we had a good time uh you can see the pictures that you know were posted and if you'd like to look at our 8,000 text messages from KP and Lydia back and forth I'm just giving you a little crap
