All right, it is Mojo in the morning. Lydia has some breaking news to tell us about her personal life. I don't know if you guys even heard about this until last Friday when the big news happened in the studio after the show was over with. But she's bringing it to the air right now. And what is that, Lydia?

My boyfriend officially moved to Michigan.

Wow.

So he lived in Arizona, for those who don't know. And last week, he decided that he was going to up and move all of his belongings and live in Michigan now and has all of his business here. And he has a ton of family here. So he's going to be staying here for quite some time.

Wait a second. So first off, is it weird for you to say my boyfriend?

Yeah. It's weird to hear it.

It is kind of weird.

How long have you guys officially been together? Only two weeks. No, no. Okay, that's right. That's when he asked you. How long have you guys been, like, talking?

Like, and this time around, it's probably been about a month. It was like a month and a half this time around. But if you include everything together, it's been, like, four months. Yeah. All in all, so. Yeah. Okay. Yeah.

Hold on a second. So, I'm looking at this right now because I got to Google this. So, the guy, and do we come up with a name for him again? I always like to. I mean, his name's Drew. But it's Deez Nuts Drew, isn't it?

That was his name in the beginning.

If you look at it, the guy was in Phoenix in a long-distance relationship with Lydia. That is 1,985 miles away, 29 hours by car drive. He picked up and moved across the country for this girl.

Very, very nice climate to whatever we have going on.

I don't even want to think about this because Lydia is like a sister daughter to me. But she must have magic there, huh?

Okay, so Lydia, did you guys talk about this or did he just say, hey, I really feel like this is going somewhere. I'm moving to you to see what happens.

So I wasn't the main factor in this. So he had some personal things going on and then he had been thinking about moving out. And then he made the jump to saying, well, what if I just move to Michigan instead? And then I guess I probably play a piece of that factor. For sure. I mean, I'm here. So and he's been spending every single day with me since he's been here with me.

Wait, this has got to be something that other listeners that have been in long distance relationships have to tell us. Is it good for him to move this fast?

It's been making me feel a little overwhelmed. I'm not going to lie. Like right when he told me that I had to like I had a breakdown. I'm not even going to lie. Like I had a full on meltdown. And I was like, I don't know if I can do this. And then when he did end up moving here last week, I was still feeling a little off. Why?

I do feel why because of that's a lot of pressure.

It's different because it's like we got into a relationship to me pretty fast. And then now we are in. this relationship you know and he lives here and now i feel like it's like oh do i have to get engaged like what's the move now like and i don't i don't want to do that i'm not ready for that and

again uh he's not chaldean because if he was chaldean you guys would probably already have

been married absolutely he is aiden hutchinson's twin he does he looks you're wondering what he looks like he looks exactly like aiden hutchinson do you see all the sales people going crazy

thinking aiden hutchinson was in the studio with us on friday they were trying to come in and take

photos it was so funny so do you have you guys had a discussion though about because you are busy you're a busy person you have friends you spend a lot of time with your family and i know if it were me i would feel pressure to spend a ton of time with him and that was part of it

yeah it was part of me like freaking out because i'm like i have so much going on like work church everything is like my priority and i have not put a guy in the mix of any of that in a a while in a serious way like this so that's when i was like oh i don't know if i can do this you

know what was wild was when uh lydia started talking about how she was interested in this guy and she went to arizona and everything listeners were worried that if they got into a relationship lydia would leave the show and move to arizona yeah so at least we got that that he's we're keeping you he's here and that she's not moving but will we get this the the quality time of lydia because she's now got this guy with her all the time is this guy taking time from lydia

you mean from you from our show without giving up too much detail and if i'm asking if i'm being too nosy just tell me but how where did he move like how close to your house is he he's an hour away oh okay okay that's not bad but he does the drive which i think is so nice she is he's a nice

guy by the way he's very i we like him she lydia uh for those that don't know the detroit area is a east sider so she lives on the east side and this guy ended up kind of moving like towards

ann arborish right or something he's around the northville area okay okay all right so let's talk

about this right now a long distance uh relationship that all of a sudden got way shorter do you guys think that this is a quick turnaround for him to move uh or would you move for love ryan hi how you doing hey i'm doing pretty good how are you fantastic ryan what's happening not much i was

just uh commented on the long distance and the move yeah did you do this yeah i did it when i in 2008 i had turned right after i turned 18 i packed up everything that i could and just jumped on a Greyhound and moved to Arkansas for a girl. Arkansas? Yeah.

And I'm assuming you're calling us from Michigan

right now. Yes, I live back in Michigan now. So, what

happened? How long did it take for it to not last that you ended up moving back?

We were together for about six years. We got married and everything and then it just ended up working out. Got divorced and then I just moved back.

Wow. Was it tough for you to move back from there or were you happy to move back?

I was happy to move back.

Yeah. Do you think that him moving as fast as he did, which it seems like you did, he should have given it a little bit more time? Or do you think that Deez Nuts, Drew, and Lydia will be okay?

I think they'll be okay. He's got family here, so.

Okay. That's good. You had no family there.

I didn't have any family down there, no.

Although you got kind of a little bit of a southern thing to you. Where are you from? Waterford?

No, actually, I grew up in Hamtramck.

Oh, okay. Wow, Hamtramck. I've never found a Hamtramck person that sounds with a little bit of that. You got a little bit of it when you were down in Arkansas.

I lived there for 10 years. I moved back in 2018, but yeah.

So what happened? Did you have this happen?

I did. So long story short, I was in Missouri for a little bit. I was previously married. And our marriage ended because I ended up finding someone there. And he ended up moving to Michigan for me after, oh, God, like a month maybe. So that's quick. Yeah. It was very quick, but that was five and a half, almost six years ago. We have a son, and everything is amazing. Like, I truly think I found my soulmate, and I think everything happens for a reason.

I say that Michigan women and Ohio women will pull men from anywhere, and case in point is you pulling your guy and Lydia pulling her guy, right?

Absolutely.

I can't believe it.

I think it'll work out for them wonderfully.

Yours was at least Missouri. This guy's leaving Arizona. I mean, I can't believe that. Wait till it's.

uh to the midwest from portland i did yes after how long i so we were together for a year before i moved here but within four months of me and him like actually being together we i had traveled here for three and a half weeks and visited him here and then vice versa he came around christmas time and then just right around christmas time is when i had decided to move here to be with him

What was it that made you decide? Because I'm wondering what Drew's thing was, like, so fast.

That's also what I wanted a little. For me, there was a lot of stuff that was happening family-wise and stuff like that. And then I just got to the point to where I was like, you know, I don't want to be separated from him any longer.

You were having family issues out there?

Yes.

Oh, okay. And you can, well, that's, I see, I think that's what ends up probably doing it is you realize, hey, the stability of things aren't the greatest. So I want to go and be with somebody that I care about and I'm missing an opportunity. Well, that's good. And it lasted. Everything worked for you guys.

Yep. And now we have three beautiful girls and that's going to be Lydia happier than ever.

dinner yesterday okay um it's been a little bit awkward because my dad is still trying to get used to that so we've been dealing with some stuff too and he got the cultural thing too

you know that's the the part that i think that's got to be even more interesting for you guys i I like that this guy has that much dedication into it. Have we done a background check on him?

We have not.

We do background checks on all these people.

I mean, we thought that, you know, Shannon's dated some kind of sketchy guys. We wonder about a guy that travels across the country. Do we know if this guy's ever been on America's Most Wanted?

As far as I know, he has not.

Yeah, I'm here. Listen, so I'm sure that this guy is amazing because I know Lydia would have settled for no bum. But at the same time, I'm low-key kind of pissed because I was pulling for her and Kev.

Kev, though, would appreciate, though, that you were pulling for him on this one. That's as exciting to Kev as if you root for him in the throwback throwdown on Fridays.
