I never get any privacy because I live with my parents, for those who don't know. But I was cooking dinner for myself and my mom. We've been building a relationship, and I was thinking, you know what? I'm going to make her dinner on Saturday. And so as I was cooking dinner, I was prepping all the ingredients, and my back was turned to the kitchen table. so my mom was sitting at the kitchen table and i thought nothing of it until i turned around and i

saw her looking through my phone oh really right there with you there oh yeah i was pretty upset

at her for that wait what was she looking for um so we've been talking about that guy who kind of ghosted me that i went to church with and after a conversation that i had with her she told me that she was looking for messages as to why him and I stopped talking and thought that looking through my phone was the way to find her answers.

So instead of just having you tell her everything that was going on and then making her own assumption, she was thinking that there was something that you either were leaving off or maybe didn't see as a flag.

Exactly. And I love your mom, but that's not the way to get somebody to open up and tell you information when you break that trust. Well, because now it's like we're rebuilding our relationship, but you just went through my phone. Does she go through your phone often? I hope not. But here's the thing. My passcode is her birthday.

That was my question. How did she get into it? So she knew your passcode.

She has been looking over my shoulder for a long time. Like that's been her thing is looking over my shoulder when I'm texting, when we're at dinner, even when we're out shopping. She likes to look at what I'm looking at or she'll make comments on it when I'm not even noticing that she's looking at my phone.

I do that with everybody, though, in all fairness. Not even just, yeah. Listen, if I see somebody doing some texting, I'm like, I see you guys over there doing stuff. I'm like, okay, hold on. KP, pull that camera up. I think it's time for you to get one of the screen protection.

that has the privacy. I got one in everything.

Do you remember when you were younger and this is for everybody because your parents would go through your room to snoop for stuff? Yes. Does that happen, Lydia? Because you still live at home? Does mom still, you think, go through your room and snoop?

For sure. I even have hid edibles in my dresser because I didn't want her finding them.

Does she ever pull out the, it's my house, my rules, or you live under my roof?

No, she doesn't ever throw that in my face because I live there because I don't do to her wanting me to.

So when you heard Lydia start off by talking, and so I was making dinner with my mom on Saturday. Did you know what was coming next?

So, okay, why did you just go through her phone and not just say, hey, can I see?

So in the last past few days, I've been noticing, like, when she's texting or she's talking to someone, And she's like smiling and she's just in this really beautiful smile. And then she'll text and she'll put the phone down. And I'm like, hmm, I wonder if. And then I don't know. I just I assume that it was this guy and that everything was going well. However, come to find out while I was I snooped, you know, things weren't going very well. So I had to find out. I had to know. I took advantage of the fact that I saw the phone on the table, and I know the code.

Now, while I condemn what you did, did you see anything she said about us? I'd like to know what's going on in Lydia's life. I'm totally against this, but I actually believe that the CIA should look at Lydia's phone and find out what she's doing.

By the way, she was smiling because me and Lydia were talking about The Bachelor this past weekend and everything that happened. You think a man is making her smile? I thought it was me.

But knowing Lydia's mom, like she's the nicest lady in the world, which doesn't give Lydia any grace from all of us that we're all sitting there going, yeah, we side with her mom. Although KP seemed like you were really against this because it must be that your mom goes through your stuff, huh?

Well, no, she hasn't as of late, but she did in high school. I actually had to break up with somebody because she looked through my phone.

He had sent me some messages about a party he was going to, and my mom thought he was quote-unquote irresponsible, so I had to break up with him that literal night. Like, I had to literally...

just end it and delete his number and it was super sad and i actually matched with that guy in hinge oh really later in life about a couple months ago yeah i want to know this is what i would like to

to sleep in there when i leave so that's their excuse i was just getting the dog and taking the dog out i'm telling you you don't think that your family's going through your stuff if you're living

under their roof right now katherine what's up hey yeah when i was in high school my mom just just nipped through the seat, and I knew she was doing it, and I got so tired of it. I put some weed up in my closet on like a little lip of the shelf in front, and she even found it there.

Because I can tell you this. Chelsea and I have gone through our boys' rooms, and when we would find all the weed pens and stuff, they would come home from wherever they were, and we'd be sitting on the couch pretending like we were actually smoking them. They'd be like, oh, look what we got here. Hold on. What do I got?

She literally had to get a step stool, climb up there, and almost climb into the top of the closet. So how she knew that space, I'll never know.

Isn't that funny? You put it up high because Mom's small. Little do you know, she's got like some kind of a ladder going on. You know what was awful, too, is when you had that.

and it was gone because they took it but you didn't want to go and say hey did you go through my room and find that because then you're calling yourself out yeah so you just both kind of deny that anything happened until one of them like yeah it's like i don't know where it came from um joe wants to say something to lydia uh and talk about what her mom did what what is it

joe what do you want to say i i don't agree with going through your adult child's phone I don't really think it even matters who pays for the phone bill. Lydia is a grown woman. My daughter is 20, and I would never.

So you, as a mom of a 20-year-old right now, if you worried about your daughter and something going on in your daughter's life, you wouldn't go through or try to investigate it a little bit more before you brought it up?

If I thought my daughter was, like, doing drugs or, like, hard drugs or, like, I don't know,

like maybe something sure if you thought it was something that was going to hurt them person that

i just don't know what her mom would even think she was doing well and i think that lydia's mom

wants the best for her i truly believe it but i think that when you break that trust that's the

hardest thing to come time sometimes get back and that's the thing too is like i try my best to foster like a open relationship with my kids so that they can come talk to me if they need help because there wasn't anything on their phone that they couldn't talk to me about if lydia's mom is

listening, just ask Mike, Kev, or myself to go through all that stuff. We'll find her phone. I gotcha.
