Mojo in the morning. Megan almost got into a car accident, and who she almost got in a car accident with probably would have gotten her even into more trouble than if she just hit a random car. What was it, Megan?

Well, it wasn't a car accident. I was almost hit by a car.

So you tell me who's in the wrong here, and please say that it's not me but I may or may not have been jaywalking and the answer is of course I was I was in downtown Toledo I was crossing the street and I was trying to get to a bar and I wasn't gonna walk to the intersection it was far down the block I wasn't gonna do it um and by far down the block I mean probably 30 feet away it was really close so I'm jaywalking And as I'm crossing the street, did I look both ways? No, of course I did not. But this car just comes like coming around the corner. And I realize, oh, my God, I'm about to be hit by a vehicle. And as my eyes are like growing, I see that it's a TBD car. So it's the Toledo police. And I'm thinking, oh, great, I'm definitely going to get a jaywalking ticket until I look up at the intersection and the lights. and that police officer was running a red light without his lights or his siren on. So he's running a red light. I'm jaywalking. We both lock eyes and go, oh my God, please don't hit me. And he's thinking, please don't hit her. And we're both thinking we're both in the wrong here. And he turned on his dome lights and gave me a dirty look. Sir, you just ran a red light. You're not allowed to look dirty at me. I'm just a lowly pedestrian. I have, I'm just, I was innocent. I'm just a human being. You're not allowed to hit me with your car. Am I in the wrong? Because I was technically jaywalking.

You're both in the wrong.

Right, right, right.

Yeah, but only one of you has a dome light on top of your car to get out of that.

And while you could have gotten hit, I feel like what he was doing was way worse. Yeah, but do you know a little part of me? He could have hit people. A little part of me was like, I could pay off my house. Megan, Nick. A little part of me was like, no more student loans.

You'd finally get the city of Toledo to call you back for that flooding basement.

Yeah, maybe I'd get my street finally redone. I don't know. Wade, if you want to call me.

I always wonder about this. Do you guys do this? Because if you're in a city like Toledo or Grand Rapids or downtown, even Royal Oak or whatever, if your store that you're going to is literally right there. But you've got to walk 500 feet or whatever it is. I don't know. I'm not good with feet. To go do a crosswalk, can't you just cross the street if there's nobody there to hit you?

If I'm not with the kids, I do. Oh, yeah. I do. It's illegal, but I do it.

But has anybody ever gotten a ticket for jaywalking? That's what I was just going to ask. Is it?

It is? Yes. They will write you a ticket. Come on. I got one in Chicago. Only in Birmingham do they do that. I got one in Chicago.

Chicago, with all the crime going on in Chicago, people getting murdered on a daily basis there by the tens of thousands a year, I don't know, maybe not that much.

Tell the officer that and see what that gets you.

I would think that those guys would, that would be like the last thing in the world that they would care about is a jaywalking situation.

I think they'd rather stop and give me a ticket than have to go on that call. Definitely be safer, right?

No, I didn't get a ticket jaywalking, but I saw somebody get hit less than a half ago, downtown Toledo. And the person actually was stuck on top of the roof of the car, and the car floored it. Yes. Wait, wait, where? Wait, what?

So the person got hit, and they were on a roof of a car. That's a hell of an accident.

Either that Or she was hit by one of those cars That was jaywalking Did she hit the person? A couple of texters here Say on college campuses Are the only places you get tickets for jaywalking Because the University of Police Has nothing else to do It's interesting because then the next couple texts afterwards is somebody that says, I got a jaywalking ticket when I went to Ferris. And then a couple other people here say, only in certain towns can you get tickets for that. Those are the same towns that actually do tickets for parking all the time. It is, by the way, crazy whenever you go to these towns where you park. And I have the app. Why doesn't that stupid app let me extend the app on my phone?

I figured out a trick to this.

Right? Add like their car to your app, like their license plate number. And then when it, just park their car there instead. Do you know what I mean? I'm saying that. What do you mean park their car? Like you can click which car is in this spot now that I'm paying for. click their car and pay for another hour or two hours or whatever you need. Really? They don't check the actual car? They might but that's what I have been doing forever and ever watching. Knock on wood, I'm going to get a ticket but because I think when they drive by they just want to see the green light and it's when they see the red light that they'll stop and get out of the car and check a ticket yet.
