Good morning, good morning. Hello, welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. So I am in Florida just for like two days. So we're going to go to Tiger's Spring Training. And I came down here, and look who I ran into. I ran into KP.

00:02:00 - 00:02:03 | Speaker 2:

Hey, what's going on? Good morning. Hi, guys.

00:02:03 - 00:02:16 | Speaker 6:

Our producer who has been down here at iHeart School. What do they call it? What do you call it when you go? You know how everybody has work where you go away and you kind of, like, try to learn stuff?

00:02:17 - 00:02:18 | Speaker 3:

Like Starbucks has barista school.

00:02:19 - 00:02:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, work training.

00:02:20 - 00:02:31 | Speaker 6:

So you've been working with the person who is one of our higher-ups within the company, and have you been taking notes? Have you been learning anything?

00:02:31 - 00:02:45 | Speaker 2:

So we had a couple meetings about digital stuff, and he taught me all about our cameras in our studio, and I'm so excited to come back. Literally, I have the jitters about coming back and getting it all set up. I'm nerding out on it a little bit.

00:02:45 - 00:02:50 | Speaker 6:

Any word that – can we get them x-ray vision so that people can see what color underwear we're all wearing?

00:02:50 - 00:02:55 | Speaker 2:

That is probably not good with HR, but I will ask him for you.

00:02:56 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 6:

So can I tell you that I flew out late last night. So he took a six-something flight, landed at 920, and so it was a stupid idea. I don't know why.

00:03:08 - 00:03:10 | Speaker 3:

I was surprised when I saw how late you left.

00:03:10 - 00:03:18 | Speaker 6:

It was – you know what I did at Spike? i did it because it was a hundred dollars cheaper yeah than to fly out at noon i'm just going

00:03:18 - 00:03:32 | Speaker 3:

through that right now planning like to visit my parents at easter and i really i'm like what am i doing i'm to save a hundred dollars i'm flying in at like five in the morning yeah i mean you justify it like well we get up for work we're early and and i'm like what am i doing on easter

00:03:32 - 00:03:44 | Speaker 6:

i'm gonna be falling asleep in church but it was such a great flight because a it's a late flight and everybody's drinking so it was like you know how the flight is guys when we go to the i heard

00:03:44 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 3:

festival in vegas yeah you're probably the only one flying to florida who's not going on vacation

00:03:48 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

well and and i'm also the only one in florida or flying to florida that was that had to wake up at 3 30 in the morning yeah you know so everybody's drinking everybody's partying mojo in the morning listeners going crazy i have i had more people tell me to say hi to every one of you guys it was crazy like you know oh my god and then I was going with um I'm with my our boss uh Tony and uh Tony Tony was literally like the last row of the plane so I waited outside I looked like that guy that was standing there trying to to have say hi to everybody like the greeter because I was right outside the gate like sitting there talking to everybody and um and so the craziest is when you come you know and you do the whole you know flying and and and all that stuff these people all are going on vacation getting away from the snow and the big thing that everybody kept telling me and i just heard shannon do a report just a second ago on channel 955 they are all like cannot believe how much snow that we're supposedly getting tomorrow and i don't even think that tomorrow snow is going to even be close to what we had last week right

00:05:00 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 1:

Am I right or am I right or wrong?

00:05:02 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 3:

No. Well, no, it's not going to be as much. Is that what you mean? Yeah, it's not going to be as much. I mean, four to eight inches.

00:05:08 - 00:05:17 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you should hear. There was one lady. I think her name was Dawn. She was from Livonia. We're getting 33 inches. No, no, no, no, no, no.

00:05:17 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 3:

I mean, the snow is going to start tonight in the Detroit area. We'll have maybe two inches on the ground by the morning commute tomorrow, and then we'll get another couple of inches through the afternoon.

00:05:24 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 1:

I wish that, honestly, I wish that most of the people that I heard talking about the know yesterday we're talking about the size of other things of man exactly I know exaggerate to that length with stuff so um but uh yeah it's gonna be a really busy time so came in uh you know today gonna go to the game today and tomorrow and then I'm flying to Chicago to meet up with Megan and um EJ our old producer Ellen and it's so it's gonna be kind of a a whirlwind Megan you got a busy one you're actually busy tonight too right i'm so busy this week it's not even funny

00:06:01 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 4:

you guys and as somebody who loves netflix and apps it's not been my week i kind of like this you're out of the house and you're doing things yeah but i don't like that i haven't really slept in four days and i don't feel like i have my life in order whatsoever because tonight i'm actually presenting an award at the american advertising awards which has taken place at the summit and I'm really excited, but I kind of realized a couple of things. A, I'm very tired. I have not slept in probably four days. Not to brag, but for like the last three days, I've been here until seven o'clock or later. I have not had a life. And I'm really worried because I actually, funny enough, even though I do this for a living, I hate public speaking. I get so nervous. I get so stressed out. there's a difference between sitting in a room alone talking to my friends and talking to strangers this to me is like a huge leap to being public speaking and the whole thing is apparently business casual I work on radio I have no idea what that actually means yeah I don't know what I'm doing and I think I'm going to curse and I'm very stressed out about that

00:07:11 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 2:

yeah because if it's at night you're tired you might have a drink and the next thing you know you're on the microphone forgetting who you're talking to

00:07:18 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 4:

Exactly, exactly. Wait, so what are you going to wear? I don't know. I don't know. Somebody said jeans, heels, and a blazer was acceptable, but I feel like jeans are not acceptable. For it to present? Yeah, because I don't-

00:07:30 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 3:

I wouldn't wear jeans if you're presenting.

00:07:31 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 4:

I don't own dress pants. Y'all know I don't own dress pants. So what am I going to wear?

00:07:36 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 1:

A pair of jeans with a jacket. It always looks cool when people-

00:07:40 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, like you did that to Lydia's graduation party.

00:07:42 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 3:

But she's presenting an award.

00:07:45 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 2:

I don't know, I feel like that's business casual. You're in radio.

00:07:47 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 4:

I feel like if you wear, like, some heeled booties or something with the jeans, then it's okay. Like, the shoes are what make it dressier. Your jewelry.

00:07:55 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 1:

I blame it on, I feel like people in radio and garbage truck drivers can get away with whatever they're wearing.

00:08:02 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 3:

That is very true.

00:08:03 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 4:

You know? That is very true. Am I still in yesterday's makeup? Maybe.

00:08:09 - 00:08:09 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:08:10 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Just layer it. Layer the new stuff on top. Some dry shampoo. You're good.

00:08:15 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 4:

Is there seven layers of hair, spray, and dry shampoo in my hair right now? Maybe.

00:08:20 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 1:

I'd love if any of our listeners ever went somewhere and they were either way underdressed or way overdressed. You'll have to call us up and tell us. But I found out some details yesterday, by the way, about the guy that Megan's going to be meeting this weekend. Oh, my God. How?

00:08:35 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 4:

Don't talk to Ellen. You're not allowed to talk to her. Stop. Why do you know everything?

00:08:39 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 1:

Well, so Ellen and I talked yesterday about this weekend because it sounds to me like she's making this like a big time party. Like there's like, we're going to this person's house at this time. We're going to this person's house at this time. And I'm going, can't we just stay at one of the houses? Oh, that's the best. It's a strolling party.

00:08:57 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's great because you got someone else doing all the work of lining up exactly how you're going to act stupid all day.

00:09:02 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I got an itinerary. Oh, my God.

00:09:04 - 00:09:40 | Speaker 1:

We have to meet at the river to see the river being dyed green at 8 a.m., you know? So she starts talking about this guy that, if you heard the other day, and if you haven't, you can go listen to the podcast. There's this guy that Megan is going to get set up with, and when she's talking about him, she's kind of giggling and laughing about this guy that he works with, and she describes him to me, and I go, it sounds like Megan. It was exactly what Megan said. He sounds like Megan with a penis. Well, I have one too.

00:09:40 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 4:

This is very large.

00:09:46 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

But honestly, and I started falling in love with this guy as she was describing it. And I said to her what I said on the radio to you. I said, oh my God, you love Megan. Why don't you date him? And she goes, oh no. she was like

00:10:00 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 5:

I can't do that I work with them and then she was like And the whole time that I would be looking at I'm getting romantic I'd be thinking of Megan Oh yeah okay

00:10:09 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 6:

Okay well thanks for calling me repulsive Ellie No

00:10:12 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 5:

No but that would be weird Like could you imagine you know You guys I mean if you dated somebody That looked or acted like one of the Members of the show and you were with Them trying to be romantic and All of a sudden you're like oh my god

00:10:27 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 2:

your friend while you're having you know doing that so i love her this is not a sight at her at

00:10:32 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 6:

all but spike dating a woman named megan really really is awkward knowing that you probably say her name which is also my name while doing it gives me the heebie-jeebies do you ever have to

00:10:50 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 5:

change the cadence in your tone spike at all when you're in the midst of love making knowing that that you said that name earlier in the day during the hours of 6 and 10.30?

00:11:01 - 00:11:12 | Speaker 2:

It still catches me all the time when I'm texting. I have to, like, triple-check how I spell it and which Megan I'm texting, you know? Like, I don't want that disaster happening where I send the wrong thing to the wrong person.

00:11:12 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 6:

I'm amazed I haven't gotten a sext. That is, to your credit. Don't even put that out there. You just put it into the universe. I kind of wanted to happen because I know that topic would be phenomenal.

00:11:23 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 2:

i have a bunch of heart emojis next to her name just to make sure that doesn't happen so i'm not who megan's are megan or you know oh you're megan i know next to our megan i have a middle finger emoji so there's no mistaking when it comes up which one i'm typing i told i told ellen i go

00:11:41 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 5:

you should not have told me all this stuff and megan shouldn't have either because i'm the whole time gonna sit there and be staring at him like he's got like a booger hanging out of his nose when I meet this guy.

00:11:51 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 2:

You're not going to meet him.

00:11:52 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to meet him. Why do you think I can't?

00:11:54 - 00:11:56 | Speaker 2:

It's on the social calendar for Saturday.

00:11:56 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 6:

Well, first of all, I'm trying to avoid Mojo in Chicago as much as possible. We've already scheduled up our time to see him.

00:12:03 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 2:

Good luck with that, because he's making it sound like we're the two best friends that anyone could have.

00:12:10 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 6:

So here's the thing. I'm making plans for him to hang out with his friend Fred, and then I'm just going to steal Chelsea. Oh, these guys.

00:12:19 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 5:

So here's the thing. So I don't fly in until I fly in very early. Can you believe this? I booked a 5.50 a.m. flight to leave Florida to go to Chicago. 5.50 a.m. I didn't even know they had flights at 5.50 a.m.

00:12:33 - 00:12:36 | Speaker 2:

Boy, you're going to be a lot of fun at those St. Patrick's Day parties. Oh, my God.

00:12:36 - 00:13:03 | Speaker 5:

And I found out that Chelsea is going out with the girls and doing the stuff the night before, I guess. So I'm like, okay, well, then I don't need to see them either. You know, then then then I'll just visit with my son. I'll visit with Jacob. So. All right. It's Mojo in the morning. So, Megan, your thing tonight that you're going to is is it an organization you want to shout out or anything like that?

00:13:03 - 00:13:32 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, the American Advertising Awards are done to support all the local advertising agencies here. So there's a ton of designers, producers, whatever it is, who are making commercials or online or print ads or whatever it is. And they just get to be celebrated. I feel like they do a lot of really great work and don't get any appreciation. Oh, that's cool. It'll be great. And to be fair, I've not really networked since COVID. So I'm excited to go back out and meet people my age in the industry.

00:13:33 - 00:13:36 | Speaker 5:

Tell Megan she looks cute tonight when you see her. That's all you got to do.

00:13:36 - 00:14:06 | Speaker 4:
