not picking up his wedding ring yeah so my um brother is going to be in a wedding for his best friend but his best friend moved from toledo up to michigan and over the past couple of months every few weeks they go up and they kind of help with a new project to get their life started after the wedding right so a couple of weeks ago they needed um to move in and like a week or two after that they put in a fence in the backyard so the guys are spending like a lot of time there on the weekends and a couple of weeks ago they were up there doing the fence and one of the guys came back to Toledo and he left his wedding ring at our buddy's house up in Michigan and my brother said you know what no problem I live like 20 minutes from him I'll just take it back home with me and I'll reach out to him and I'll get it back to him. That was on April 9th. It's been over a month. We've been calling and texting this guy and he just won't respond. And so his wedding ring has been sitting on my kitchen table for a month now and I don't know what to do. So how long would it take him to come and get it? 20 minutes. 20 minutes. At most.

At most. So wait, so is he married?

Yeah, he's married. So he is married. Yeah.

I'm surprised his wife hasn't driven over to get it for him.

And if you're thinking it's one of those like silicone bands, maybe he has other ones. Nope. It's his actual wedding ring. It's like metal. It has some sort of like fancy stone in it. It's a nice wedding ring that he just won't respond to us. And it's not like they don't get their friends. It's so weird.

Did he know or did she know where he was at the time of him losing that ring? Oh, I don't know. Because in that case, it would be like he doesn't want, like he said he was somewhere else. And if he goes and gets that ring from you guys, then he's now admitting that he was somewhere he probably wasn't supposed to be. I don't know that that's the case.

But why wouldn't you just text us and say, hey, I need to pick it up or, hey, can you drop it off here? And then delete the text.

Yeah, but also the other thing, too, is was he doing anything bad? He was helping out a friend, wasn't he?

Right. They were just installing a fence in the backyard.

Like, if they were out for a night of partying, then I get Mike's idea with this.

It's not my, well, first off, it's not my idea.

But you know what? No, no. Well, I know it's not your idea. But we always think, on this show, we always think of the scandal. Where's the scandal?

Well, what if, like, she wanted him to go to, like, a family thing? And he's like, no, I can't. I got this work thing I got to do. I can't go do that. And it's not even that serious, but to him, it is that serious because he skipped out on some important thing to her.

Or it could be that there are guys that just don't honestly wear their wedding rings on a regular and then they just don't think anything of it.

I have a guy friend who never. He never wears his. Only to special occasions. Yeah. Like if he and my girlfriend, his wife, are going to a wedding or something that they're dressing up, then he'll put it on. That's it.

What if he hated the ring and this is just his excuse to get a new one, right?

Again, we think of the scandal. I know.

We always lie.

Are we like that?

Can I tell you what's interesting about this is that you're talking about how this guy has not picked up the ring. I know guys that will have somebody drive them home from a night of partying like in Royal Oak. and they'll leave their car for like days and i'll be like wait you don't need your car and they're like well no i've just been getting rides from people and they'll instead of driving 45 minutes or 40 minutes like one guy particular i know lives in ann arbor went partying with a bunch of people in royal oak and this was a few years back left his car in a parking garage that parking lot there that they have came back and his bill for parking because it was days that his thing was just left there and they don't cap it well i don't know it doesn't sound like it it sounded like he had to pay like a daily rate on the whole deal because it ended up costing a bunch of money but he was just too lazy to go get it so there are just some people that are just like honestly lazy about doing it apple has a very good question to ask you megan what's that apple

i want to know why you took it off in the first place great question i don't know but i wouldn't be surprised they were like digging holes and putting in fencing posts and stuff it might have It would have been just, like, uncomfortable to wear with a shower.

I also wondered, like, is the guy okay? Like, is he in the hospital or jail? I don't know. Is there a way for me to look up? Well, a HIPAA exists. You can't really do that.

That's actually another really good point, but also, why do we think the worst? You never know these days.

Is there ever, like, a reason? You know, I know the people that do work with their hands, but is there ever a reason like where people will take off their wedding ring for a reason that they don't need to be taking it off for? Like there are some times where people will take off their wedding ring and they just like, I just don't want to wear it because I was going out to do this. And I'm like, oh, that just seems a little. And I'm not talking about manual labor or something like that. Like they're going out somewhere with a bunch of friends and they don't want to wear their wedding ring. Like there's sometimes where some female friends of ours will go out with their girls on a girls night out. and if they're going say to downtown Detroit or whatever to go they're like yeah I just don't want to wear my ring I just don't like you know I just don't want to have my ring on at that time and I think a lot of it is that they think for safety purposes they don't want to have it on but I think that in the back of that your mind you're like okay well you're going on a girl's

night out with a bunch of friends right are you trying to get some drinks I know but I never but

I never want to say anything like you know about it because I don't want them to say well no seriously you could not be safe like you know wearing your ring in certain places but um texters are texting in all with scandalous things we have really ruined you guys we have ruined what we think is a perfectly good human being that listens to this radio show with war of the roses and the other stuff that we do because everybody thinks that there is not a good reason why he's doing They all think that there's some kind of a little scandal.

Again, I'm really surprised that his wife didn't reach out to your brother, Megan, and say, I'll just come get it.

I don't know if they know each other. Oh, okay. And that was the big one. But you guys, this is me. My question then becomes, how do I use this to my advantage? Like, can I wear this ring around my neck and play it off like, I don't know, a lover lost at sea? and that I can use it to, like, how can I use this to benefit me at this point?

You know what it is? It's like when I have people over at my house and they leave their Yetis at my house. I love that they left Yetis. I now don't have to go out and buy one. So you now don't have to go out and buy a guy's wedding ring.

That's it.

Actually, your brother should wear it and see if people think that, you know, at work and everything like that he got married.

Oh, but then his girlfriend's going to be like, oh, you look really cozy wearing that. Let me tell you, the first time I saw my brother with this ring, he was wearing it and I went because he was gone for the weekend and I said is there something you need to tell me? Did something happen that I missed out on? And he was so confused. He's like no this is the Isha's ring.

I hope he gets caught. Well, you'll have to hear what happens, okay? Because that's all I got to say is you'll have to hear what happens, all right? All right. So listen tomorrow for that. A lot of people, by the way, I was shocked because I thought everybody thought that she was ridiculous for reading the diary. A lot of people in messages that were on social media were siding with her.

That was really split, yeah.
