It's Mojo in the Morning Show. Megan came into the studio bearing gifts this morning and these are the kind of gifts that we love. Edible gifts.

00:02:44 - 00:02:47 | Speaker 4:

Thank you. Can you tell everybody what I did?

00:02:47 - 00:02:52 | Speaker 7:

You baked like cookies that are almost too pretty to eat.

00:02:52 - 00:02:53 | Speaker 4:

Thank you.

00:02:53 - 00:02:57 | Speaker 7:

And I made you gluten-free cookies.

00:02:57 - 00:02:57 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:02:58 - 00:03:07 | Speaker 7:

KP and I are both gluten-free. We would soil our pants if we ate gluten, which actually might not be bad on the last day of being here.

00:03:07 - 00:03:10 | Speaker 4:

I know KP ate hers already. Did you try yours?

00:03:10 - 00:03:12 | Speaker 7:

I have not. I have it right here.

00:03:12 - 00:03:13 | Speaker 4:

Here's the thing.

00:03:13 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 7:

By the way, this is beautiful. It looks like a beautiful flower, like a fine.

00:03:18 - 00:03:22 | Speaker 4:

How did you get the flower shape on there? The piping tip.

00:03:22 - 00:03:25 | Speaker 7:

Oh, you're really out here using real utensils.

00:03:25 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 4:

Which is funny because the ones I made for Mojo and KP, because they're both gluten-free, I used the Pretty Tip and I did it first because I was trying to not cross-contaminate anything. So, like, I pretty much made all of their stuff right off the bat. Do you use just the tip? Yeah, always, just the tip. Okay. And a large bag. A large sack, you mean? Correct. And I love squeezing it in my hands. Oh, my God. Who am I today? I don't know.

00:03:48 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 7:

By the way, and he is Michael Scott. I didn't tell you. Unreal.

00:03:53 - 00:04:21 | Speaker 4:

When I get fired, know that it's 1,000% Kev's fault. But I got super lazy yesterday. So it's really funny because if you look at Mojo and KP's cookies, very cute. Me, I didn't want to wash the tip. And so they're just like a turd on top. Yes, that is a perfect description for the icing on our cookies. It's just... Well, okay. Thank you. Because these might be the most expensive cookies I've ever made in my entire life.

00:04:21 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 7:

Whoa.

00:04:22 - 00:04:28 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I don't mean to brag, but these cost roughly, I mean, over $250.

00:04:28 - 00:04:33 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God. What are these? Are these like Tiffany cookies or something? Because that looks like a plate.

00:04:33 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 4:

No, it's not that. It was I shattered a $25 bottle of vanilla extract as I was cleaning up last night. Thank God it was at the very end of the night because I literally was at the end of my rope. And as I turned around to throw something in the fridge, I just knocked it off of the countertop with my arm and it shattered. And there's like glass everywhere and it just reeks of not even vanilla.

00:05:00 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 3:

Because if you have ever worked with vanilla extract, you actually know that it reeks of alcohol. So, like, it just smells like I'm an alcoholic. And I looked down at my shoes, and I was wearing a pair of Uggs that are shoes that I was wearing as house slippers. So, they've never, like, been worn outside because I haven't waterproofed them yet. So, I was just wearing them as house slippers. And I got vanilla extract all over them and completely destroyed them. So, these cost me about to.

00:05:29 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 5:

So we better enjoy these cookies. Don't anybody not enjoy these cookies? I don't want to see that. By the way, I always hate when somebody does, is it offensive to cooks and chefs and bakers and stuff? If they offer you food, I always feel like you have to eat it. Like I would be, if I was on the Today Show, I'd be the size of what Al Roker used to look like when they brought food and did the cooking segments. Because I always feel like, and I said to Megan, I go, I'm going to save this. And she's like looking at me with his eyes like, I ruined my shoes Eat that god damn cookie I want you So I'm going to eat it right now

00:06:06 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 1:

C is for cookie That's good enough for me

00:06:10 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 5:

Let's eat it

00:06:10 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 1:

C is for cookie That's good enough for me C is for cookie That's good enough for me Cookie, cookie, cookie Starts with C What is this poisoning me?

00:06:23 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 3:

No, I'm not, I promise you

00:06:24 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 4:

What if it was edibles and she didn't tell you Oh, my God. Why didn't you do that? That would have been the most fun show ever. Oh, my God, man.

00:06:32 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 5:

Do it tomorrow. Welcome to the new school. I'm not going to lie. These are like sugary. The frosting is like deliciously cool. These are so good.

00:06:43 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 3:

It's the butter. And let me tell you, I've never made gluten-free cookies, so those might be hot garbage.

00:06:47 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 1:

Is that good?

00:06:48 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 3:

Not the way he's eating them, boy. I'm not going to lie.

00:06:51 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 1:

These are so good. My God.

00:06:56 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 3:

No, don't worry. The batch makes nine to ten cookies, and there's two sticks of butter in it. So you're going to clog those arteries. You're trying to kill me. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:07:06 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 5:

Two sticks of butter. Wow. Can I ask you a question? Can we do a good old-fashioned school bake sale? Remember when you were in school and they had a bake sale?

00:07:15 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 4:

What do you think I could sell them for? They still do that, and I literally go to the store and buy everything.

00:07:20 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 5:

You know what's funny, though?

00:07:21 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 4:

I'm like, nobody wants my stuff.

00:07:23 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 5:

I remember bake sale. Teresa Smith and Tracy Rozak Of course

00:07:27 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 4:

Always got my money

00:07:30 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 5:

Because pretty girls made pretty cookies Like Megan Look at this Pretty girls, pretty cookies If you were to sell those, how much would you charge? How much do you think your cookie is worth?

00:07:41 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 4:

Good cookies are expensive How much is your cookie worth, Megan? That's what I would say, four bucks Four dollars?

00:07:48 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 5:

Bro, I feel like you gotta charge at least five for that Mojo, how much would you pay for the cookie? Honestly, for Megan's cookie, it might be $2,000 like that J. Foster jeweler guy. I mean, I'd be like, I don't know. I don't know if I can afford that. Front row at TSO. Angela, what's up? Hi.

00:08:08 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 2:

Good morning.

00:08:09 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 5:

What's going on, Angela? We're enjoying it. This is a good cookie. Why aren't you guys eating your cookies? I'm straight. What?

00:08:14 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 3:

He refuses to eat them.

00:08:16 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 5:

Angela, Cav is being insulting to Megan. He will not eat her cookie.

00:08:21 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 2:

Well, I mean, I would eat her cookie in a heartbeat. No, I just wanted to say that I'm super jealous because I have to be gluten-free as well. And so I was watching her live last night, and she popped the first pan of gluten-free in the oven, and she forgot to smash them down. She realized it, but then she started freaking out. I said, it's fine. Just take some parchment paper, take your glass, take them out of the oven, push them down, and they'll be good. You were giving her advice on it?

00:08:50 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 5:

Really? That was nice of you. What do you do, Angela, that you know all this stuff?

00:08:55 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 2:

My mom and I own a restaurant, and then I just recently started a cupcake business. Wow. A restaurant. Shout it out.

00:09:02 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 4:

We own the lunch cafe in Berkeley. That place is so cute. I pass it all the time when I go to see my sister.

00:09:09 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so we've been there for almost 18 years, and then I started a cupcake business about a year ago, so yeah.

00:09:15 - 00:09:32 | Speaker 3:

Angela, I love it. You truly talked me off of a ledge yesterday. Thank you. I was so mad at myself that I made one batch of these gluten-frees. And the first, like, the big tray was the first one. And I halfway through looked at it and was like, well, those aren't going to cook properly. I saw the light bulb go off.

00:09:33 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 2:

I was like, yep, I've been there.

00:09:34 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 5:

How many people were on your TikTok when you were doing this?

00:09:39 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 3:

It fluctuates. It's funny. When I first start and I'm truly engaged and I was prepared, it felt like a cooking show. I had all my stuff measured out so I could really focus on talking to people. there's a good engagement on there there's a couple hundred people in there and then as soon as I got not frustrated but flustered I guess is the better word and I wasn't as fully engaged

00:10:00 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 1:

You look back up again and just saw the numbers drop off. Oh, really? Yep, that was me focusing.

00:10:04 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 3:

See, I would sit there. I would watch to see if you started throwing things. Like, I would have watched just to see them. You know what I mean? Like, when you spilled all the vanilla and stuff all over the place, I would have been like, oh, this is great. I know you thought about selling your feet at any time. You're really into baking lately. Have you thought about doing something baking-wise?

00:10:27 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 1:

I was really into baking before, hence the body transformation of the past year. These cookies are bad for you and very good. Can I ask you a question?

00:10:39 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 3:

I've seen this happen before. When people lose weight, they start cooking for others because they want others to eat, and it's their therapy when they're around food.

00:10:47 - 00:11:30 | Speaker 1:

Truly, I have always been like a baker, not a cook. Cooking was recently. Cooking was me trying to get healthy. I had to learn how to cook. But baking was always something that just was fun for me. And I stopped for a long time because I have zero self-control. And I know that about myself. It's funny. You guys are like, oh, you keep bringing these in all the time. I used to just keep them at home for me, my dad, and my brother. And now it's fun to still have that process and bring joy to other people. I literally walked around downtown the other day and I was like at my parking garage. I was like, take some cookies. And I ran over to this store that always helps me out. I was like, do you guys want some cookies? It feels a little weird, but once people try it once and realize I haven't poisoned them.

00:11:30 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 3:

Sometimes you need to be around food to kind of get self-control, but you do it to make it for others. And then I always felt like that was one of those things where my sisters would go on diets and stuff. Yeah. I always felt like they would cook for me more. That might be why I was heavy my whole life. And they would not eat it.

00:11:49 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 1:

You know why I do it on live? To prove that I'm clean.

00:11:52 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 3:

Oh.

00:11:52 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 1:

Because I think some people are like, I don't want to eat something from somebody's house. And I'm like, go watch. If people are watching, please text in how many times I wash my hands, wash the dishes, wash the counter. Like, I get people's trepidation.

00:12:05 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 3:

Let me ask Sarah. Sarah, you were watching. Are you sure that she didn't put anything in that is gluten-free cookies?

00:12:12 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 2:

Positive. She used paper towels on everything. I commented on, like, girl, that is a lot of freaking paper towels. You're spending a lot of money on even that portion of it. But I was watching Megan on Live for like two and a half hours. So I feel like I deserve this recipe. They look good.

00:12:27 - 00:12:31 | Speaker 3:

Okay. We're going to be selling it. It's going to be at William Sonoma.

00:12:32 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 1:

This is my get-me-laid recipe, though.

00:12:35 - 00:12:49 | Speaker 3:

It's going to be at William Sonoma and with one of those, what are those things? Those KitchenAid cooker mixer things? Everybody goes crazy. Sarah, don't you think it's rude that Kev won't eat one of these things? That Kevin's been like, I'm not going to eat your cookie. I don't want to eat your cookie.

00:12:49 - 00:12:54 | Speaker 2:

It is rude. Yeah, it's rude. You missed what Megan just said. You spent so much time on that.

00:12:54 - 00:12:58 | Speaker 3:

Megan, what did you just say? This is your what? Get me laid.

00:12:59 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 1:

Oh, these are my get me laid cookies.

00:13:01 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 3:

So what is it? You're afraid? Why are you not eating? I just didn't want you to miss that. Well, no. These are get her laid cookies. I'm going to tell you this. These are delicious cookies. Any single guys? You got to drop them off at the firehouse. That's what you got to do. That's a good idea. you go with me i'll go with you hey what's up jeremy hi hey how you guys doing good i i almost want another one but i'm afraid that that's two sticks of butter i just put in my system what's

00:13:31 - 00:14:16 | Speaker 4:

going on oh no i just wanted to comment i listen to you guys every morning as i'm leaving work first time i got through because there's no contest going on all right but i'm actually calling from uh finley ohio okay what's the word what's going on i wanted to comment uh kudos to uh making the gluten-free cookies i uh just realized that i am not able to eat gluten about a year ago kept throwing up didn't know why and come to find out i have a gluten allergy so my fiance is an awesome baker she is the best she makes everything from scratch um but i wanted to comment on the $25 bottle of vanilla extract that she used?

00:14:16 - 00:14:16 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:14:18 - 00:14:24 | Speaker 4:

Now, does she buy that from the store? Because in the long run, you can make your own very easily.

00:14:25 - 00:14:28 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Jesus. This is where the show's gone. I did not think that this is where you were going

00:14:28 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 1:

with that.

00:14:29 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 3:

Also, I feel very judged.

00:14:32 - 00:14:37 | Speaker 1:

Okay, sir, I made cookies last night at like 10 o'clock. Can I just use the store-bought one time, please?

00:14:38 - 00:14:56 | Speaker 4:

No, no, no, no. No, you can by all means. I figured I'd give you a helpful hint because, like I said, my fiancee is an awesome baker. She went to culinary school and everything. She is phenomenal. But save yourself some money in the future, and the cookies taste a lot better. All right. Thank you. I appreciate it.

00:14:56 - 00:15:33 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. We've turned into the cooking segment show.
