available at all merchants. It's Mojo in the morning show. Megan met someone over the weekend and I've been wanting to hear this story and I almost called you to ask you about it but I figured I need to be surprised on the radio and give you the natural reaction. But Megan met her dad's girlfriend.

00:03:00 - 00:03:03 | Speaker 3:

Wait, no, no. Introduce her properly. My new mom.

00:03:04 - 00:03:06 | Speaker 9:

Your future mom. Stepmama.

00:03:07 - 00:04:36 | Speaker 3:

I'm a my new mom. I honestly couldn't believe that I finally got to meet her. Because a little part of me thought, you know, my dad could be making her up. for a long time we didn't know her name we didn't know anything about her he just was going out a lot i thought maybe he just i've been spending a lot of time with my dad recently maybe he just needed some distance made up a girlfriend so that i wasn't hanging out with him all the time turns out she's real and my dad totally pulled out of his league is crazy really this girl is normal at At first, when we were sitting down, I was like, there's got to be something wrong with her. No, she's so normal. And I really like her. I was so stressed out about this, though, because I realized when I was little, I held all the power. When your dad brings somebody home and you're young, you are like, you better impress me because if this doesn't work out, I can end everything. and how the turns have tabled because the entire time was like dripping in sweat like if you ruin your dad's new relationship because you are weird you're never going to hear the end of this yada yada yada but it was so freaking great she's so nice she's so cool she's so funny and i could not believe my dad has bagged this chick i can't believe it your dad his guy came he's look at

00:04:36 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 9:

the guy every time he's on the air with us women fawn over him it's gross i hate it and here's the

00:04:42 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 3:

other thing i learned my dad does not speak highly of me to the the woman that he dates what why that michael was uncalled for absolutely uncalled for um why because at some point she brought up your dad did mention that you were the hymie Thank you. one which oh let me tell you wow yeah yes that is the correct response shannon a shocked wow not mike's irrational you deserve that behavior i didn't know it was gonna go that direction he meant it in the way that okay so fine fact when i'm having any sort of issue or let's say meltdown the first person i call is my dad and he has to walk me through it because i am a grown woman who still needs her dad to get through her problems um but apparently my brother is low maintenance because he doesn't need anything from my dad but i i need my dad when i'm stressed out so i am in fact the problem i thought it was the favorite i don't think i am the way she described

00:05:44 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 1:

me i'm just i think a burden is she it was she was kidding though right she was just like i don't I don't think she was. Oh, boy. Well, okay.

00:05:56 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 2:

I felt a little insulted. I was like, oh, my dad has not told you anything nice about me. Thank you so much.

00:06:03 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 1:

What was the look on your dad's face like when he introduced you to your mystery mom? And he said, Megan, and was Sean there at the same time, too?

00:06:13 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 4:

Sean was not there. No, so it's just you. But Sean's already met her, right? No, Sean has not met her. Okay.

00:06:18 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 1:

So he says, Megan, I'd like you to meet, for some reason, I know we can't say her name, but I'd like to give her a name that's like...

00:06:27 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 4:

Mrs. Mick?

00:06:28 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 1:

Sexy, young. For some reason, I'm picturing her to be like 27 years old or something like that. You haven't seen a picture of her?

00:06:36 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 4:

Mama Mick. I've seen a picture of her.

00:06:38 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 1:

I did. I saw a picture of her. She's adorable. Very pretty.

00:06:40 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 4:

She's so pretty. Yeah.

00:06:42 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so Mama Mick. So when you... By the way, I hope we don't scare her away by saying that.

00:06:47 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 4:

I know we might.

00:06:48 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 1:

Scott makes a beautiful man. We love him, so don't run away. He's good. Don't do that. He's a good man. But so what was the look on his face like? Was he scared to introduce you to her?

00:06:59 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, he looked at me like, don't you dare. He was kind of like short with me all evening. He was like, don't say anything embarrassing. Don't do this. Don't do that.

00:07:11 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 1:

Don't ruin this for me.

00:07:12 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but then her and I started to gang up on him and make fun of him. And then I was like, oh, no, we're going to get along too well.

00:07:19 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 1:

I remember meeting my dad's, it turned out to be his future wife, but his girlfriend. But I was so much younger. I was, you know, 17 years old or 16 years old at the time. And I remember that it was so awkward to know that my dad could get some ass. Like, I don't know what it was. Like, I was thinking to myself how weird. No, it was weird. It was weird thinking, my God, do you think that they've ever, like, I kept thinking that. And I remember I was nervous. I was scared. so as an adult as a grown adult I would have I wish it was different because I wish I was a little bit more like I was kind of I didn't give her enough time I think when I first met her like I was kind of like still in that I feel like I'm you know going to be pushed out which I eventually was yeah but this is therapy by the way for me but I but I will say this that I feel like if I was a grown adult I would have handled it better and maybe they would have handled it better so I think that's good that you were cool with her you know and everything was good did you what kind of questions did you ask her because obviously remember you're your dad's protector yeah

00:08:21 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 3:

I kind of want him off my back he's a lot to handle so it would be nice if somebody would take on some of the responsibilities of spending time with him really was it like when you go out

00:08:33 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 1:

with a single friend and you're in you're meeting people that they're dating do you like say by the Wait, I just want you to know he's a really good person. Like, do you just sit there and give, like, all the positives?

00:08:42 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 3:

No, we just started mocking him for wearing Crocs in the first five minutes, and then immediately we're like, ah, all right, same page. Did you do the Megan Mick deep dive where you go stalk him on Facebook and Instagram?

00:08:53 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 4:

I would never do that. Of course she could. Come on. She could write a book about this woman.

00:08:58 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 1:

She's got one of those rooms with the thumbtack and the string.

00:09:03 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 3:

Like you see on, like, Dateline. i would have never have disrespected her that way and would never yeah she actually brought that out the first time we met she was like did you deep dive me because i heard you do that to people i was like i wouldn't absolutely never does she listen to the show yes like is she like a list casual listener or does she listen listen apparently the first time she met my dad she

00:09:28 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 4:

was like are you are you megan's dad oh my gosh did she like take issue with anything that you or we have talked about in the air did that come up not yet but that i is a new stressor i did not

00:09:43 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 3:

really think about so thank you for that a little part of me was glad though and not glad a little part of me was like well if she's already heard all of my worst moments and she's still here

00:09:56 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

That's something. Are you going to have her come with your dad to the daddy?

00:10:00 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 5:

daughter dance no that would be a daddy girl three's a crowd it would be terrible to have okay she's very new could you imagine bringing her to something announcing to her that she's the girlfriend and then people just talking to her asking questions about the that would be

00:10:17 - 00:10:28 | Speaker 3:

overwhelming you know what though that would be fun a lot of fun by the way we'd make it a we'd make it a by the way coming up after nine o'clock we got uh mama mick coming up on stage we'll

00:10:28 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 5:

scare her away we do not want that sophie what's up hey guys how's it going good megan

00:10:36 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 3:

met her dad's boyfriend or her dad's her dad all of a sudden became gay in one second her dad's

00:10:43 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 4:

girlfriend yeah so i was totally a lot in common with this because my parents got divorced when i was in high school and suddenly like all of my school events became dates for my dad so he would just, like, start bringing random women he would meet on dating apps to, like, my choir concerts and events like that. It was super awkward. And when he would start dating, like, long-term, it felt very weird because then I was, like, an adult. But it was, like, future stepmom and stuff like that. So it was really weird.

00:11:17 - 00:11:19 | Speaker 3:

That is weird that your dad would do that. How old were you at the time?

00:11:21 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 4:

I was, like, 16, 17. So it was very awkward.

00:11:25 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's not cool.

00:11:27 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but now I have, like, a very similar relationship that Megan has with her dad. Like, I call him for everything to the point he's like, what would you do if I wasn't there? And I was like, I would still call you.

00:11:38 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 3:

Megan, if this is, you know, like, a relationship that your dad stays in forever, you know, this is, like, this is it.

00:11:48 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 5:

You think so?

00:11:49 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 3:

Well, no, I'm saying it. I don't know. I've never met her.

00:11:51 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 5:

Got it, got it, got it.

00:11:52 - 00:11:57 | Speaker 3:

I would because I love Scott Mick. Like, honestly, if I was with Scott Mick, I'd be with him forever.

00:11:57 - 00:11:57 | Speaker 5:

Happy Pride, buddy.

00:11:57 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 3:

Mama Mick, I just want to let you know that. But could you see yourself becoming, like, good friends with this woman?

00:12:03 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I think so.

00:12:05 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 3:

Like, where you could call her and ask for advice? And this, I mean, I know that you don't.

00:12:09 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 5:

Well, no, that would scare anybody away. That would be terrible.

00:12:11 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 3:

Like, not necessarily are you looking for a mom, but you haven't had a mother figure in your life.

00:12:19 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 5:

Hey, now. Yes, I do.

00:12:20 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 3:

Well, you had your aunt, right?

00:12:21 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 5:

My aunt, Kathy. I understand.

00:12:23 - 00:12:25 | Speaker 3:

But, I mean, this would be kind of cool, somebody that.

00:12:25 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 5:

I mean, this would be a stepmom.

00:12:27 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Does she have kids already?

00:12:29 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 5:

She does.

00:12:30 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 3:

How old are they?

00:12:32 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 5:

They're my age. She has two kids my age.

00:12:35 - 00:12:36 | Speaker 3:

Do you think they'll like you or hate you?

00:12:37 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 5:

I'm actually way more scared about that. Way more scared. Are there plans for all of you guys to hang out? Not yet. There's still a new state. I don't want to rush anything.

00:12:47 - 00:12:48 | Speaker 3:

Is she coming on the cruise?

00:12:49 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 5:

No, I don't think so.

00:12:51 - 00:12:51 | Speaker 3:

No?

00:12:51 - 00:13:08 | Speaker 5:

I don't think so. That's also a lot. we've talked that's a big family that's a lot that's a big ask yeah there's a lot of people going i could tell you know what i'm saying like could you go on a family vacation with somebody you just started dating pretty new into the relationship with like 20 to 25 people

00:13:08 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 3:

you're paid for you're yeah your family no but i could actually uh my mike um brings up an interesting thing that uh that you know i wonder uh i wonder if your dad uh is going to be spending all of your inheritance on this lady probably that's the saddest part about all this but the

00:13:35 - 00:14:02 | Speaker 5:

good part is i also feel like she's gonna push him to make rash decisions with his money which might be fun but yeah that's that's the the biggest downfall is that my inheritance is probably it's out the window probably gone you guys i'm gonna have to i'm gonna have to work for the rest of my life that's good for all of us i really wanted to retire at like when do you

00:14:02 - 00:14:30 | Speaker 3:

think you kick the bucket yeah by the way for those that don't know this um scott mick is the heir to the crocs uh fortune people are gonna believe you yeah that's why he wears them so often so um all right well that's cool that's that's awesome we look forward to meeting her and uh getting a chance to uh you know to get to know her and if she is listening right now megan is not what she's like on the radio she's worse way worse tyler reddick here from 23 11
