morning i didn't notice this but uh one of my uh favorite places uh and megan you're one of your favorite places uh they have changed their dress code rules but you you uh informed me today that uh you would like to do a megan minute megan would like to do a megan minute megan would like to do a megan minute about starbucks hold on let me pull up my notes then so that starbucks has changed their um the uh the dress code policy was there a dress code

I honestly didn't know Everybody wears the green apron, that's it So there really wasn't before

Maybe that might be the problem But maybe there are people wearing some crazy stuff

I did see a guy one time He looked like he was in his pajamas

No you did not I think they still had jeans and khakis as a rule But anyways this new policy of can i see what that time no shoot i can't see what my time is left okay this new policy is so stupid um why does my barista need to wear a long sleeve black shirt in order for me to know that the person behind the counter in a green apron works there by the way i only trusted the girls and the gays in the face with the good fashion to make my coffee like if you like how am i supposed to know who's going to actually make the good coffee or pay attention to the fact that I cannot have dairy. I need oat milk. And I feel like the girls with good fashion are the only ones paying attention to what milk they use. So they have to wear all black? Oh, black long-sleeved shirt. And they provided one shirt to their employees. So now they all have to go out and buy clothes to go to work.

All right, so there are a lot of businesses that do have dress codes. Hence, Target with the khaki reds. And then go to Apple Store. They got the Apple shirt, usually with whatever kind of pants that you're wearing.

Have you ever gone to Target and seen somebody's red and you're like, that's not even really red? That's not Target red. You're colorblind or your red was dirty

and you pulled that out, but okay. I've gone to a Walmart and every time I see that blue vest, I go, well, that's an employee.

There you go, though, Walmart is your example. You got to be careful of that because the people that walk into Walmart honestly don't want to look really underdressed. What do you mean?

Don't make fun of Walmart.

You don't want the Walmart employees dressing nice because the people that walk in there in their pajamas literally or bathing suits you ever see people of walmart the people that walk

into walmart their clothes oh my god we're not talking about the shoppers we're talking about the employees i just think that there are some jobs that should not have a dress code like you don't get paid enough to have a dress code working at starbucks wow well yeah but period i just don't

think it's necessary for same like i wonder what the reasoning is you're behind the counter i know

you work there probably just uniformity i know i think honestly you know what i think it is i think it's somebody wore something they shouldn't have worn that's what i think it is i really do i think that it's probably somebody always ruins it for others and that's why they have to have these rules now with that said i'm not gonna lie to you guys that i'm the type of person that would rather have a dress code i went to catholic school growing up and it was nice not to have to worry

about what i had to wear that day yeah i liked it i went to catholic schools too i did like having a uniform, but could you imagine wearing a uniform here? Yes. You would hate it. You won't wear anything with our logos on it.

He wears a damn uniform every day, essentially. Black shirt, jeans. He won't wear anything with our logos. Okay, yesterday you did wear red blue. But think about

this, and this is the thing, Megan, you're going on.

off into the the real world uh and you're going to be working a job i don't know what you'll be doing but what do you what will you do if they say that they have uniforms would you not accept a job there no so you would you you're going to go somewhere that does not have uniforms right

what if you have to dress up for this new job you're kidding i won't take it

what if it's the only job that you can have uh um okay i my backup plan has always been to be a lot lizard you guys are thinking like i'm very desperate for like a good job and i'm okay with

being a prostitute or a stripper what what if they have a dress code on the lot that we don't know about that we haven't checked it tia what's going on what do you think about this starbucks

uh megan minute her i feel like uh they should have a dress code because they kind of aim for like a higher establishment at starbucks so wearing all black i feel like it's they feel

like it's more classy in a way when you i get that but i also like when i see starbucks baristas or when i think of starbucks baristas i also think of people who are um like just very individual like they there are creative very creative i don't i don't think of everybody looking the same i don't

yeah so i worked there back in like 2019 and it was very like hipster button up pants dark pants okay um i hated trying to find stuff to wear because i was like 19 i was like i do not want to wear like a like a button up with tacky long pants interesting so they always had some kind of

a policy now it's just black is the policy they made it more lax and in the next couple of weeks they're rolling it to be more strict again yeah i i mean all of all of us loved when we had like

the promotional shirts like i'm actually wearing my nitro cold brew shirt right now like the t-shirts those were like so prime but like the standard uniform where it was just like look like a hipster casual coffee bar it just it was just hard to work with listen i want to say this to you i don't care

going on oh i worked back at starbucks um um from about 2009 to 2013 and we did have a pretty strict dress code we had to wear black pants and either black or white shirts and they didn't give us anything so um when they i was a little jealous when they changed the dress code to like jeans

and almost whatever you wanted that's how i feel about red robin because when i worked there they had a super super strict like a higher end dress code than you would expect and now when i go in there and they have like jeans on i'm like you guys don't know we used to have polos and have to wear belts and all like it was crazy you paved the way i uh i wondered if uh this start

stopped during COVID, because a lot of times during COVID, everybody's kind of changed everything. Kay, what's up?

Hey, yeah, I actually applied to work at Starbucks, and they literally told me I could not have my nails painted in any way, shape, or form to work while working there.
