Simply Southern Seafood. Nothing's better. Megan did the unthinkable last night.

00:01:02 - 00:01:04 | Speaker 7:

Don't phrase it. You set me up for failure.

00:01:04 - 00:01:17 | Speaker 9:

What Megan did last night might be the rudest and crudest thing that you could possibly ever do. If you're somebody in the service industry, listen up. Although I think we're doing this at a time that service industry people might be fast asleep. But go ahead. What did you do?

00:01:17 - 00:02:33 | Speaker 6:

So I was on my way home last night, and it was that awkward time of night where everything starts closing, but I haven't eaten all day. So I'm, like, very, very hungry, and I'm trying to figure out something to eat. other than fast food and I was trying to order on apps like on my way home so I could just swing by and pick it up and every time I would open an app it was like this location is no longer accepting online orders because it was too close to their closing time where they wouldn't accept any orders and I did that at so many locations and was thinking well they close in 10 minutes By the time I get there, they'll still be open for five minutes. And I pulled into a restaurant five minutes before they closed. Now, it was not a sit-down restaurant, all right? I want to make it very clear. I worked in the food service industry, and we had people that would walk in two minutes before door lock, and you have to give them full dinner service. If they are in the doors before close, they get full dinner service no matter how long it takes. This was a, I ordered at the counter. I picked it up, and I left the restaurant. A carryout place. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I still got there five minutes before they closed, and I felt like the biggest a-hole. But I was so hungry, and everything was closing. Yeah.

00:02:33 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 5:

My favorite in those working at a restaurant like that, you'd always have those people come in last minute, and they would go, what time do you close? And you'd be like, five minutes from now. And they would go, oh, okay, cool, cool, but we still have time. And you'd be like, ooh. You'd want to spit in their food. You don't, but you want to.

00:02:48 - 00:03:10 | Speaker 7:

Well, it's not even that. I always get really, and Megan, I've been in that situation so many times, but I always feel like they're like scraping the bottle of the bean container for your food. Do you know what I mean? It's such a risky move to even eat food when it's five minutes to close because they've probably already cleaned almost everything up.

00:03:10 - 00:03:13 | Speaker 6:

Probably. And they close at nine. I walked in the doors at 8.55.

00:03:14 - 00:03:14 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

00:03:14 - 00:03:23 | Speaker 6:

If I waited until I got home because I was still a half hour from my apartment, I still had to cook rice, which was going to take 40 minutes and cook chicken. I would have eaten at 10-15 last night.

00:03:23 - 00:03:24 | Speaker 9:

You'd rather eat the bottom of the bowl.

00:03:24 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. I need to get you the minute rice and the cups.

00:03:28 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 9:

We talked about this. She doesn't like it for some reason. I don't know why.

00:03:31 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 7:

It tastes the damn same. No, it's the lice. It does.

00:03:34 - 00:04:17 | Speaker 9:

By the way, I will say this. I will say that Taco Bell last minute before closing or Taco Bell middle of the day tastes the same exact. I don't know why. It's true. It's always good. Well, no. Well, not always. But you're right. it does they have a good taste but not a i it for some reason i think that they have uh they they have some kind of secret ingredient that they must have minute burritos or something like that maybe they have the same kind of thing that minute rice has but um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is megan a butthole now can i ask you am i the a-hole right now here yeah i'm sorry uh look at who's filling in for kev here today introduce yourself to everybody hey i'm zach i do the audio what's

00:04:17 - 00:04:28 | Speaker 8:

So was this like a sandwich shop or was it like, did you order breakfast?

00:04:28 - 00:04:29 | Speaker 6:

It was a sandwich shop.

00:04:29 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 8:

Okay. So I, you are less of an a-hole in my book, but you are, sandwiches are easy, like easy to make, easy to get out the door. Yeah. When is it bread and cold cuts, right? Exactly.

00:04:41 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 5:

To make it at home.

00:04:43 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 7:

I didn't have the ingredients at home. Unless it's Jersey Mike's, because they are the best, and they cut all of their meat as you order it.

00:04:50 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 9:

Oh, my God, that's true. And they clean that little, that. They sure do. Have you ever gone into a Jersey Mike's and asked for a gluten-free sandwich? They have to clean that whole thing. It's legit. They look at you like.

00:05:00 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 2:

they want to slice you in that machine but they do it for you danny devito is back there ready to kitchen is in your kneecaps um you i believe that you're right though with the sandwich thing but she could have just gone to meyer or kroger or wherever and just picked up in the sandwich aisle that would have been the same amount of time that she could have got it like at the store i don't know at the restaurant so tell that to the guy working behind the counter what's up noah how you doing hey good morning guys good morning noah it's am i the a-hole for megan yeah what's up

00:05:33 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 3:

yeah i'm on my way to school thank you guys for doing everything you do and this early in the

00:05:38 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 2:

morning oh we serve you noah go ahead by the way if you come if you call us up at 10 29 we will

00:05:44 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 3:

hang up on you go ahead what's up oh geez um so when i was in high school i'm senior in college now but when i was in high school i worked at wendy's right and there would be customers who would come in at like two minutes before we close and they would get their food and then they would order like this baconator or whatever you know the good stuff and then they'd sit in the dining room for a good hour after we close and we can't kick them out because they're customers and so

00:06:14 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 2:

there was no like a limit by the way i i just love how you how your inflection gets up when you get angry you're like an hour no you know you're very descriptive i love you buddy what are you majoring in um so i'm a teacher oh awesome man thank you good for you buddy we need good teachers

00:06:35 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 6:

especially male teachers we don't have enough male teachers i who needs teachers she says when she studied education but she's bad that you called her out uh megan wants more sandwich makers

00:06:46 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 2:

That's what she wants What's up, Amy? Hi

00:06:50 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 5:

Hi, good morning, guys. How are you?

00:06:52 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 2:

Good. What's going on?

00:06:53 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 5:

Meg, I'm usually a huge fan for you But, girl, you are dirty for this Ooh, okay

00:06:59 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 3:

She threw out the Meg

00:07:00 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 5:

I know Ooh, she hates Meg In retail, too

00:07:03 - 00:07:04 | Speaker 3:

Yeah

00:07:04 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 5:

I would have my registers counted down One of our gates closed And it never failed Somebody came in three minutes before we closed Oh, I know exactly what I want Exactly what I want and they were always the people that paid cash. It used to irritate the living crap out of me.

00:07:22 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 6:

Okay, Amy, can I defend myself in this situation?

00:07:26 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 2:

No, she's not going to go. Sorry, we're closed. Yeah, what are you going to say?

00:07:32 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 6:

Two things. I was out the door before close. I was, like, physically back in my car one minute before closing time.

00:07:40 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 2:

That's because they were pushing you out the door.

00:07:41 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 6:

Absolutely, it was a win for everybody. I got my food, and they got me out of there. number two if that's the case like what's the cutoff time then to go get food somewhere

00:07:49 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 2:

you know what as long as the sign says open if they didn't if they want to shut the sign off then i'm like all right i won't do that maybe they got somewhere to go but i i think maybe people would probably say 30 minutes prior but you ever go on your door dash app and the door dash app says or taking orders until it's always 30 minutes before they even close up yeah what's

00:08:09 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 4:

up darren hi okay look being honest megan i'm 100 on your side thank you so look a restaurant is going to take the money regardless right yeah because at the end of the day the manager is always going to say the customer is right yeah i don't see the issue with it because i will go in a restaurant two minutes before it's closed and expected full service well okay and i leave

00:08:34 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 2:

a good tip yeah now i don't think you should go to a sit-down restaurant that soon before oh not sit down not yeah sit down is a bit much by the way my buddies in the car business always say that the one thing that drives them crazy is when people come in right before close of a car dealership and they say that that's a tactic by a specific type of buyers that are trying to just get you to give them a good price to get the hell out that that will be the thing yeah we're all

00:09:02 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 5:

like, ah. And it doesn't work,

00:09:04 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 2:

they say, so. Alright, Megan is the a-hole. We just took the calls and they all, majority said that. Only one guy stuck up for you. To be fair,

00:09:12 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 6:

I felt like a real a-hole.

00:09:13 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 2:

I was just really hungry. But was the sandwich good?

00:09:16 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 6:

It was really good.

00:09:18 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 2:

It was worth it. Did it fill you up?

00:09:20 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. There you go. That sucks to be the

00:09:22 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 6:

worker. No, I'll do that.

00:09:25 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 1:
