00:02:22 - 00:02:35 | Speaker 4:

Turns out, I'm going to go home. No, you're not going to go home. Megan's back, everybody. Hi, Megan. I love you. Honestly, you look like crap. I feel like crap. I love you, but you look like crap.

00:02:35 - 00:02:36 | Unknown:

I do look like crap.

00:02:36 - 00:02:43 | Speaker 4:

I will tell you, I woke up very, very sweaty, and I was like, need to take a shower. That's all I have time for. You're welcome.

00:02:43 - 00:02:49 | Speaker 7:

Did you take a shower at all from the moment that you started getting sick? Because when did you start getting sick?

00:02:49 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 4:

I started getting sick at like noon-ish on Sunday, middle of the day on Sunday. And I thought, oh, this is the Sunday scaries. Like, it's fine. It's just the Sunday scaries. Turns out, nope, full-blown sinus infection cold.

00:03:03 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 7:

It's the worst.

00:03:05 - 00:03:21 | Speaker 4:

It really is. Well, at first I thought I had strep. I remember I texted you and I took photos as proof of my throat because I thought people would not believe me. And it turns out. Y'all sort of throat pigs? Right, right. I really truly want to go back home I truly

00:03:21 - 00:03:23 | Speaker 7:

That kind of took me by surprise

00:03:23 - 00:03:49 | Speaker 4:

We're talking about being sick I have them in my secret folder I don't Let me tell you I do not have it in me to put up With a sexual innuendos Five minutes into the day I don't have it I don't want to be back if that's how it's going to start I don't want it I don't need it I'd rather go back to bed um so yeah no it all started on sunday and then it just got worse words from there i guess yeah

00:03:49 - 00:04:21 | Speaker 7:

um i am uh i'm happy to know that you got sick when you were in toledo so you did spend uh time you had at least your family there for you because i feel bad it's it sucks i i remember i remember when even i mean even though the drive is close and everything's you know we got all of us and stuff but i remember when i moved to arizona from chicago the first time that i got sick and i was not home like with family and stuff like that and you don't know where to go like you don't know you know or who's gonna come over and stuff like i was so coddled by my sisters yeah

00:04:21 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 4:

but you're a boy i mean just be a girl even when i'm close to family i'm the only girl nobody's

00:04:27 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 7:

taking nobody was taking care of you no scott mick's like oh it's monday i mean at one point

00:04:34 - 00:04:43 | Speaker 4:

he'll be like do you need me to bring you anything i'm not having you drive an hour and a half when i live two blocks from a cbs did i walk to cbs yesterday at nine in the morning in the clothes

00:04:43 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 7:

that i had slept in yes of course i did yes of course you know what's crazy is that um doordash makes it so easy that i have actually doordashed like a little bottle of aspirin or or motrin or whatever that like i've done like back in the day like you you you have.

00:05:00 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 3:

you had to go in sick that delivery fee is out of hand i saw the delivery fee was going to be more than me walking two blocks to go pick it up for the actual order itself and i was like i cannot i cannot justify paying somebody to walk this one block over i live one block from the cbs downtown

00:05:18 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 4:

you almost want to have like the and i don't know if anybody's ever done this with the doordash but if you could have the doordasher justify it by saying can you stop at cbs and then can you stop of Steve's Deli getting chicken noodle soup.

00:05:29 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 2:

There should be a package, a sick package where it doesn't cost anything extra to go to a few different places.

00:05:35 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 4:

I'd like a Starbucks medicine ball. I just want a whole bunch of that stuff.

00:05:39 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 3:

I just tried to order one. You cannot order them on DoorDash. I'm pissed right now. I'm so pissed. I'm unprepared for today.

00:05:46 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, they need to have it. I think you can order it, but you have to just put all this stuff in yourself.

00:05:50 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 3:

It's a honey citrus mint tea, and they will not let you order it. Oh, really? I just tried. That's crazy. It makes me so angry.

00:05:57 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 4:

You do have one thing that will make you feel better today. What's that? Ricola. I do. I can see those right over there.

00:06:03 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 2:

Do you know how expensive these bad boys are now, too? I used to eat them like candy. Now I eat them like medicine. Oh, you don't eat the Ricola's like candy. It's the Ludens. Ludens are the best. Oh, they're both pretty good.

00:06:13 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 4:

We used to, when we were kids, that was the only thing that we could have in class that was considered candy because the teachers wouldn't let us have candy.

00:06:19 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 3:

Do you know the sugar-free ones right next to this? And I went, in this economy, when I'm sick, I'm not getting sugar-free when I'm sick.

00:06:26 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 4:

Man. You know who was asking about you yesterday was Gina, the cleaning lady.

00:06:31 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 3:

I love her. She yelled at me. What? She is so ride or die for you, it's not even funny. Hello, everybody. It's the weekend, bitches. Well, I was sitting in here the other day, and she was cleaning up. She was going through. She was cleaning everything, and there was a mess over where you sit, Mojo. And I forget what I had said. I had said something along the lines of that, Mojo, always a problem. Right, Gina? And she put down her cleaning supplies. And looked at me and she goes, don't you ever say Mojo is the problem ever. We should all be grateful for him. And we are so lucky to have him. And I went, Gina, it was a joke. And she looked at me and she was like, don't you ever call him. I thought she was going to take a bullet for you.

00:07:15 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 4:

She is. She's a member of the East Side Mafia. You do not mess with Gina the cleaning lady.

00:07:21 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 3:

Let me tell you, I always thought she was the sweetest lady in the entire world. And I saw a different side of her that was quite scary.

00:07:28 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 4:

That's her Lafayette name, the cleaning lady. You know when I realized how great Gina the Cleaning Lady was? When Gina the Cleaning Lady, one time I came into the studio in the afternoon. This was way back when, when Bo and DeVita were doing the afternoon show. And she is literally standing on top of the control board. And she is up and dusting the ceiling. And I'm like, this lady is going to kill herself.

00:07:50 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 2:

But only by you. Only where you are. The rest of us are sitting in trouble.

00:07:55 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. Everywhere else is dirty. I'm going to slip her money or something, because it is quite dusty.

00:08:01 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 4:

Yes, well, you know what? My favorite is the bathroom situation here at the studios, which I vowed that I was not going to talk about it after break, but I'll talk about this. She comes up to me, and she goes, Mojo, they only put two stalls in there. She goes, so, how do you go to the bathroom? I go, Gina, I'm telling you. Poor design, but I don't know. But let's welcome Megan back, guys. Where are you at? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Megan said that she was worried that she was going to be thought of as faking sick because she called in sick on a Monday, right?

00:08:42 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I think anytime you take out like a Monday or a Friday, everybody goes, oh, sure. Yeah. But you never call off, I feel like. No. I never do. I hate calling off. I feel so far behind. I feel more stressed out today than if I would have just came in.

00:08:55 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 2:

And you want to know how I knew you were sick, by the way, like really sick? Because when I texted you every morning to make sure you were okay, you texted me back. Wow. Something's wrong when you text right back.

00:09:06 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 4:

I was worried about her yesterday. I called her. She didn't pick up. And then I left her a message. And then this morning I didn't hear from her. Text her. Didn't hear for a while until I just saw the message just a little bit ago that she, I guess she was pulling out of the parking lot. But I was like, she might be at home dead.

00:09:21 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 3:

No, I feel so bad.

00:09:22 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 4:

This might be Anna Nicole Smith or something.

00:09:24 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God.

00:09:27 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 4:

You know what I'm talking about, right?

00:09:29 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 3:

Who Anna Nicole Smith is? No.

00:09:31 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 4:

Do you remember? They found her in her place by herself. Do you remember that?

00:09:36 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 2:

It wasn't her place. It was the Hard Rock Hotel.

00:09:38 - 00:09:40 | Speaker 4:

Or the Hard Rock Hotel. The hotel.

00:09:40 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 2:

I was there when it happened. That's how I remember so vividly. Yes. That's wild. Doing a broadcast for the radio station I worked at.

00:09:46 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 1:

Did you see, like, just police running, cameras and all of that? Yeah. I mean, yes. But, yeah. Dang. RIP out of Nicole Smith.

00:09:54 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 4:

I was worried about you. I was, I seriously, I was like going to do it. That's the thing. I was like thinking who does well.

00:10:00 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 2:

checks at your apartment that we can figure out is there anybody there is there no y'all just have to be sad and scared for a little bit there's got you got to have a well checker like we all need to have like the person that's the well checker would your dog know what to do my dog

00:10:16 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 4:

doesn't live with me most of the time yeah she'd eat you if you were dead for sure did you really honestly think there's no way your dog started eating you after like 24 hours really funny

00:10:26 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 2:

Would it be like the Gene Hackman thing? That's where my mom went.

00:10:30 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 4:

But their dog was dead. No, they had the other two. That's great. I think the other two were alive because they were eating them.

00:10:38 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 2:

The interesting thing is that I wouldn't want to bother you, though. That's the other thing, too. I think if I didn't hear from you by maybe Friday, I would probably say something. I would probably go. You better go to a full week? But that is also, Shannon brings up a really good point. Megan doesn't return our messages, and it's so normal that I wouldn't think anything was different. You know what I mean?

00:11:02 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 3:

But when she responds right away, you're going, oh, God.

00:11:05 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 2:

Somebody has her phone.

00:11:06 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 3:

This is the end?

00:11:09 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 2:

She's been kidnapped, and it's the abductors. Here, hold on a second.

00:11:14 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 4:

The punctuation was so bad. The grammar was still lacking. That's how you know it's me. If there's not a random capital letter.

00:11:21 - 00:11:29 | Speaker 2:

Hold on, Abductor, what is Chappell-Rone's real name? If you don't answer in five seconds, I'm not going to. What's going on, Marnie? How you doing?

00:11:30 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 6:

I'm good. Welcome back, Megan. Good to hear your voice. Thanks. Do you think I could take one more day? Just one more. Look, so at Starbucks, because I get the medicine ball also when I'm down, I know I have to, like, order it physically once, And then after that, I can go in and just order it online.

00:11:54 - 00:11:57 | Speaker 2:

That's a great, on your app, we'll save it. Hold on.

00:11:57 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 6:

Oh, we love a loophole.

00:11:59 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 2:

Marnie, that is a Starbucks hack. We needed it this morning. You gave it to us. We love you for that.

00:12:06 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 6:

We love you. Oh, I love you guys.

00:12:09 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 2:

Thanks, Marnie. We'll talk to you.

00:12:10 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 6:

You're welcome.

00:12:11 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 2:

Have a great day. What's up, Kylie? It's Mojo in the morning. What's going on?

00:12:16 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 5:

Okay, first of all, welcome back, Megan. We miss you, always. You're welcome. And, Shannon, you can't just skip that over. You've got to spill the tea. You can't gatekeep that.

00:12:26 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 2:

What's the heck? The Anna Nicole Smith story? Is that what you're talking about? Yeah. Yeah.

00:12:31 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. So, this was the Hard Rock Hotel down in Hollywood, Florida. Right? It was a Florida one. Yeah. And we were there. I was with my old morning show. It was called The Morning Mess, and we were there for a broadcast for something. I can't remember. And that happened, which was crazy. I mean, I didn't see her being wheeled out on a stretcher or anything like that, but there was a ton of media there, and everybody knew what had happened.

00:12:56 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 1:

I like my body. And if I ever record an album, I want this guy to produce my, make me beautiful duet.

00:13:09 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 3:

I want to say we were there for the Super Bowl that year. Really? And we ended up tacking on a few days before or a few days after. I can't remember if she died before or after.

00:13:18 - 00:13:19 | Speaker 2:

It was, I think, yeah. The Super Bowl.

00:13:19 - 00:13:26 | Speaker 3:

But that's why we were there. We were broadcasting from that hotel, and she died.

00:13:26 - 00:13:37 | Speaker 2:

That's crazy. If you knew that she died and you were on the same floor as hers, would you go by, like the Whitney thing? Remember, people, if they said people were trying to take pictures of Whitney's hotel room door?

00:13:37 - 00:13:38 | Speaker 3:

At the Beverly Hilton.

00:13:38 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, because they knew that she drowned in the pool.

00:13:41 - 00:13:43 | Speaker 3:

I thought she died at home. The bathtub.

00:13:43 - 00:13:43 | Speaker 2:

No.

00:13:43 - 00:13:45 | Speaker 4:

Who, Whitney? No, Whitney.

00:13:45 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 2:

No, she was in the hotel bathtub.

00:13:47 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:13:48 - 00:14:40 | Speaker 2:

But I swear to you, like, I don't know if this is weird, Kylie, I would go on a celebrity morbid tour of where the celebrities died, wouldn't you? Like, I've seen, I saw the Princess Diana tunnel when we went over to Paris, which was pretty freaking cool. Honestly, I was more excited about that than Chelsea making us all have to go see the smallest little picture ever of the Mona Lisa. What are you, you just look at the tunnel? We drove through it. We actually did the route from where she was, the hotel that she walked, the spinning doors, those doors that they have at hotels. Revolving doors? Yeah, revolving doors. And then we got into our car, which we had an Uber that was there, and I said, hey, can you drive us through? We just want to see where it was. And we drove through, and it was literally no different than driving through the tunnel down the street from the radio station here over the overpass.

00:14:41 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 3:

But you get a weird feeling.

00:14:41 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:14:42 - 00:14:44 | Speaker 3:

Right? You get a weird feeling when you pass by that spot.

00:14:44 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 2:

You see how it is that if you have all these cars following her, how they could get into an accident because it was just so crazy. Well, all right, we're at full strength. Good to have Megan back. The first season of the X Games League is ending in New Orleans.

00:15:00 - 00:15:22 | Speaker 3:

and only one team walks away champion. July 24th through 26th at the Caesar Superdome, watch the world's best skaters, BMX riders, and moto athletes battle for the title.
