All right, Mojo in the Morning. So Megan this morning woke up to what looked like a police incident and somebody trying to rob a car or steal a car.

Not a car, multiple cars. This morning I woke up to so many car alarms. It was like, beam, beam, beam. And then like 30 seconds later you would hear like, beam, beam, beam, beam, beam, beam. Like all of the cars on my street were just getting broken into. It was so, just kind of like annoying to hear. Loud and annoying.

Did you actually pay attention? Because most people don't ever pay attention when they hear a car alarm.

Well, no, I was like up and moving around. Like I was in the shower when I heard it. So I like got out of the shower and then I checked my ring camera. The worst part for me is now I know that somebody's out there breaking into cars and I have to go out to my car in a minute. First of all, is it going to be broken into or am I going to run into? Because either way, this is not a good start for my day. so i had to call the cops i was like i don't want to be out there with this guy who's like breaking out into all these cars and so i called the cops unfortunately and i god i hate doing that but like what else was i gonna do and they were like oh we'll send a like a cruiser out we'll send somebody over there to go check it out i hate when they call it that by the way i'm like well you're not on the dream cruise like go to go go investigate i don't know like go on a mission i would i would be way better with the term mission than send a cruiser out so they were like we'll send somebody with like zero motivation to actually do anything and i was like i just want somebody out here so i'm not alone walking to my car nobody came but i was like whatever so i had to stop and get gas and obviously red bulls this morning so i stopped at a gas station and there were two cop cars and this is pretty close to my neighborhood and i walk over there and i was like hey do you have an update on like what's going on whatever i did not realize they had the guy in handcuffs they were actually doing his arrest wow okay like it doing his right like handcuffs trying to get him into the car and i was like hey guys anybody hear about all the car breakers they were like oh could you not bother us we're in the middle of an investigation and i was like this has been a weird start to my day i was just trying to be helpful i know the guy across from me um like has a he's like a not mechanic what they he goes into people's houses and work on their furnaces hvac man hvac thing thank you and i was like his truck gets broken into literally all of the time i know yeah i know that's what they were going in for and then they were just hitting up all of the other cars but

how crazy that you actually it came full circle and you saw him in the car but also why are you

yelling at me i didn't see it i didn't know what's going on i'm just trying to find out what's happening what i feel like i just got yelled at this morning i didn't have enough caffeine in my

system and i was over it over it my dog did a bunch of smashing grabs and went to the gas station

you know he wanted a snack he was like crumb makes me hungry i was uh i was on facebook uh this

weekend and saw a person i follow on facebook who doesn't live that far from uh from where i live talking about how her car got uh stolen uh it's happening in my neighborhood and they finally

I just caught the guy. Is it someone that lives in my neighborhood?

Well, no, it's in West Bloomfield.

Yeah. My neighborhood has had a major issue lately, and there was one night last week where a group of people went through on a tear and not only broke into vehicles and stools.

stuff but also four vehicles were stolen and they just caught the guy I saw them post his mugshot

that's crazy I mean it's nutty it's never fun when you get your car stolen they they say that

the thing that this guy was doing or this ring was doing was they had two cars that would drive so one with a person in it as lookout one then with the person that's going to go and steal the car and they would go look at neighborhoods look for cars that were easily able to be stolen and And then they would steal the car, go, and then I guess they take it. This particular car they found, I think, like in Southfield or in the city limits of Detroit.

So they're not even taking it far.

So they're, well, they're taking, what they're doing is they're taking it. And I think that what they're doing is they're trying to see if there's any valuables in the car first. So that's easy grab. And then I think that they're maybe trying to sell parts or something. I don't know.

Every time my car has been broken into, it's been unlocked. That's the thing that pisses me off.

That's actually not bad, though. You want that. I hate to say it because they'll get in and they'll cause more damage.

They smashed the window. The door was unlocked. Opened the door.

In San Francisco, the whole thing that they were telling people, if you park your car on the streets there, they said, leave your windows down so that people couldn't smash your windows. Derek, what's up?

Hey, so one time I used to live at Duplex, and my bedroom was at the front, And I hear somebody, like, messing with the other door. I'm like, oh, uh-oh, like, somebody's breaking in. So, like, I get my firearm, and then, like, I go get my mom. I call 911, and the 911 operator's like, are you sure somebody's breaking in? I'm like, what do you mean? Like, I'm sure, I'm sure. And then my mom goes to open the door. I'm like, what do you do? And she's like, it's your dad. He went Black Friday shopping. Oh, no.

Just want to shoot your dad. This guy's got his gun going. Oh, my God. Wow, that's, yeah, that's not good. I can't believe how many people leave valuable stuff in their car. Like, why would you leave your computer in your car?

Maybe it's an accident, but I don't get the people who do it intentionally.

Well, there's a lot of times where people will leave their car parked outside. First off, if you live, like this person that I saw that their car was stolen, they live in a house I think that has a garage. I'm like, why are you not putting that thing in a garage?

Because our garages are filled with everything else we own.

It's all those kids' bicycles?

It is. It's bicycles and scooters. I don't know anybody who uses their garage.

Well, I keep mine in my garage. Chelsea thinks it's funny that I actually pull my car in the garage during the day and close that thing right away just because a lot of stuff is happening at night. There was another person I saw on Facebook that was saying that at 7 o'clock at night there was robberies to a bunch of homes that were in, Shannon, not that far from your neighborhood.

7 o'clock? 7 o'clock at night. People are home.

I know. Well, they're saying that what's going on is that it's nicer weather. And a lot of times people will go on family walks and people don't lock their doors when they leave. That's crazy. And then they just go right in. Or you've heard this before where somebody will come to the front door. You'll answer the front door. You get your slider open in the back. They'll walk right through the back. They'll sit there and try to pretend like, Hey, we're doing tree trimming service in your neighborhood and the person's ransacking your house going through your your bedroom and

stealing your valuables and stuff so we're not canada lock your doors you say i wouldn't do it

in canada everybody does it in canada they're crazy i wouldn't do it anywhere yeah kev is you know is crazy they want if they want it they're gonna get it right these criminals i think i i

But shout out to Bill Brown. Bill Brown Ford. I met his daughter one time. You actually met Bill Brown? I met his daughter. Oh, no, okay. His daughter was coming out, and I wanted to get an oil change. It was taking too long, so I got her number. She was like, hook him up with a car wash. I ain't had a bread to get my car fixed at the time, but she let them keep it for like an extended amount of time.

That's a good person to date, the daughter of a car dealer.

I thought about sending her flowers, but never did it.

The one that made me cry was when somebody cut my soft top. I started taping on all of the windows, like doors are unlocked. Because it's like $3,000 to replace a soft top.

I got to tell you that the thing that I'm hearing more and more, too, is that a lot of the cars that are coming back, the car insurances are not covering a lot of the damage that is done. And so a lot of times people are like, you know what, I just don't even want it back. Just don't give it back to me because if you give it back to me, then I got to get it fixed and it's not covering the whole thing.

When my car is packed with stuff that I either need to return or donate or...

break the gear shift and and you're off you ever you ever get okay so i had the crappiest car get broken into so bad that it totaled the car by breaking the window like it was so old and they to ship the glass from Japan that it costs more than the value of the car? Like, you ever get a car like that ma-hooped you and was broken into and you're like, why wouldn't you go to a new car with nice things in it? What made you think this 1991 Toyota Camry was going to be your goldmine? Like, what were you thinking?
