Mojo in the Morning Show. i'm looking forward to seeing if she follows through with this megan you want to tell everybody the the news of what you're contemplating what you're thinking i'm making good life decisions

00:01:32 - 00:01:44 | Speaker 5:

i just want to preface him by um saying that before anybody can tell me i'm not because if i say it first and i say it louder than i'm right um but i want to give myself a tattoo

00:01:45 - 00:01:47 | Speaker 3:

Why don't you go get it done? A D-Y.

00:01:48 - 00:02:41 | Speaker 5:

So, that makes sense. And I'm actually the biggest person to advocate to going to professionals. I mean, even for piercings, when I hear people do it with a gun, it makes me cringe. I'm like, go to a professional. Go, go, go. But I'm not going to take my own advice on this one. Because I'm absolutely terrified of getting my first tattoo. I know that sounds crazy, but let's call it a trauma response. I've been ingrained to not be allowed to have tattoos. And even though I want to be covered, like literally head to toe one day, I have this biggest fear of getting my first tattoo and making the leap. And I know once I get my first tattoo, it's game over. We're going, you know, full steam ahead. But I cannot, I can't get the first, I can't do it. I literally cannot make the appointment. I know who I want to go to. I know what I want.

00:02:41 - 00:02:46 | Speaker 6:

can't make the appointment. Do you want us to go with you? Um, I, I'm serious. Would it help to

00:02:46 - 00:03:13 | Speaker 5:

have people there with you? Yes, but here's, I don't mind that kind of as an option for the first tattoo, but I also think that like just doing one myself and just knocking it off the board, something small, I'm not saying I'm an artiste. I'm not going to go out and buy a gun online and try to do it myself. That's stupid, but like a stick and poke, something I can do very small myself and bite the bullet and just kind of get over that big hump.

00:03:13 - 00:03:18 | Speaker 3:

I thought the only people that did their own tattoos were prisoners in a correctional facility.

00:03:18 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 5:

I would also say mentally unstable 20-something year old sitting in their apartment surrounded by cacti would also fit into that category. And I would like to be that girl, please. If I can have a lavender iced coffee next to my snake plant doing a stick and poke, I think I've reached peak basic bitch.

00:03:36 - 00:03:41 | Speaker 3:

Megan, Megan, could you, if you were, like, diabetic, could you give yourself your own shots of insulin or anything like that?

00:03:41 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 5:

I had to give myself injections for, like, years. So I know I could do it. Yeah. I know I could do it.

00:03:47 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 6:

But I want you to have, like, I'm saying this like I have so many tattoos. I have one little tattoo on my foot. But I want you to have a really good first tattoo experience where you walk away and you're like, I love it. It's beautiful. It's exactly what I wanted. Right.

00:04:01 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 3:

Courtney says we need to break into coverage with her Why is that, Courtney?

00:04:08 - 00:04:31 | Speaker 7:

Yes, Megan, please do not do it Please do not do it That is permanent on your body There's so many ways you can practice Other ways Don't do it on yourself, girl That's a forever thing You have to pay for it to get it covered up I'm just saying because my husband He has a couple tattoos He has a Bam Margera tattoo You're supposed to be Van Margera. Don't look that like Van Margera.

00:04:32 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 4:

No, no.

00:04:33 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 7:

It looks like Edgar Allen Poe.

00:04:38 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 5:

Okay, let's take portraits off the table. I'm not going to go with a face for my stick and poke. Wait, so what are you going to do? I don't know. That's where it's starting. Yeah, something like very, very simple line work, something very, very small and simple. I'm not getting fancy out here. Yeah, probably. I just need to mark

00:05:00 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 2:

my body i just need to mark it and get it over with listen i will give you my my tattoo artist

00:05:05 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 1:

he's in he's a really he's awesome he's in detroit he does amazing amazing amazing work i'll give you his information don't do it girl that's a forever thing i'm just saying i'm just

00:05:16 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 6:

trying to look out for you keenan got his own tattoo when did you get it

00:05:20 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 8:

are you uh you're talking to me yeah your name's keenan right hey yeah sorry i didn't hear you no That's alright

00:05:28 - 00:05:32 | Speaker 6:

What's going on You got Where and when Did you get your own tattoo Your

00:05:32 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 8:

100% She needs to do it She needs to do one By herself At her house Because When I was in college I I got one From my My fraternity brother Which is like Super douchey I know But he got a tattoo Gone off of Amazon And we did tattoos In the basement Of our frat house That sounds like A great idea

00:05:56 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 1:

What did you get

00:05:57 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 8:

tattooed on you i got like this little like it almost looks like the the zelda shield and it's just like on my ankle it's my worst tattoo that i have but it's my favorite one because it's got a

00:06:10 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 6:

great story behind it yeah so so it's all about the story not about the tattoo but put it in a place where not you're not going to see it so i don't know i kind of think it's like i don't know

00:06:20 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 8:

it's just i have enough tattoos now to where it's like i mean i have a sleeve and you know a couple other ones nobody notices it yeah nobody notices it you know and it's like i have enough tattoos that mean something but that one is just fun because it's like i got it with my buddies and

00:06:34 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 6:

do you still by the way talk to that frat brother because maybe you and he can go drive down to

00:06:39 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 8:

toledo and go help megan out we could probably make something happen you know i've done a lot

00:06:46 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 5:

of stupid things where i'm like i don't know how i'm still alive i don't know how i did this i don't you know what i should not be alive right now but i would never in a million trillion years not go to a tattoo artist to get a tattoo. Like the way that they clean things, there's no way I would not go to a tattoo artist.

00:07:03 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 2:

That's like saying, I want an infection.

00:07:05 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 5:

Right, exactly.

00:07:06 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 2:

It makes sense. I'm not arguing with you. That is the smart thing to do. But I need somebody to tell me to not do the smart thing for once.

00:07:15 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 6:

Becca is great. Becca, you actually did a stick and poke tattoo?

00:07:21 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 3:

I did, I did. I was in prison and I did a stick and poke.

00:07:24 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 6:

There you go.

00:07:25 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. It's actually not bad. You are going to be fine. You will not die.

00:07:31 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 6:

What were you in prison for?

00:07:35 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 3:

Let's not talk about that. Everyone has their moments, you know. Everyone has their moments. I'm a good person. I'm a good girl, but just don't do it alone.

00:07:44 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 6:

What's your tattoo of? What did you get a tattoo of?

00:07:47 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 3:

I did a little cross on my finger.

00:07:49 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 6:

There you go. That's the first easy one, Megan.

00:07:52 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I could do that. It made me feel better about being in prison.

00:07:55 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 6:

And, Megan, we know how religious you are. That would be perfect.

00:07:59 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 2:

I'll tell my dad it's for him. It's fine. Oh, there you go. Exactly.

00:08:02 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 6:

All the years of Catholic school have paid off for Scott Mick.

00:08:05 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 2:

He'd be so good.

00:08:06 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 6:

His daughter's doing her own cross tattoo. All right. Thank you, Becca. Advice well taken from a woman from prison. What's going on, Ryan?

00:08:15 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 7:

Hey, what's up? Megan, they sell this fake skin on Amazon. You can buy it. You can take the fake skin to your arm if you want. and then you can tattoo on that. Oh, that's not fun.

00:08:25 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 2:

It's really creepy. That is not fun.

00:08:26 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 6:

So you can practice on fake skin.

00:08:29 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, they made it for a tattoo artist at the beginning. You can practice on grapefruit, but they made the skin.

00:08:34 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 6:

They sell everything on Amazon, don't they?

00:08:36 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 2:

That's like very Hannibal Lectery.

00:08:38 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, yeah. That's kind of crazy. All right, but it seems like it would be the smart thing to do, right?

00:08:43 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but what he just said is the same as being like, go get a coloring book. Color it. Like, no, it's not the same.

00:08:50 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 6:

Do you actually get to wear that fake skin out sometimes too? All right. You have to figure this decision out, and listeners are going to give you some advice. So hit up Megan on her Instagram and tell her. And if you've done your own personal tattoo, like your own homemade tattoo, I want you guys to send her pictures of it. Megan Mick.

00:09:13 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 5:

Megan, she's the best. And don't you forget it. This is Mojo in the Morning.
