show megan and the man spreader oh my god this drove me nuts yesterday absolutely nuts uh i

00:01:45 - 00:03:50 | Speaker 8:

actually was very excited i got to go see dear evan hansen yesterday because it's in town i want to see it i love what is dear evan hansen it's a it's a musical oh yep it's really really really good don't um watch the movie go see it live instead um but i went to go see it and it was absolutely phenomenal i will give you like a bit of a trigger warning when it comes to that show it's very heavy material it's like a a very it's serious it is pretty serious when you say oh gosh yeah it's pretty serious it's very heavy I think it's really important um but you're going into it going this is probably going to be an emotional roller coaster I wanted it to be that for me unfortunately it wasn't because the man next to me decided that it was it was his show and he was going to be as comfortable as possible and what i mean by that is that he decided to just spread out like back in um elementary school we used to sing the song in uh gym class it would be peanut butter jelly spread out and that's what this guy decided to do his arms were like not crossed but like almost on his hips in his seat and then uh most normal people cross their legs in their chair because we're all just sitting politely not this guy no no no he put them as far apart from each other as he possibly could like his knees were both north and south pole and they needed to get away from each other and um that meant that i had no room to sit in my seat now listen i'm a larger lady i understand that sometimes people take up more space this was not the case this was a skinny man skinny skinny skinny and He just wanted space to air out his balls, and I was not here for it, okay? Pack your balls away. Nobody cares. Clench them up in your thighs. Goodbye. Give me my space back. Exactly.

00:03:50 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 1:

By the way, when people do this, and it happens to a lot of people, I'm sure. You'll have to call us up and tell us where it's happened to you. When people do this thing, do you have the ability to be able to take your hand and push their leg to the side? No, but I thought- Can you spread your thighs out to make them, you know? Does it become one of those things that you, what were the exercise devices you'd put in between your thighs?

00:04:14 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 6:

Hi, master.

00:04:16 - 00:04:31 | Speaker 8:

I'm pretty sure if I was wearing my Apple Watch, it would have said, are you doing a workout right now? Because the sweat that was dripping down my back to clench my knees together for an entire three-hour show. I should be in the Olympics because my body was aching afterwards.

00:04:31 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 7:

That's like airplanes too. Exactly. And people do that. And you're like, and I'm always sitting in the middle seat if I'm traveling with somebody or else I try to get a window. But even then, like, who gets the armrest? It's like, yeah, who gets the armrest? And then you're just people are spreading on both sides of you and you're trying to just be comfortable for an hour.

00:04:53 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 1:

And if you're at an event like Megan is where you want to enjoy yourself, how can you? The problem, too, is.

00:05:00 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 6:

when you're wearing shorts or a woman's wearing a dress and your actual skin is touching.

00:05:06 - 00:05:15 | Speaker 3:

Skin to skin, me touching. If it's someone you know, then it's fine. But if it's a stranger, it's oddly sexual. I don't know. You have to have your thigh up against somebody else's thigh.

00:05:16 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 4:

So yesterday I went to the Pistons press conference for the introduction of Monte Williams, and that pace was like packed. All of these chairs are literally so close to each other. It was tighter than an airport. And this lady, she was lady spreading, I guess, if you can say that. Really? Yeah, but she was an older lady, so I didn't want to, like, push her legs. I was like, okay, you can air it out.

00:05:38 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 1:

That's good.

00:05:39 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 6:

You're good. Yeah, sometimes you lose, like, bodily control at that point.

00:05:44 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so this is what I was going to say. And, Mojo, I feel like, I don't know if you remember this, but when I go to my yoga classes, sometimes the classes are so packed that there are mats all around you, right? There are people all around you. And you're supposed to kind of be aware and stay in your space and on your mat, even when you're doing poses that, you know, cause you to, like, put your leg out or your arm out or whatever. And it's the worst when not only you touch somebody, but their sweat is dripping on you and your mat.

00:06:13 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 6:

The worst is, too, is, you know, when you do the whole thing where you're supposed to, like, put your arms out and do your arms out and the person pokes you in the eye. But you're right. Yoga is a prime example of that one. And I remember at Raina's classes at Center for Yoga, it'd be so crowded in that place that you couldn't help but, like, be touching people. And it would be very, very weird when it was Fletch that was next to me. What's going on, Bonnie? How you doing?

00:06:44 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 2:

Hey, how are you? Just to let you know, I took my three-year-old granddaughter to see the Little Mermaid yesterday, and there were three teenage girls sitting next to me. and the girl next to me kept flailing her legs and then they ended up sitting on the floor in front of their seats watching the movie they were clearly like 15 16 years old and it was just really weird then they'd get up and the girl would hit me with their leg again if she got in her seat

00:07:14 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 6:

and where did you go what theater did you go to because that's why i love going to imagine so

00:07:19 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 2:

that can have those really nice chairs oh it was really nice it was it was mjr at partridge creek they were big spacious chairs and it was definitely why are they still touching you

00:07:31 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 6:

at that point they shouldn't there should be enough room i don't know but my three-year-old

00:07:36 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 2:

granddaughter was more well behaved than anyone i feel like i need to uh speaking of kids at events

00:07:43 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 5:

i need to apologize for my daughter who is nine years old but at the taylor swift show was probably in Mojo's and Megan's space that entire show. Oh, that's cute. Jumping around and flailing and everything.

00:07:54 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 3:

Mike, I got to tell you what Cecily did when she was here, and it was so cute, but also I almost choked. She was cutting up her friendship bracelets over my breakfast sandwich, and I didn't realize that some of the string had gotten in the sandwich, and I took a bite, and I almost choked on a string. And she was like, hey, do you have my string? And I'm like, yeah, here you go.

00:08:17 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 6:

Pull it out of your mouth like hair. Can you imagine all of a sudden a bead? You got a bead like that. What's up, Sarah? Hi.

00:08:25 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 7:

Hi. So, well, first of all, KP, that string is like the ultimate friendship if you got that stuck.

00:08:32 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 3:

Me and Seth, we go way back.

00:08:36 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 7:

So the other thing I was going to say was for when Megan was talking about, you know, the man, like, sparing his legs and stuff, nobody talks about when um the guy's leg hair is touching a female leg if it's not like your family member or significant other it's just weird it's like a little weird like having that like little tiny hair is just like touching your little lady legs like no thank you like

00:09:04 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 6:

yeah it's disgusting by the way meg did megan just say this because if she did we got to pull this for a drop, Sarah, you'll have to go back and listen to the podcast of this. Somebody text in, did Megan really just say that she has trouble keeping her legs together? Okay,

00:09:19 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 7:

so has anybody fallen onto that side of TikTok where it's give me one margarita, I'm going to open my legs. Give me two margaritas.

00:09:27 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 5:

Yes, I 100% know what you're talking about. I got a damn margarita.

00:09:31 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 7:

I agree with that. Your legs go different ways. When you sit down, somebody might stay closer together like when you relax they like you know relax out by the way were you just doing it while you were

00:09:47 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 6:

telling us did you spread the leg okay all right it sounded like she was actually doing it at that

00:09:52 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 7:

moment thank you for giving him the attitude that question deserved hold on we got more

00:09:57 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 6:
