It is the Mojo in the Morning show. Good to have you guys here with us. So one thing that you probably already know about Megan is sometimes she makes a bigger deal out of things than she should what sometimes no

00:02:26 - 00:02:33 | Speaker 4:

never that's not my personality nobody's ever said that and when craziness happens

00:02:33 - 00:02:40 | Speaker 6:

megan do you think that you make things even more crazy yeah i learned something about myself that i

00:02:40 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 4:

did not like this weekend um and i hate those moments because there's no denying it like you ever watch a news story where somebody is the hero of the day they acted in an instance they saved lives they did the right thing they didn't even think twice about it and you you watch that and you'd go i'll do that i know i'd do that i would do the same thing i would be cool as a cucumber in emergency um and then i had reality hit me you know real hard across the face this weekend and telling me uh that's not you girl that's not you don't even try to pretend so over the weekend i thought i set my oven on fire which is not the first time i actually uh set it ablaze so bad that we had to replace it at my dad's house twice don't worry about it um but i realized in the heat of the moment i have it back not the person you want around in an emergency i panicked i totally dropped the ball i stood in place i could not remember where my fire extinguisher was By the way, because I have a problem of setting appliances on fire and a history of it, there are four fire extinguishers in my house. Four of them. Did I remember where a single one was? No, of course I did not. That would be helpful, and I am not helpful in an emergency. I always say my brother, I never say his name. My brother's name is Sean. So I'm sitting in the kitchen, or I'm in the kitchen. I think my oven's on fire. I panic, can't find a fire extinguisher. And I just start not even screaming because that would have been, again, helpful. Just quietly, Sean, Sean, Sean, he's not around. He's outside mowing the grass. I thought he could hear me. Nope. And I just kept standing in place thinking it was on fire. Turns out, fun fact, I just burned a piece of toast. But I did learn in an emergency I am not useful at all. Somebody call now. Shawty fire burning now.

00:04:38 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 6:

Megan, what was the first thing that you lit on fire at your dad's house back in the day?

00:04:43 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

Bacon. I definitely put bacon on a tray because I did not know how to cook at the time. And I had burned myself with bacon splatter on the stovetop. So my brother was like, just put it in the oven. But I put it on a cookie sheet and not like a baking sheet. So I had no edges. Splattered all over.

00:05:00 - 00:05:03 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that grease just goes up in flames real quick.

00:05:04 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 3:

So we're learning toast, bacon. You're not a breakfast cooker. You'd probably not be sure.

00:05:09 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 4:

It's like a bad luck one for you, a bad luck meal for you. I said a frozen pizza on fire before because, again, I can't cook. So if you just put something frozen in the oven, it'll be fine, right? Well, not if you fall asleep, turns out.

00:05:22 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 3:

Who else is, like Megan, who else is the panicker in the case of an emergency? Will you call yourself out? Or call that person out. One of the things that Chelsea has told me on a positive with me, my wife Chelsea has said, that when things get panicky, I actually know how to kind of keep things under control.

00:05:43 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 6:

That's good. You're the voice of reason.

00:05:44 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I kind of do a decent job of that. She's good at it, too. She's, like, really good at that. She's the calling factor.

00:05:49 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 6:

I can see Chelsea, yeah.

00:05:51 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Especially if the bad things happen to me. Chelsea's on this new thing now where she tells me that every time that I have something going on, I think I'm dying. Me too. She said the other day, I was like, I, you know, all of a sudden felt this sharp pain. And she goes, what's going on? And I go, I think I'm dying right now. And she's like, you just got up from the couch. Sharp pain going on there. What did Sean do, by the way? Did you have to run and grab Sean out of the yard and come and...

00:06:26 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 5:

No, because I... Sorry. There she is. I realized when I was in the panic, I started, like, unplug stuff, right? That's the first thing is, like, turn everything off. And I looked at my oven, and it was just already off. And then I realized it wasn't on fire because it was off. I'm so dumb.

00:06:48 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 3:

I have always this fear of fire. I don't know if you guys get this at all. But I always have this fear of fire because when I was a kid, my neighbor's house that was right directly next door to us burned down because of their dryer. They left clothes in the dryer. And back in the day, there used to be where the lint, I think they changed this a little bit, but the lint would cause a fire. And it would continue, like your dryer would continue to go on and it caused a huge fire and the house burned down. And if I'm not mistaken, they might have made them a little bit more fire retardant so that it doesn't happen. But I don't know. But I have this fear of fire all the time.

00:07:27 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 6:

I'm like that with my grill. Because it actually happened to a friend of mine. Her grill blew up while her family was eating dinner inside and burned their house down.

00:07:35 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 3:

Well, and honestly, I always have this fear of we barbecue, which we're going to barbecue tonight. I always think I didn't turn it off. So in the middle of the night, I'll wake the whole family up thinking I left the grill on.

00:07:45 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:07:46 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. What's going on, Lauren? Hi, Lauren.

00:07:52 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 8:

Hi, good morning.

00:07:53 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's going on? Are you like Megan? Are you a panicker?

00:07:57 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 8:

Oh, for sure. It's like my middle name. But the worst part is I don't do blood at all. So I just a couple weekends ago was cutting lettuce for a salad, and I should have just went with a burger or something because I sliced the top of my thumb just enough to where I passed out twice in the bathroom while my husband was trying to clean it up.

00:08:16 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 3:

Oh, God, that's awful.

00:08:19 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 8:

Oh, yeah. I passed out at the dentist when my daughter had to get a crown, so I'm drinking an orange juice box in the room next to her because I'm like the worst mom ever. It's horrible.

00:08:27 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 2:

Do you bleed a lot? You're a big bleeder?

00:08:31 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 8:

No, but I just seem like always to be in a traumatic situation, and even if there's no blood, my girlfriend got into a car accident when we were like 18, and I showed up to the scene to help her clean her car out. She was up walking around fine, and I totally walked away and passed out face planted on the asphalt and the ems said uh does your friend need a stretcher wow and my friend said oh no she just has a weak stomach she'll be fine so it's horrible and i've never

00:08:55 - 00:09:30 | Speaker 3:

outgrown it i have a first aid kit in my bag i carry a first aid kit with me i know it sounds weird to say that i keep one in my car i have a fear that i'm going to bleed to death so my wife had to buy me uh bleed stop uh it's basically you put it it's like this powdery stuff you put on if you have where you're bleeding that will stop the bleeding because I have this fear that I'm going to bleed to death because I had a horrible dream one night that that was how I died in a pool of blood Megan you and I we're like seriously we are not the same

00:09:30 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 1:

you just got dragged into this I know you hate this

00:09:35 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 3:

what's up Erica

00:09:36 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 1:

hi Mojo that was a pleasant story

00:09:39 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 7:

what's going on so i wanted to share with you that when i was in college i was making a turkey burger and i was making it in like avocado oil and i scorched it so bad that all of the alarms went off at the school and the whole building had to evacuate

00:09:55 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 5:

wait you still have your fire alarms plugged in because at this point

00:10:00 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 2:

I'm so bad at cooking, I had to take the one out of my kitchen. It was at the university, not my house. Oh, my gosh.

00:10:07 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 7:

So did everybody in the dorm have to leave the dorms and stand out in front waiting for a fire?

00:10:12 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 2:

It was in one of the classroom buildings because we had a kitchen within our classroom. And so, like, all of the classes in that building had to evacuate.

00:10:20 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 1:

You walk out there and go, man, who did that?

00:10:23 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, complete denial.

00:10:25 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 7:

Hey, Colin, what's going on?

00:10:28 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 4:

How are you guys doing?

00:10:29 - 00:10:31 | Speaker 7:

Good, Colin. Are you a panicker?

00:10:32 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 4:

I am definitely a panicker, and it's funny. The story that I was thinking about, the coworker I was with is the exact opposite.

00:10:40 - 00:10:41 | Speaker 7:

Really?

00:10:41 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 4:

I was working in the back one day, and we'll say his name is Mike. He comes to the back, and he says, hey, Vicki's having a seizure up front. I panic. Everybody in the building knows within five minutes. And he says, hey, Victoria is having a seizure up front. like nonchalantly like nothing's happening so what do you do when you panic you start screaming or

00:11:04 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 7:

hyperventilating breathing heavy well it went from are you kidding me to um out to the emergency

00:11:14 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 4:

personnel security person to on the phone with 911 to on the phone with the managers across the street to pretty much just letting everybody know what's going on it's funny you're the person that

00:11:24 - 00:11:35 | Speaker 7:

You don't want to make the 911 call because they have to, like, calm you down and don't deal with the injury or whatever it is that's going on, right, the person that needs to be tended to.

00:11:35 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 4:

No, I delegated somebody to take care of Victoria, and I dealt with everything else.

00:11:40 - 00:11:43 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Poor Jordan. Listen to this story here. Jordan?

00:11:45 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 3:

Hey, how's it going?

00:11:46 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 7:

You're such a panicker. Tell everybody what happened when your wife gave birth.

00:11:50 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. So, my wife and I had our first kid together a couple weeks ago, and we actually had the baby there in Toledo. And during delivery, I passed out. It was so embarrassing.

00:12:03 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I think that that's happened to a lot of dads.

00:12:06 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 3:

Really? It was the most terrible thing ever. My wife, obviously, with our first, she was, like, so distraught that I was gone. Like, it was just so crazy the way it worked out.

00:12:20 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 7:

Did they have to tend more medical needs to you than they did to your wife, who was about ready to push out a baby?

00:12:27 - 00:13:12 | Speaker 3:

Well, it was crazy because how it happened was I had been gone. They had admitted her to the hospital, and we live an hour away, so I had to go and get her back. So I was gone for an hour to get home, an hour at the house, and then an hour to get back. And this actually wasn't even during her delivery. I came back in the room, and I helped her to go and use the bathroom. and i look in like there's like this little like uh bowl that they have in the toilet for the urine or whatever yes and i take one look at it and it was all bloody and i passed out you poor bastard literally standing i take a couple steps out of the bathroom and my wife says i fell while i was standing i bumped my head and he hit it so hard

00:13:12 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 7:

And I even bled.

00:13:17 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 3:

So I was gone for another, like, hour and a half. Oh, my gosh. One and a half of the way of the delivery.

00:13:23 - 00:13:24 | Speaker 7:

What did you guys have?

00:13:26 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 3:

We had a baby girl.

00:13:27 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 7:

Oh, congratulations to you.

00:13:29 - 00:13:38 | Speaker 3:

Thank you guys so much. Glad you made it through. Hey, you know what? I did. I made it through, and I was able to redeem myself and cut the umbilical cord. Oh, good.

00:13:38 - 00:13:46 | Speaker 7:

That's awesome. And I can't believe that they allowed you to actually have the scissors in your hand. Take care of yourself.

00:13:46 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 1:

I know it's crazy. Have you met Megan? She's all panic and no disco. This is Mojo in the morning.
