What's your in the morning? Phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. That is the phone number. Text is 95500. Good to have you guys here with us today. It's Mojo, Shannon, Megan, Mike, Kev, KP, Lydia, and got a lot to get to this morning. But first, we have to settle a debate that's going on right now, a little argument happening. Sibling argument happening between Megan and Sean, her brother. And the argument is over whether or not this will look ugly in Megan's backyard. And there is going to be a little bit of something to my answer on this one. And that something is going to be, if you eventually ever invite us over to your house.

00:03:18 - 00:03:19 | Speaker 7:

No.

00:03:19 - 00:03:45 | Speaker 8:

That will be my deciding factor. Because, Kev, you're new. You don't know this. Megan will never invite us to her house as a collective or like not at all like even just whatever doesn't make a difference doesn't she won't I went and picked her up one time at her house guess what yeah I had I went to the bus stop down the street at the end of the main no actually she let me go to the driveway so I did see the driveway I was waiting on the porch so

00:03:45 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 7:

that yeah you at least got that when I was down in Toledo remember Megan we you were like I'll meet you at the restaurant. That is absolutely correct.

00:03:53 - 00:03:54 | Speaker 8:

What's the reason behind this? What's the backstory?

00:03:55 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 7:

Because my, I'm embarrassed of my house. It's not nice and I don't want people to come over and see it.

00:04:02 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 8:

You live in a trap house?

00:04:04 - 00:04:06 | Speaker 7:

Pretty much. No, you do not.

00:04:07 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 8:

She lives in a very nice house. I've seen her house when we've done, you know, Zooms and, you know, Teams meetings and things like that. Well, I've been in a few trap houses, Megan, so I'll be fine.

00:04:18 - 00:04:25 | Speaker 7:

I mean, if you went to BGSU, you know that Mack House floor, too, was the trap house of that campus, and I spent a lot of my time there.

00:04:25 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 8:

But if Megan gets her way, she can make her house look so much better, or her brother doesn't think so, with what?

00:04:32 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 7:

Well, I really, really want an above-ground pool. Hear me out here. I love that you just lay us right past that to give us the reasons why this is okay. Because Kev needs to know something before we move on here, and if you're new to the show, maybe you need to learn this as well. That I grew up in a nice part of Toledo. I grew up in Slovenia. And we had a mm-hmm.

00:04:55 - 00:04:56 | Speaker 6:

Did you have your pinky up when you said it?

00:04:57 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 7:

Absolutely. But you need to know that we were the trash.

00:05:00 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 3:

ash of sylvania and we were the reason why all of our neighbors hated us and it was just like we've always been trash okay we've always been those people with cars all over the place it's just who we are and you can't change us so when i moved into my current house the biggest mission we had was to not be the trash of the neighborhood and my brother thinks that if we get this above ground pool that we are quickly going to start filling our yard with all sorts of different things which would take us right back to the path of being the neighbors nobody wants and so he's very cognizant of the fact that like we don't really spend a lot of time outside because we don't want to be loud and annoy people and we don't want to be you know a disturbance and he thinks that if we get a pool that's going to be the case but i just i really want to pull so we literally were like we never really have serious fights we were yelling at each other yesterday about this. Because I was like, it's in the cart. I'm going to buy it. And he started doing the whole, well, I'm not going to set it up, so you're just going to have a box of a pool for eight years.

00:06:03 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 1:

And I was like, well, that's pretty fair. Is this one of those inflatable, like, big pools that they have? Because I noticed... Casco has those. Because when I think of in-ground pools, I think of, we had a neighbor that had an in-ground pool, and it was like a professionally done in-ground pool that had a deck and everything. I'm sorry, an above. I'm sorry, an above-ground pool.

00:06:23 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 3:

So this is like part inflatable part, it has like an exoskeleton. That's the best way I can describe it. Where did you get that from? Amazon, baby. You can find anything on Amazon. So at the end of the year, you take it down? I don't. Well, you're probably supposed to. At the end of the summer, I mean. I absolutely would not. This is me. Absolutely not. That's way too much work. So what I've done is because he wouldn't set it up and I was trying to bribe him and he was like, I'm never going to set it up for you. You're going to have to hire somebody else to do it. And we both know I'm too lazy to do that i got very spiteful and instead i ordered like seven baby pools on amazon to be delivered to the house because he was also really mad he takes care of the grass like the grass is his baby the yard is his thing he's very proud of it and he was like you're gonna kill my grass that i've worked three years on to shave blah blah blah so now i'm gonna kill as much of grass as i possibly can because i'm vindictive ow i i i kind of i kind of like this i honestly

00:07:26 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 1:

kind of like this and i think that this might be able to get us invited to her house no it won't for a pool partner guys you don't think so why no who has a pool and doesn't have people over

00:07:36 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 3:

to enjoy it no i'd invite other people over i wouldn't invite you guys over well if you get

00:07:41 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 1:

the mini pools we'll all have our very own exactly but here's the problem you'd have to go

00:07:47 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 3:

through my house to get to the pools and nobody's going through my house do you ever do that that

00:07:52 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 1:

by the way do you ever do that with the mini pools where you just sit on your driveway and like you sun in the mini pool that's when you know by the way that your neighbors hate you

00:07:59 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 3:

when you do that well that's why i'm buying it so thank you for reinforcing that i am the neighbor

00:08:04 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 1:

nobody wants yeah i'm looking at this looking at these pools these pools look nice how do you get Get into the pool, though. Do they have, like, a ladder? Yeah, baby.

00:08:14 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 3:

All the neighbors got to watch my little booty up in the air trying to climb over a plastic rail. Sexy.

00:08:21 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 1:

Hold on a second. Peggy says there's a way to do this without upsetting your brother's beautiful lawn. What's that, Peggy?

00:08:30 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 2:

Does she have a driveway? Just get one of those big, not-too-deep blow-up ones.

00:08:35 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. That's what she's kind of talking about getting anyway. Put it in the driveway, you're saying?

00:08:40 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but not a real deep one. One you can just lay in and get cooled off and have some sun.

00:08:46 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 1:

You can't jump into one of the driveway ones, though. You'll break your neck on the driveway.

00:08:50 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 2:

That's right. Does she want to jump in it or just lay in it?

00:08:52 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 3:

I just want to lay and tan. But here's the thing. My brother was like, get a lawn chair, tan. I hate the summer, and I hate being hot. I need to be in water. Yeah. Yeah, I have to be in water.

00:09:04 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 2:

Look out, they're like just so big, like maybe two feet deep, just enough to get in it and lay in it.

00:09:12 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 1:

How many people can you fit in it, though? That's the thing. You want to be able to have a couple in there.

00:09:17 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 2:

It depends on what size you get. They have all sizes.

00:09:20 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Is that, by the way, more WT to have it in your driveway?

00:09:27 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, then my neighbors can see me. Really? Well, then that's, if you don't have a deck or anything. Well, just accept the fact that you're white trash, all right? Take a look at yourself.

00:09:38 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I don't know. I think that that might upset some of the neighbors. First off, they never see Megan, and then all of a sudden it's like going from never seeing her to now she's having pool parties on her driveway. Well, how Midwest is it, too, that you're so worried about upsetting your neighbors by being outside? That is true. Donnie, what's going on?

00:10:00 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 7:

mojo in the morning what do you think about this megan wants to get an above ground pool

00:10:03 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 5:

hi good morning i just want to say first off welcome to the show kev appreciate it um and i just say megan don't do it who's gonna take care of it oh yeah i mean i'd like but we

00:10:18 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 3:

all know that's not gonna happen but if i don't spend that much money on anymore yes yes but But hear me out. Hear me out. Think of the clicks I could get on a YouTube video. I'm so sick of it that I slash the side. It floods all the neighbor's yards. And then it just kind of deteriorates. Well, it's plastic. It just sits in the backyard for years.

00:10:40 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 5:

Instead of buying a pool, put that money towards your student loan. No. Whoa.

00:10:45 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 3:

How dare you? How dare you? How dare you?

00:10:49 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 7:

By the way, Donnie, thank you, by the way, for keeping her on the straight and narrow. I know you're a fan.

00:10:54 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 3:

I love you, Donnie. No, Donnie. I love you, guys.

00:10:56 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 7:

Take care of yourself. You know what the craziest is with having a pool like this? It becomes the polar plunge in the beginning because when you're filling it up, man, it's cold. Yep, yep. And then it doesn't warm up for days, maybe weeks, and then you've got to start thinking about chlorine and stuff because you don't want it to, like, turn brown and ugly and it become like a pond. I mean, there's a lot of things that go into this. Mark, what are your thoughts on this?

00:11:24 - 00:11:43 | Speaker 1:

My thoughts are she should definitely not get the pool. Like you just said, there's chemicals you have to put in every week. You have to constantly be cleaning it. There's water bugs that I didn't even know that live in your pool if you don't have the right chlorine in it. After half a year of having it, we tore it down and never put it back up. Well, is it for sale?

00:11:44 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 2:

Because I know someone who will buy it.

00:11:47 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 1:

No, you don't have it anymore.

00:11:49 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 7:

But, but, but, think about this, though. think if Megan gets one of these things, gets one of these like pools, it will get her outside more off of her couch and stop and watch

00:12:01 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 3:

all these documentaries. No, no, no. I just watch them

00:12:03 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 1:

on my phone outside. If Megan gets to school she's going to be breeding bugs all season. Oh, yeah. The mosquitoes

00:12:09 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 7:

will be bad if it just sits out there.

00:12:11 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 1:

And the water bug?

00:12:13 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 7:

Yes, yes. Yeah, that's I never thought about that.

00:12:16 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 3:

Okay, what if I bought like 7,000 pounds of salt and just turned it into one of those floating pools. I don't think it works like that.

00:12:23 - 00:12:28 | Speaker 7:

Well, it's a nice stranger thing. Marlene says a better idea than a pool is what?

00:12:29 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, lovelies. Good morning. I say, I stopped with the boo thing, so now you guys are my lovelies. I say get a hot tub because pretty soon you are going to be of the age where no matter what, the pool water is going to be too cold and you're not going to want to get in. It doesn't matter.

00:12:47 - 00:12:52 | Speaker 7:

I've always thought a hot tub would be fun Wouldn't that be fun, Megan?

00:12:52 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 4:

And you can use it all year round That's true You can have company over at night And you can get a laptop and put it next to it And still watch your Netflix And chill in the hot tub

00:13:04 - 00:13:11 | Speaker 7:

Think about this, Megan I think Sean would want the hot tub Your brother would want the hot tub Then he and his girlfriend can sit there and hot tub together

00:13:11 - 00:13:13 | Speaker 2:

Then Megan's not getting it after

00:13:13 - 00:13:38 | Speaker 3:

Absolutely not And it's easier update okay yes agreed but i think you think i'm in a different tax bracket than i am and hot tub's very expensive okay so they have the blow up ones at casco that's what i'm talking about here's the thing you forget that my house was built in 1944 wiring terrible you don't think i actually already looked into this i have to pay an electrician to fix my wiring to get a hot tub It's expensive.

00:13:39 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 4:

But the upkeep of a pool over the years will be way more expensive than upkeep of a house. But I'm not going to upkeep it.

00:13:52 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 7:

It's like everything. You buy it, and you use it once, and then that's pretty much it. What's going on, Courtney?

00:13:59 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 6:

Hi. It's Megan's future best friend, Courtney.

00:14:03 - 00:14:04 | Speaker 5:

Aw.

00:14:04 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 6:

Hello. Sorry. Anyways, I support Megan getting a pool, first of all. You can make your brother clean it. Also, if you don't want to do, like, an above-ground pool, we are looking into getting one at Walmart. I think they're out there for, like, $50 or $60. And they have, like, chairs in them that you can sit in.

00:14:22 - 00:14:28 | Speaker 2:

It's inflatable. What? We're all on Walmart.com right now. That happened real fast.

00:14:28 - 00:14:37 | Speaker 6:

It's pretty big. And my 2-year-old, like, goes crazy in her little baby pool. So I was like, let's get her something bigger. And I found one with like four seats And I was like yep let's do it

00:14:37 - 00:14:39 | Speaker 7:

That's awesome

00:14:39 - 00:14:42 | Speaker 6:

Look at this thing

00:14:42 - 00:14:43 | Speaker 7:

This is fire

00:14:43 - 00:14:45 | Speaker 3:

Wait we're getting this

00:14:45 - 00:14:54 | Speaker 7:

And deal is That you won't be out that much money when your brother says He won't set it up for you Because you know you're going to need your brother to set it up for you

00:14:54 - 00:14:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah let's be honest

00:14:55 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 7:

Jody says there's a better option to this And that is What is We'll see you next time.

00:15:00 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 8:

What should Megan do?

00:15:02 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 6:

Hi, I'm a first-time caller, long-time listener. Yay. Megan, I completely understand. I love the sun. I'm off in Toledo. I hate being hot. There are so many apartment complexes, and you can just walk right up to them. And back up, you live there and hang out. And as soon as somebody questions you, you just find another one.

00:15:26 - 00:15:35 | Speaker 7:

What if we did this? What if we did the tour day apartment pools and we get a group of people going and we just crash pools all summer?

00:15:35 - 00:15:39 | Speaker 8:

Is this Jade? No, this is Jodi. Jodi, yes.

00:15:39 - 00:15:42 | Speaker 6:

Jodi, you do this? Yeah, I have done it before.

00:15:44 - 00:15:45 | Speaker 8:

Where'd you go? Yeah, where have you gone?

00:15:46 - 00:15:54 | Speaker 6:

Oh, well, there's like Jamesford Plaza that has a great pool. There's another one over by UT that has a great one.

00:15:54 - 00:15:59 | Speaker 8:

What do you do when people come up to you And ask you what apartment you live in

00:15:59 - 00:16:02 | Speaker 6:

Oh nobody does Nobody cares

00:16:02 - 00:16:09 | Speaker 8:

I feel like it's the club mentality You just walk in like you own the place You know what you're doing You know everybody Nobody's going to question you

00:16:09 - 00:16:15 | Speaker 7:

Yeah but I'm going to go hang out Where the college kids are swimming Absolutely not That would hurt my soul

00:16:15 - 00:16:15 | Speaker 8:

Yeah

00:16:15 - 00:16:18 | Speaker 7:

Are you scouting these places Or are you just popping up

00:16:18 - 00:16:27 | Speaker 6:

Well I mean This was a few years ago When I did it like pre-COVID I was a little younger, you know, but now I have friends with pools.

00:16:29 - 00:16:34 | Speaker 8:

By the way, that might be the better option for Megan, friends with pools. Let's just find them.

00:16:35 - 00:16:38 | Speaker 6:

There are some you can pay like a small fee, like $2 to go to.

00:16:38 - 00:16:45 | Speaker 8:

Do you ever notice, by the way, friends with pools and friends with boats, and you only call them around this time of the year, right?
