world cup 2026 had a fun weekend uh we all got together uh on saturday night and uh had fun getting a chance to to all kind of be together even though shannon had and she'll talk about this this morning shannon had a weekend in the emergency room in the ar and you gotta love when you're a parent and you, your kid is faced with this and you're there in the ER the entire weekend and all you want is them to be better. So we'll talk more about that. And Smith is doing okay

today. He's doing a lot better today. And I have to tell you, I feel like I cursed myself because when I walked out of this studio on Friday, I said to you guys, I am so excited to have a weekend of nothing. I have a free weekend. This never happens. And it did not turn out that way.

Well, you're a great mom, and we love Smith, and we'll talk more about that in a second. I can tell you this. The hangover that I had from Friday and Saturday was not a good one. Like yesterday, I actually did the whole, I'm never drinking ever again. I said that. The way your eyes looked on Saturday when I looked at your pictures that you took on Friday? I was glossy. I was hurting. He had a time. But it was fun. It was fun to get to spend time with everybody and get a chance to all just kind of be together. So that was neat. Megan, you had kind of a crazy thing happen to you. Megan, and I don't think that it was from anything other than what the circumstances, but you got locked out of your apartment this weekend.

I did. I was so angry on Saturday. I could not believe how long our dinner took. I had people staying with me this weekend And I said 8 million times I swear to God I'll be back in like 2 and a half hours I'll be back in like 2 and a half hours I think it took 2 and a half hours Just to place our order On Saturday

Think we didn't leave dinner Until 3 and a half hours after we got there

It was 6.30, and I got home by 10.30, so it wasn't that crazy. It didn't feel that long. Really? Like, I didn't think it was that long, but maybe it was the company. That's absolutely what it was.

I was counting every minute. It felt like a year. And I kept texting everybody, and I was like, I'm so sorry. Like, I'll be back in a little bit because I left my keys there so that they could get in and out of my place because I only have one set of keys. And by the time I got back to my apartment, they had fallen asleep. So I was locked out of my apartment calling a million times. It was freezing outside and, yeah, got completely locked out.

So who is in your apartment? Who is hanging at your apartment? My brother. Oh, okay. Because you're saying everyone. I'm going, oh, is there something that Megan's not telling us? Who's the everybody?

but it was your brother and so your brother was home in your apartment and he didn't uh keep the

door unlocked for you or how does that work i can't he can't keep the door unlocked remember there's like 17 locks before you get to my door so like you you can't prop them all open uh probably

wouldn't work out doesn't it suck when you get locked out of your own place which by the way it feels to me like there's a need for a second key in this place i'd agree i am but remember the

crazy process that she'd have to go through to get a second

key. You have to go through illegal processes, bro, at this point. We are not going

Oh, a scan card.

I have a scan card. I think you can dupe them, too. I think now it is key fobs, everything. Get it 3D printed and then talk to Mark McEvich. Tell me the process again because we have talked about this before, about you wanting another key so that your brother doesn't have you don't have to like run downtown

to go let your brother in you have to scan into the front door you have to scan into the second door you have to scan into the elevator and then you have to use a key to get into the door okay

so what is the pro so the key to get into the door is an easy one you can go to home depot no

because they make the key thick so that you cannot get it copied okay well we got we got

locksmiths that are listening to the show um but what is what if you wanted one legally what's the

process he has to be added on to my lease which we're currently in the process of okay that is a

scam i'd put him on what does it take just uh filling out apps and things like that or like

250 bucks and a background check okay and then he has to be added will he pass the background check

yes okay because if you'll pass the background check 250 dollars i mean to me that saturday night is worth 250 dollars that you're not locked out of the place i agree because it was freezing

i was so mad how long were you were you out uh about 35 ish minutes okay this is not crazy but 35 minutes on a 40 degree night and a short sleeve sweater you had your legs on too yeah i was not and i was standing in heels i was so mad and he has been dropping the ball on this process he's had a lot of life changes in the past couple of weeks and so he's like oh i'm sorry i'll do it this weekend i'll do it this weekend my landlord has texted me like is he gonna fill out the application is he gonna fill out the paperwork i'm like i don't know and then when this happened i was like you're not allowed back over to my apartment with the kid like you'll be locked inside you cannot leave because i cannot trust you know what i think you need to do next time

a circumstance comes your brother's locked in you take the key with you and if he wants to leave he's screwed he's the one locked out you say to him all right if i'm leaving you're stuck in here you gotta uh you gotta stay inside this place you notice the punishment like you're a teenager again you're sent to your parents room you gotta teach corallon how to unlock doors that's that's the key Coraline, come down and let me out. Yep. I have a situation at my house where I don't even have a key to my house. I use codes and keypads and stuff. And I told Chelsea that we've been really blessed for so long. Because I think she's got the only key to our house. But we've been blessed for so long that the power hasn't gone out or anything like that. Because if that goes out.

If the power goes out, I cannot get into my house. That's so scary. That is. Y'all got to have a back. Because I only go in through my garage. That's the only door that I actually leave unlocked. and I don't have a key. So if my keypad in my garage goes out, I'm totally screwed.

That's crazy. I have vowed that if that happens, I know what window of my house I'm breaking. In my mind, I'm like, do you have a secret window? Oh, I've got a window that I'm just going to literally just go, this one will be the least costly. Knocking that sucker right out.

But then I can't sleep in a place with a broken window. So now I'm not sleeping there tonight.

See, I would just get a piece of cardboard from an Amazon delivery or something like that.

No way.

And pop it right over that thing. I'd rather have criminals in my house than be locked outside and stuck outside. I felt like that was one of the cases. One time I took the dogs out, and then Chelsea forgot that I was outside taking the dogs out. So she locked the door, the front door. So I'm outside going, I can't get in. What's going on? What's happening here? And so I pound on the door and knock on it, and then finally, of course, use the garage. Guess what? Yeah. She knew. You think that was her way? She did that on purpose. Yeah. So I left my keys at home one day because I went out of town. And I come back from the weekend. Of course, the person that was home wasn't home. But I was locked out of my apartment and had to pay a service fee for someone to come open my door. Oh, my God.

Yeah, so there's a fee that's during the day, and then there's a fee that's at night or on the weekend.

What's the difference in price of the night's weekend?

It's $50 if it's during the day, and I think it's $250.

the after all rates is that kind of similar to you poncho not quite that expensive but i think it was 50 bucks to let me in over the weekend holy crap that's right and again that was your fault or somebody else that not didn't let you in or whatever a little bit of both okay all right i'm telling you i always believe that you got to have like the key hidden somewhere thing you know

what i mean yeah i got and you're like megan megan's tough to do that mine would be like for

you i'd put it in my jeep or something i would like i would keep it inside the car or whatever or you need to have like somebody that's your your backup plan downtown like maybe that with the radio station moving down there you put it in a cube or something yeah well i've also found out

now that um those keys are all so temperature dependent oh like i left my parking so i have a scan card to get into here a scan card for my parking garage and a scan card for my building They all look the same. It's infuriating how similar they all are. And it's three separate ones that are not interchangeable. And I used to leave my parking one in my car. And if it got too hot or too cold, it didn't work.

Hey, you guys are talking about this. And Friday night I accidentally went outside and I shut my slider and it locked.

I was in my underwear. Oh, no. I felt like I was in my underwear with health. All I did is I started pulling hard on the slider, and all of a sudden I guess I broke the locking on it and I had to replace it on Saturday. But I didn't care because being out in my underwear at the condos would not have been a good thing.
