Home of the phone scams, the war of the roses, and the dirty on the 30. This is Mojo in the Morning. Megan, you there? Yeah. I thought you weren't going to answer me. I was going to say, Wow, she's not here.

00:01:53 - 00:01:55 | Speaker 1:

Usually you just start, I don't want to talk over you.

00:01:55 - 00:01:55 | Speaker 6:

Oh, no.

00:01:56 - 00:01:57 | Speaker 1:

I was being polite. You're so nice.

00:01:57 - 00:01:58 | Speaker 6:

Thank you.

00:01:58 - 00:02:03 | Speaker 1:

Sometimes you also take Megan callers and you don't say listen to Megan. And then I talk and I go, oh, what's that?

00:02:03 - 00:02:10 | Speaker 6:

Well, we can't see each other. People don't realize this because, you know, you're in Toledo, Mike's in Grand Rapids, and the rest of us are all in the Detroit area.

00:02:10 - 00:02:15 | Speaker 1:

I think people are actually shocked that we don't see each other. I know. It's wild. A really long telephone call every day.

00:02:15 - 00:02:21 | Speaker 6:

We listen like you listen. So he was shoveling with what?

00:02:21 - 00:02:49 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so I'm genuinely surprised that the McJeans have not caused us all to just die of stupidity. And I say that so lovingly towards my father. But really, could I not have gotten some better genes? Some no acne in my adulthood would be appreciated, but I digress. I was looking out the window during that big snowstorm that we've been having over the past couple of days. Have I been taking care of my driveway? No, I'm a lady. I don't do that.

00:02:50 - 00:02:52 | Speaker 6:

Eventually, it will melt, right?

00:02:52 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 1:

I know. Yes. And until then, I'm going to fall on the ice no matter if I take care of it or not. So why put in the effort? It's not going to change the fact that I'm going to fall on my ass. But I did look out the window to see my brother shoveling my driveway because he is the only good member of our family. And I did notice something very interesting because the man was wearing snow pants. And I was like, oh, that's good. And then I looked down at his feet, and here's where the genetics play into this. he was decidedly wearing Crocs while struggling with my job, right? Oh, my gosh. And I thought, well, at least he's got them in sport mode, so safety first, safety first. And they're bright orange, fluorescent orange, so when he falls into the snow pile, I'll be able to find his feet. It's great, it's great. But on his top half, he was wearing the thinnest white undershirt I had ever seen in my entire life, and it was five degrees outside. And why do guys wear T-shirts and shorts in the snow?

00:03:50 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 6:

Did you have a talk with Chelsea, my wife, over the weekend? Because I came inside from taking the dogs out, and I walk in and I go, I just, it's horrible. I just can't stand this cold. It's so awful. And she looks at my feet, and I have slides on. And she goes, hey, genius, why are you wearing slides?

00:04:08 - 00:04:40 | Speaker 1:

Again, to play into the fact that it's amazing that we're all still alive, My brother's go-to choice for footwear in the winter is a different pair of Crocs. Now, these are his formal Crocs because they don't have holes in them. They're made out of fabric. They're hemp. They're hemp. He's like, I'm all about the earth, Mother Nature. Yes, Queen God. He bought them in his vegan phase. So if that reminds you of any place where his head was, that's where it was. But he melted the bottom of these shoes at a bonfire. So they have zero traction. It's like a dolphin under there, just slick. And he goes, these are my winter shoes.

00:04:40 - 00:04:44 | Speaker 6:

But they do have cloth, so they're keeping his feet warm.

00:04:45 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 1:

Well, they get soaked. Yeah, I was going to say they absorb a lot of the water.

00:04:50 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

Hold on. I'm Googling this right now. And I should just call your dad because your dad will be able to tell me. Do they have winter Crocs? I'm looking it up right now.

00:05:00 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 3:

Like boots. Do they have Crocs? They have Crocs boots, don't they? They do. Because I feel like I've seen them with kids.

00:05:04 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah, look at this. Crocs classic boots. They look like the moon boots I used to wear when I was a kid in school. They're called neon puff. Is it puff? Yeah, P-U-F-F. Puff? Puff. Oh, puff. Oh, puff. Puff. Wow. They call it neon...

00:05:24 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 1:

Let's never mix Mojo's jeans and my family's jeans. He's screwed.

00:05:30 - 00:05:30 | Speaker 4:

Hi, family.

00:05:32 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 3:

You need to get these for him.

00:05:34 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 4:

And ready for this? They come in black, white, oh, God, or canary.

00:05:40 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, look at the hot pink ones.

00:05:41 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 6:

They're as ugly as the Uggs boots that became a nationwide trend.

00:05:44 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 3:

I know, don't you dare say anything bad about Uggs. I still have the same pair from when I was in college.

00:05:50 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 6:

Oh, they must smell lovely.

00:05:52 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 3:

I do. I don't even care. I love them. Also, no traction. Zero. Worst boots to wear in the winter.

00:05:59 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 4:

They used to have a Crocs store at 12 Oaks.

00:06:02 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 3:

I know, you made me go in there.

00:06:03 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 4:

Remember, that was a great store. It was a great experience for you.

00:06:06 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 6:

I don't know if I'd say it's a great store. It exists. I don't think they have it, though, here anymore, do they? It's over by the food court.

00:06:13 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I'll have to see if they're still there. I'm going to go in, and I'm going to get Sean a pair of Crocs boots.

00:06:20 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 1:

No, thank you. Yeah, it's still there. We have enough Crocs in our house.

00:06:23 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 6:

Crocs at 12 Oaks opened in 18 minutes, everybody.

00:06:26 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 4:

All right, we've got to find that out. My son yesterday ripped on me when I had to go take him to get his phone fixed at Apple. We had to wait a little bit, so we're walking around, and I walked into the... Is it the Echo store? What's the shoe store?

00:06:41 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 3:

The E-C-C-O. Yeah.

00:06:43 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 4:

I'm afraid now to pronounce anything. Do they sell poofs? And we walked in there, and he leans over to me as I'm looking at the shoes, and I'm going, oh, these are really nice. These are really nice. And he goes, these are old people shoes. They are.

00:06:57 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 2:

I always think they are, aren't they?

00:06:59 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 4:

But they're so comfortable, though. It's like Crocs. Crocs are, well, Crocs really aren't old people's shoes, Sean.

00:07:05 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 1:

Yes, no, they are.

00:07:06 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 4:

Your brother's a young man. They're just a disappointment.

00:07:09 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 1:

He's old. Very old.

00:07:10 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 4:

He's old, yeah. Yeah, he's appreciating this right now.

00:07:14 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 6:

So I always look at that story and go, how do they stay in business and pay rent in the mall? And then I realized they're selling a 16-cent chunk of plastic for $40. There you go. Of course they can pay the rent in the mall.

00:07:25 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 1:

Do you want to know how much of the Mick family contributes to that business? Too much. Too much.

00:07:30 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Do you get the gibbets for the winter crafts or just for the summer crafts?

00:07:34 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 1:

You don't think that my dad's stocking stuffers this year were gibbets? Damn, the size of my snow angel is more proof that I need to get to Planet Fitness more often. This is Mojo in the Morning.
