yeah i had to think about it yes i had to think about it i went to do two different colleges i went to bowling green right and then ut can you name either of their mascots oh i do uh i love how you guys are so proud of me i know that i knew it what wait real quick so did you get kicked out of bowling green and that's why you went to ut no i loved bg i loved bg so much but i actually want to be close i got when i got hired to the radio station full time i i switched schools to make things easier bg's kind of far out from me it was like a 45 minute drive And I was commuting.

Every day, that'd be crazy.

So you were on campus, and you were doing some, what, social posts and stuff? Or is it Celsius?

Yeah, I don't know if you know this, but I am, I'm sorry. I was trying to be serious there for a second. I want to be like, I'm an influencer. I am not. I am the farthest thing from. Yeah, you are. No, not really. And I learned that lesson kind of the hard way yesterday. So we were out at the campus of UT, go Rockets. and i was sitting literally in the middle of the quad there's a the giant school seal you know all the rumors you gotta walk around it counterclockwise until after you graduate you're gonna fail all your classes so we're we're sitting around that but the way ut is set up um their main campus is like a giant circle so all the buildings are in a giant circle there's like a spoke wagon wheel does that make sense yeah yeehaw okay uh set up in the uh sidewalks and so everything kind of cuts through campus we're sitting literally in the middle and we're filming tiktoks and we're being funny we're being so i had never been so disrespected by 18 to 22 year olds in my entire life because when i told you the dirty looks i received the i can't even call it cat calling i was yelled at but not in a positive i'd like to take you out way but in a you're too old to be here what are you doing kind of way and it was a big slap in the face that i uh i'm not on the cusp i i'm not you guys I've learned my lesson. I'm a full millennial because these kids thought I was very out of touch and very not cool, and I had never been more embarrassed in my entire life, especially because I consume a lot of TikToks. I love TikTok. It is my new favorite social media platform. I see people vlogging out in public all the time. They're at restaurants. They're on campuses. They're on cruises.

Does that make you cool with the youths to be watching TikTok?

Well, I tried, but I will never, ever film in public again. I will never, ever do it. I don't know how people do it.

So are you coming around to me in regards to saying that the teens and 20-somethings, what generation are they?

They're Gen Z. Gen Z. They're who I look up to.

They don't care about anybody. Are you in there?

And I respect that about them.

Yes, because here you are. You're trying to get them to be part of your role. Yes, and nobody wanted to talk to us. And nobody wants to play it.

And that they should be excited to see you? One dude was like, how many social media followers do you have? Which is an awkward question. Because if I say a lot, it sounds conceited. And if I say a little, it sounds like I'm desperate. So there's no right answer.

And if you say good morning to someone, they'd get shocked. They'd look up like, huh, what?

I saw a kid put in his headphones when he saw me talking to somebody. And I was like, you didn't pull up a playlist that fast. I know you can hear me, but you put them in to ignore me.

So, I know my friend's listening, too. I have a 22-year-old friend named Megan. I'm 32. But I know she would claim you as a Gen Z because we talk about you all the time. Thank you.

I'm a senior there. and me and my uh me and my fiance were walking down uh walking down the street one time at night and this car of frat it was a completely empty street until this car of frat guy came driving by and he screamed at us like ew a couple and then they just kept driving you a couple that's what they said yeah they said ew a couple they just kept driving now let me just speak for the

youths on one I don't know if I can defend or not because you know I've it's been maybe three years since I've been at a college but um don't laugh but sorry the life of a college student can feel like pure chaos I mean managing classes and a job and an internship and social events and sleep and then you don't even have much personal time and I only know this from talking to my daughter every night that it can get a little pressure on there so when you're just trying to get to your class that you woke up late for and you realize you don't have your paper done and you're walking and all of a sudden you look up and you see two girls tiktok dancing with cans of product and

they're trying to allure you into their world but they are giving you three i remember going on i remember going on uh michigan's campus actually i'm sorry no it was oakland use campus and we were doing a thing uh for craft macaroni and cheese and we had boxes of craft macaroni and cheese i felt like i was getting pummeled by people because they wanted them so bad if you guys go out there with cans of celsius you would think that they would be attacking you for
