That's adult. priorities suck by the way um and also when did streaming services become so astronomically expensive because at this point listen i'm very very happy that i live in downtown detroit now it comes with so many great opportunities and experiences i'm very happy but it also comes with some very dumb things i have to be responsible for like paying for a parking spot makes me angrier than i can even explain the fact that i have to pay to park my car that's not even attached to my building it's blocks away and then walk to my apartment drives me up a wall so i was trying to justify i was doing some girl math trying to figure out how to essentially make my parking spot free because it makes me so angry and i decided the best way to do that because i'm so disappointed in streaming services is to just cut the cord on so many of them really and i have canceled i'm not kidding you me the girl who loves movies and television has canceled every single streaming service every one of them every single apple tv gone hulu gone netflix gone hbo gone showtime all of it gone gone gone gone peacock uh so everything is gone you're being responsible that's amazing and i thought i was really gonna feel like i was missing out like Especially during COVID, we all talked about the Tiger King and Joe. There were show after show after show where everybody was watching. And I was like, man, I'm going to feel so out of the loop. We?

have not had any of that. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything.

Actually, it's funny because somebody was telling me that because of that strike that happened, the entertainment strike that happened, that there's really not a lot to stream. Nothing that's really that exciting to do. It's funny that here you are. You're cutting all this stuff out and you're really not missing it. This is from a woman. This woman, literally, we had to pry her away from her television just to show up to work i mean it was it was her her life support i agree

before i had a baby that was me so i so i was wondering i mean and it's good that you say this i'm wondering from our listeners i wonder what is it that you just recently either got rid of or dumped what did you give up that suddenly has turned into you're saving a whole bunch of money because you did that because i hear different stories all the time of people that are like i have given up like you said the streaming services and then i'll hear and you know another story it's like i have given up my morning coffee and now i'm going and i'm making it at home and then i'll hear how much money they're saving which would you share with the listeners how much money

The crazy thing about that is that was the point of having a streaming service because cable was so expensive. Now, all of a sudden, streaming service is more expensive than cable. And nine times out of ten, you only use five, especially like Hulu Live. The only reason I got that is so I can watch TNT for basketball. And that was really it. So there's really no a la carte service where I can be like, I only want TNT, HBO, and da, da, da, da, da.

cable and honestly it's it's wild i'm doing deals now talking to my xfinity of twenty dollars a month you know what i mean and even if even if you do that for a few months you're think of all the money that you're saving yeah and the problem is that you know a lot of times we thought that this was going to be so much savings and like you said you have to get like three of them because You've got three different shows.

And they're all putting ads on now. It used to just be straight streaming.

So Megan was just talking the other day about how her and her brother watch movies and stuff before the one award thing that it was.

Her brother, why don't they just split subscriptions of certain things that they may want or need? Because that's what I do with my mom. My mom pays for half of her subscriptions. I pay for the other half. and then I'm not getting screwed out of all that money and neither is my mom.

So what I have found now is either the password sharing, it'll stop you or it knows my IP address is in a different city. Like my Hulu will straight up be like, this isn't where you live. I know that this isn't you. And it won't let you log in. It's getting harder and harder to share those accounts. And what I've noticed really is that it hasn't been that big of a deal like at the court.

I hate because I bought Hulu for Jacob and i want to watch hulu and it does the whole thing is this your home now and then it screws him when i do it they should they shouldn't you know they got too fancy on us i agree hungry kevin what'd you give up and uh and are you saving some money i am so i stopped eating out

for lunch i would spend 20 to 30 bucks every lunch and i just went and bought like canned soup and stuff that I can eat in my office and spend, I think, like $25 altogether for two weeks' worth
