So, Megan, what happened to your groceries?

Oh, okay. Let me tell you, because I put on my detective glasses, because we've got an investigation to begin, ladies and gentlemen, because I think I've been robbed, and it all had to do with me ordering groceries yesterday. What I tell you, I was trying to get my hands on these groceries for about four hours. Really? I placed an order through a grocery store, and it was for delivery, not for pickup. And that grocery store uses a third-party delivery service. I'm getting updates. My shopper has arrived. My shopper will let me know if there's anything they need swapped out. My shopper is checking out, was a notification that I got. And then I was like, oh, they're checking out. This grocery store is about 10 minutes from me. So it'll be probably 20 minutes, right? An hour goes by. I check my grocery store app It says they've been delivered Hmm interesting

Like put out in front of your house Delivered like did they put did they do the picture Thing where they show you a picture

Which is where my first Aha moment came Because I realized the groceries Have never arrived When I found out that they hadn't arrived I went back into the grocery store app It did say delivered And I was getting a little bit frustrated And I said oh my god I think I think my driver just stole my groceries. So I did a little bit of digging. I called the third-party service, and I said, hey, my groceries say that they've been delivered. I checked they haven't been. I do have, like, a camera doorbell. So it's not like they came, like, they never came. Yeah. And they said, interesting. Our report said that your grocery store caught on fire, so they couldn't finish the delivery. Wait a second.

Wait, what? Wow.

And I went, hmm. didn't hear about this immediately pulled open my phone and i did some googling i was like well i don't think there was a fire they said ah fire or power outage and i said you know what that actually kind of maybe maybe they did lose power and she couldn't check out and she had to cancel the order okay so then i call the grocery store and i go excuse me hello hello grocery store knock knock hello uh quick question was there a fire in your building today and the girl was like uh no i was like all right cool didn't think so second question follow-up was there a power on it and she said i've been here since two no and uh they just kept sending me back and forth back and forth here's what i think had happened i got pretty normal groceries i didn't get anything crazy i was just kind of stacking up on the essentials i think my driver went through did my grocery shopping checked out then canceled the order afterwards so i could get a refund and

took my groceries on for free uh-oh uh-oh uh-oh how first off how do you get somebody on the

phone when you call because i've had that was my first question let me tell you how many hours i

spend on the phone well i've had issues with these with uh the delivery people services and i never see like the phone but what i end up doing is i end up just

in it and it will say, do you want a refund back? DoorDash does actually a really good job of

refunding you. They refund you immediately. I'm very impressed with that part of their customer service. Yeah. And I don't use this third-party service. So then I had to create an account to see if I could get notifications and I couldn't. And I was on the phone with robots for over an hour yesterday just going operator, operator, operator. At one point we were on hold at the grocery store for 20 minutes and I said, we could have driven there. and talked to them at the customer service desk before they even picked up the phone. I was losing my mind yesterday.

So, Megan's done this before. She's been on the other end of this. It's just got me. I mean, yeah, karma was seeking her revenge.

No, I knew what he was saying, but when it's a parent, it's not called stealing.

Wait, you're talking about when Megan would go to her dad's house and shop out of his cupboards and refrigerator and cabinets and things like that.

But the difference is my father chose to have a child, and it's his responsibility to keep me alive, and that also means feeding me, which means me stealing his groceries.

This is God's way of paying you back for all the stuff that you've ever taken from anybody.

It's probably still painful for him.

Can I just tell you, though, that I don't know where you went, and I don't know if you want to even say.

No, I'm not going to.

Okay. Well, let me say this. Sometimes you say it on the radio, and guess what? You get it done faster. But I will tell you that I used to do the Instacart thing all the time. and I still do it for, like, Costco because Costco doesn't have a delivery. But I started doing that Kroger delivery thing, and that Kroger delivery thing has actually been, like, a godsend to me. Which, by the way, I'm going to get us a tour of the Kroger delivery fulfillment plant. Do you know that it's robots that fill your bag in boxes and stuff?

I didn't realize that they didn't just go to, like, the store closest.

No, they do it from the fulfillment, so that's why they never run out of stuff. But Rachel's going to try to give us a tour. I told her, I said, we would go crazy over that. to see the robots going all over the place. Is it like WALL-E robots, like Iron Legend robots? No way. She wouldn't show me a picture or do anything like that. She just told me that that was the case and then said to me, wait, maybe if you guys are good, we will give you guys a tour. No, she didn't say that part.

The saddest part is that the robot does a better job at picking the perfect avocado than I do on my own.

So I wanted to tell Megan that it happens all the time. Drivers steal groceries all the time. I actually work for Spark. That delivers for Walmart. And it happens all the time. I talk to the Spencers all the time, and people come. I mean, they eventually get fired, but it happens all the time.

Wow. They take your groceries and just go home with them?

They just load them up. So there's two ways that it can happen. They can either go in and shop the groceries Like we do it ourselves and then we deliver it to you Or we sit out outside and they just bring it to our car And we deliver Either way they can just roll off with them They'll never come back They'll probably never do the job again It happens with Amazon Flex too

It's amazing to me though because don't they have the You have the driver's info to be able to know It's all tracked

Got all of our information Driver's license, social security number, bank account, everything It's insane, people are crazy

What's wild about that is if it's your last day at work You know, that's kind of like your last hurrah But I wonder if they'll just take your money from you

Yeah, and that's their payback

You can get $300 worth of groceries in your car And just go right home Oh, no, they did Just for that one time, you're done

So here's the thing. I'm a creamy girl, but I'll let you know that the grocery store brand is $2 cheaper than the name brand. So we were at a grocery store because it's all the same. Okay. Have you had the cinnamon toast crunch butter? What? No, but don't tell me.

Oh, it's so good. It's only $4.39 a tub.

But I never have it.

And also, you're going to get diabetes from it. When you said a tub, I went, ah, yes.

I like my food in tubs.

The worst part to shop for is hair care. And it's like they call it the G aisles with all the hair care deodorants. It's the worst part to shop for.

I did have tampons in there. I did have a box of tampons.

See, we've got to walk all the way to the other side of the store to get that. It's horrible.
