And if you do text us with a comment, know that we call back our text messengers and just say hey to you and then we'll ask you sometimes to come on the radio with us, too. Megan, who, for those that don't know, lives in the city, and she lives in an apartment, and she has told me from time to time that her apartment's really wild. Like, you can hear the people that are out partying on the streets sometimes, like when the Lions fans are going crazy. But you also said that your apartment is surprisingly quiet on the inside, I guess, huh?

00:04:47 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 4:

I get more noise from my windows than I do from my walls. It is really quiet. From the windows. In our apartment, it's very quiet.

00:04:54 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 3:

To the sweat rolling down my bowels. I wasn't going to say that. I got you. Go ahead.

00:05:00 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 1:

Megan, I'm sorry. So I was a little bit shocked yesterday when I heard a lot of noise coming from another apartment because it has to be very, very loud in order for that to happen. And I thought, honestly, this might be retaliation. I was known on that kind of noise. There must have been some sort of retaliation because let's be honest, I watched the Lions game pretty loud in my apartment. I was like, oh, maybe they're mad at me. Maybe they're playing something really loud to get back and i walk towards my front door because i can only really hear any noise from the hallway when i'm near my front door and i go there and i'm like why are they blaring this music i'd love for you to start playing the clip now because it's very very long and i want to get to the end of it but this is what i'm hearing and i realize when i hear the snap oh that's not music being played in the other apartment it's like a rehearsal for a music group wait wait hold on

00:05:56 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 2:

This is actually live music?

00:05:58 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, this is my neighbor.

00:05:59 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 2:

That's crazy.

00:06:00 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 1:

Hold on, it gets crazier. Right here. He has like a whole client and they're like harmonizing? Wait. I hear this in my apartment. It's recording. No. Listen, because he'll start giving them instructions. So I get so into this. wait these are people in their singing yes

00:06:26 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 2:

they're all harmonized i'm gonna stop for a second no well i'm gonna come back to it uh so this by the way the acoustics in this apartment are unbelievable well i went out to the hallway

00:06:39 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 1:

for this i sat in the hallway for like 10 minutes listening to them rehearse Until I realized it's probably A little creepy If they open up the door But I'm just kidding Who cares I'd do the same thing It was

00:06:53 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 2:

Beautiful

00:06:54 - 00:06:55 | Speaker 1:

That is amazing Wait

00:06:55 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 2:

It's very nice But wait Is it beautiful If you're trying to sleep

00:07:00 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 1:

What time was It's like 7pm

00:07:01 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 2:

Okay How does this guy Not get noise complaints Cause it's beautiful Cause it's beautiful Wait a second And you're telling me... He's like, please continue. Wait, now he's... Now he's doing this. Wait, did he just tell them something? He just told them something? Like he was a maestro in?

00:07:24 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and he just hit the most beautiful note. I feel like paralyzing at the end. It's just gorgeous. And I just literally sat out there for like 10 minutes just closing my eyes. I had to go for all. I want to dance all night, every time you're home, baby, what should be here for you? Literally, who are those people? I don't know. And I've been there like a year and a half now, and this is the first time I've ever heard it. and I got more angry that they probably lost their rehearsal space and somebody said, we'll just go back to my place. And I'm like, could you just rehearse there all the time? Like, don't rent a space. I'm not going to give you a noise complaint. Let me hang out and just listen.

00:08:25 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 2:

I think that, but I do, and I agree, it's wonderful.

00:08:30 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 1:

The way he says it is wonderful.

00:08:32 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 2:

But this is where the curmudgeon in me comes into play. that wonderful is uh relative based on what you're doing like it's seven o'clock at night if i want to take like an early nap or if i am trying to watch a nice movie in my my apartment or i am you know trying to uh just have peace and quiet i don't know if i necessarily want that it was

00:08:58 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 1:

probably earlier than seven because if i'm being honest i think i was asleep by 7 p.m last night so this might have been around six but i remember right after this i was like oh it's creepy if they opened the door I saw or I heard somebody walking towards the door and I ran into my apartment um and I was like it's it's creepy that I'm sitting out here I went to put my laundry away when I was in my bedroom I couldn't hear them like I only heard them because I was near my

00:09:20 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 2:

front door all right so here so here's a question for you 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 if the noise is and this is great if the noise is that if it's beautiful are you okay with it Yes. Or are you still going, I'm calling the apartment manager because I do not want to hear this. Because now you've just given this guy free reign. What if he's got a bad song in his repertoire? With that voice? Exactly.

00:09:46 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 1:

With that voice? No such thing. He can sing anything. I want to know what they're rehearsing for. Right?

00:09:50 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 2:

It has to be like a theater something.

00:09:52 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 1:

By the way, I would rather hear that all night long than people having sex. Yeah.

00:09:56 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Well, yeah. Okay. Well.

00:09:59 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

I really would.

00:10:00 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Chloe?

00:10:01 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 4:

Even if the sex is quiet sex, I'd rather hear that.

00:10:04 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 6:

What's going on, Chloe?

00:10:06 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 2:

Hi. I was just saying that that's what I want to hear every morning. That was amazing, and it gave me full-body chills.

00:10:16 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 6:

Really? So you thought that noise was so beautiful that you would have been happy with that. Would you be happy with that if that came at 3 o'clock in the morning when you're trying to sleep?

00:10:30 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 2:

Maybe not 3 o'clock in the morning, but 7 p.m. like Megan said. I would be all for that. Give me that every single day. Right.

00:10:37 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 6:

What night of the week was this?

00:10:39 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 7:

Last night.

00:10:40 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 6:

Okay, what if this was when the Lions game was on? Would you be upset?

00:10:43 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 7:

My TV's probably going to be louder.

00:10:45 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 6:

Really? Yeah. That was loud. For you to hear that thing that loud?

00:10:48 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 7:

But I was sitting. Here's what I will say. The only thing that sucks about my apartment are our doors. That's where the noise comes through is our doors. And I'm very lucky that I have an apartment in the front of my building. So I have a super long hallway from my front door to like my living space. I have to walk down a hallway to get to my area. And so I was just like putting my purse or something, my backpack for work by the front door in the morning. That's when I heard it. That's when I went into the hall and I sat next to this apartment door. That's why it's this loud. It wasn't this loud like in my living room.

00:11:23 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 6:

Erica, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. What do you think of Megan's loud neighbor?

00:11:28 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you know, I agree. They sound beautiful, but I still will complain because it is too loud. No. It's too loud. But it's not all the time, though. No. Yeah, but even still, it's the same if you were watching a loud movie. That's not all the time either, but if someone complained, they would have that right because it was too loud at that time. Even though it's beautiful, it's still loud.

00:11:49 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 7:

I thought noise ordinances were like from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

00:11:52 - 00:11:57 | Speaker 6:

What if you had a baby, though? Like, what if your baby was trying to sleep at that time? For sure, for sure. Ron, what's going on, Ron?

00:11:58 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 3:

How you doing, Mojo? It's Ron, the peanut butter fudge guy.

00:12:01 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 6:

Oh, hey, Ron. How are you? What's happening?

00:12:05 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 3:

I haven't talked to you in a year. I've been locked up.

00:12:08 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 7:

Oh, no, what'd you do, Ron? Was it the peanut butter?

00:12:12 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 3:

The fudge. Yeah, the peanut butter guy. Yeah.

00:12:14 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 4:

What did you do to get locked up?

00:12:17 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 3:

A couple DUIs. Oh, nice. Gotta lay off the fudge, Ron. I hope you learned your lesson, Ron. I wasn't drinking.

00:12:25 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 6:

Ticketfixpro.com, Ron. Ticketfixpro.com. What's going on?

00:12:29 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Nothing. Just glad to be out.

00:12:33 - 00:12:37 | Speaker 6:

What do you think of Megan's loud neighbors?

00:12:38 - 00:12:42 | Speaker 3:

I'd call the cops or I'd go beat her on the door and take care of it myself. Why?

00:12:43 - 00:12:45 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, see, that's the prison talk.

00:12:46 - 00:12:51 | Speaker 3:

That's just how I am. I was in the Air Force, and that's just how I am. I don't put up with that kind of crap.

00:12:51 - 00:13:13 | Speaker 6:

you just hate beautiful music yeah right ron uh what if the cellmate next to you is playing his music that loud uh what's up jayden how you doing hey how's it going good jayden what do you oh jayden this is an interesting one jayden's got a loud neighbor next to him and who is that loud

00:13:13 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 7:

neighbor that's a high school marching band oh i used to live near a high school i loved it what Well, is it a good marching band program or a bad marching band program?

00:13:24 - 00:13:25 | Speaker 5:

No, they're really good.

00:13:26 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 7:

It's so good.

00:13:27 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 4:

Some of them are squeaky.

00:13:28 - 00:13:38 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it's an apartment complex. And, I mean, they didn't mention it when we were moving in. But, yeah, I'll follow along. You'll hear the marching band. I love it. My neighbor doesn't, though.

00:13:39 - 00:13:43 | Speaker 6:

So, wait, do you hear the marching band, like, nonstop?

00:13:44 - 00:13:45 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, pretty much.

00:13:45 - 00:13:46 | Speaker 6:

What time of the day is that?

00:13:48 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 5:

I mean, I used to work remote. So, like, I would hear it almost all day long. Oh, my God. But now I just hear it, like, on Friday nights, super loud. And I'll open my sliding door because I love it so much. Wow.

00:13:58 - 00:14:08 | Speaker 6:

I don't know. To me, that would be, if I lived there and I had the marching band playing nonstop, I mean, I would be like, okay, hold on a second. The horn section is a little too loud for me.

00:14:11 - 00:14:14 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Yeah, they're super good, though, and they play, like, hit songs.

00:14:15 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 6:

How does that work? What was there first, the high school or the apartment complex? That's the thing you got to think about, right?

00:14:22 - 00:14:25 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I don't know, but the apartments aren't newer, so.

00:14:25 - 00:14:35 | Speaker 6:

We're all in this together once we know that we are. We're all stars and we see us all in this together. Can you imagine this every day?

00:14:36 - 00:14:43 | Speaker 4:

Well, if you would like a private cello concert, you could just come to my house. David, what's up?

00:16:26 - 00:16:31 | Speaker 8:

I would, by the way, have the hardest time with that. Could you imagine that? Your neighbors are karaoke here.

00:16:31 - 00:16:50 | Speaker 9:

Oh, my God, that's funny. I changed my router name to noise ordinance of 7 to 11.
