vacation with his family where he road tripped we got talked this morning about that i want to find out what you guys ended up doing for your mode of transportation because everybody wants to know about that did you did you find a car to get down there with um so we'll get into that this morning but you actually didn't even realize that kentucky derby was going on and what did you do on on your

way back home so on the way back home we stopped in louisville uh like i think it was it was cinco to Mayo night into Saturday and we get to this hotel and it wasn't like the nicest of nice hotels. I didn't realize why the, all the hotels were so expensive that night. I was like, oh, maybe it's Cinco de Mayo. I have no idea, but they were crazy expensive. So we had to find like a deal and we get this hotel and we show up and we don't get there till probably, I don't know, probably like midnight, one o'clock. We decided we're just going to sleep there and then drive the rest of the way back in the morning and we get there and there's people running around in like these giant hats and like bright colorful suits and i'm like what is this is a joke right otherwise some weird stuff's happening right now and we get there and this guy's like uh sorry somebody's already in your room and i'm like no no no we haven't checked in yet and he's like no you checked in at 9 14 somebody's already there you're gonna want to go knock on the door and and figure that out and i go what no no and i got two kids and both kids are in our arms they're asleep and we're like no i just need a room so we can get in and go to sleep and he goes i'm sorry you already checked in so we all go up there the manager and go up and i go up there we knock on the door nobody answers he's like i don't know what to tell you somebody's in your room already so you're gonna have to either buy another room or figure something out buy another room if you pay for a room you get a room don't you they said i checked in already and i'm like no i was i was like no and i'm like do i and i started at this point i'm like do i need to get a big hat and show you like what do i need to do to show you that this is not and he's like i'm sorry i don't know what i was like where's my id he's like oh we didn't scan that for them i'm like you didn't scan their id at all i was like you didn't do anything he goes no you paid online so we just assumed you were all set and i said what and so that's when my my wife gets a little bit loud the kids wake up they're like starting to get upset because it's one o'clock in the morning and we're in the middle of a hotel and nobody has any idea what's going on this manager was also sleeping upstairs in one of the rooms it was the wildest experience this obviously was obviously was not

like a uh a reputable hotel or something or was it like a little run of those little roadside uh

It was a little step up from a roadside But you know how you have your certain hotels that you like We went away from that hotel A little bit cheaper You're just stopping on the ride in, right? Yeah, we didn't think about a pool or anything like that It was just a place to sleep And they were all very expensive because of the Kentucky Derby So they end up getting us a room But at this point we're like, lock the doors I don't know. Like if some people could just walk in the room.

And put a chair in front of it. Yes.

Has that ever happened to anybody where they had somebody like in their room or walk in their room if they've ever had a hotel?

I walked into somebody's room in Las Vegas. That's terrifying. Yes.

Your key card worked for them?

Key card worked in everything and we walked in. I was married at the time. We walked into the room and there was somebody's stuff all over the place, suitcase on the bed that was open. The bathroom was filled with stuff. And thank God somebody wasn't in there. Yeah. But we had to go all the way back down to the front desk and say, you gave us a room that somebody's already in.

And then you don't trust your stay for the rest of the time that you're there because you're like, that could happen to me.

Yeah, like Mike locking the door. You know what the funniest thing is? That I would do exactly what Mike did. I would just plan my drive home, say, all right, we're driving through Louisville, Kentucky, not realizing the biggest event in Louisville, Kentucky is happening that weekend, the Kentucky Derby. and every person in the world is there wearing like fancy clothes and uh although this place seems like the type of place that wouldn't have a lot of kentucky derbyers at it well

hold on i just choked on spit so we wake up the next morning and it what you're right there wasn't there was a lot of people going to the kentucky derby but i think because of the room prices this is where kind of people kind of all went to because they didn't want to pay those super expensive prices downtown we wake up the next morning for the uh the continental breakfast and everybody's dressed up and i'm like what is happening right now and then the news was on and i see the the coronation and i'm like is it that that's what everybody's dressed up for is the coronation or whatever and then the kentucky derby commercials start coming on and it starts clicking and i'm like oh my god everybody's here

for the kentucky derby that is so funny to only go there you know what's a wild is that i booked one time going to vega

on what was the busiest weekend of the entire year. And some people may think it's that electronic show. It's not. It's the adult film convention weekend. Oh, hell yeah. It's the porn weekend. And I didn't realize, you know, when I was booking, and we always would do it at the same time. It was me and my buddy Johnny Dare and then Norm, our old agent. And we would go that same weekend all the time, not realizing that it was the porn convention. and we walk and we first off, we land at the airport and I get off the plane and I'm like, holy crap, I know that there's always beautiful women all over the place. I didn't realize there's like beautiful women and they're not wearing, I mean they were, let's put it this way, they don't wear anything in their porns. They don't wear anything when they're not in their porn too. They were scantily clad. Oh my god, it was more scantily. And Norm was probably loving it. It was more scantily than clad. Actually, Johnny Dare knew everybody. So, but it was funny because we had no idea that it was going on that particular weekend like you didn't with the, you know, the race. And then what ends up happening is you can't get anywhere. You can't, you know, like you said, the rooms are tough to get and here's somebody in your room. That's craziness. That's wild. So everything besides that, though, went well. And I know that you guys did the road trip and we'll talk, I'm sure, after eight o'clock about what your mode of transportation was, because it was interesting but um ali as a pregnant almost about ready to give birth mom

she did okay uh on the way there yes she she kept pushing to go farther uh in the road trip so we ended up getting there a couple of about six to 12 hours i don't remember exactly how many hours earlier than we expected but on the way back it was rough because she in this week i mean she's a month now probably between three weeks and a month from from giving birth so it's shifted from the time we left to the time we drove back of how uncomfortable she got. So on the way back, especially in that Kentucky Derby hotel, she was not. She was done with it. Yeah.

No more road trips for her.

This is when baby starts to move and drops. Can you imagine? That's so exciting. I mean, you're going to, oh my gosh.

Can you imagine if they gave birth at the Kentucky Derby? And they would have to name.

You'd have to have like a very southern.

They'd have to name it after one of the horses. Who was the winner of the Kentucky Derby?

I don't know how you say it. M-A-G-E. I didn't watch, so I don't know how they pronounce it. M-A-G-E. Madge. Madge.

Madge. Oh, my God, that would be a name. There you go. You got your girl's name, Madge. Baby Madge. If that's the name. Yeah, well, I would think that the road trip would cause for the baby to kind of stir up and say, all right, enough.

Get me out of here.

Because nobody wants to be on a road trip that long of a road trip. uh mike everything go okay with you and the in-laws did you guys you predicted that there

possibly could be an in-law fight uh there was there really yeah yeah a little one were you involved no no i keep at those i keep quiet and because it's not my family like so i kind of step back but it was during those uh those family photo shoots so you know we all took a picture of like our families and our blended families, and I don't know exactly what happened because I wasn't paying attention. I was chasing my own kids around trying to get them to smile and stand in one spot, which is a challenge in itself. But next thing I know, you see two people yelling. It's the father-in-law and one of the brother-in-laws, and they're yelling. I have no idea what they're yelling about. And Allie's mom is going, you guys are being childish. You guys are being childish. And everybody just turns and looks, and I had to then grab my kids because I don't want them in the middle of that and shift them in a different direction. And I know it had something to do with everybody's posing and standing still and babies crying. It was just a whole thing. But that's the only drama that I witnessed. Aren't you glad that you're the favorite now?

They love you. You're about to give them another grandchild, and you didn't cause a fight on the family vacation.

Yeah, and I just kept my mouth shut.

Hey. Yeah, I was actually calling in about the room stays. My family and I, we went up to a resort. I'm not going to name the resort just because I don't want to bash them. But we got our room keys. We got there 3 o'clock because we're checked in. We were there about 4.30, waiting around for our rooms forever. They gave us room keys. We go to walk into the room, and all of a sudden we see candles lit up in the room.

Oh, God.

Skis and all that Fortunately no one was in the room But we're like, yep, obviously Someone else is already in this room We go down to the front desk And they were like, oh yeah, no We just gave out a master key to everyone I'm like, uh

with their card system working so they're just giving out a master key to everyone so were you

in the right room or did you guys go to the wrong room number no we were we were in our room that they told us to go into but the other people went to the wrong room nope they were in their in their room too they just like double booked all the rooms oh no oh my god wait were the candles for like a little sexy time or what was the candle that's what we're guessing we're guessing they

We were, like, on a little honeymoon kind of thing, and we're like, yep, we need to get out of here.

How soon did you, like, turn and leave there, or did you go explore to see if you could see something more?

We didn't explore. What? We're like, yeah, we're not going to go around and explore.

I don't know. I'd peek around for a minute. I'd look. The only problem, though, is sometimes you see something that you can never take back in your mind, you know? And then what ends up happening is you see them the entire time that you're there on vacation. Yep. You run into them at the buffet. Always. Oh, it turns out to be a nightmare. All right.
