All right, Mojo in the Morning Show. Mike says that he thinks that he's getting some of the pregnancy hormones that his wife Allie has.

00:02:28 - 00:03:29 | Speaker 6:

I don't know how to follow the bird talk, but I will try. Recently, my wife has gotten to that point where she's starting to really, really feel everything. And it started with baby brain earlier this last couple of months. And I feel like, and I don't know if this is possible. Maybe somebody can tell me. Do guys get pregnancy hormones from their spouse? Like, is that a thing? Do you start almost empathizing with your spouse and you start to, like, feel what they feel? And obviously not the contractions. Like, are you getting sore nipples? Sometimes. Are you talking about physically or, like, emotionally? Well, recently it's been emotionally. It's not ever physically, but I've had baby brain before, or what I think baby brain is. But recently, we had this meeting yesterday, and we went over all these different characteristics of each other. It was kind of cool to hear what everybody else thinks about each other.

00:03:31 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 5:

To explain to the listeners, we went around the room, and basically everybody had to say what they felt like were the positive or negative attributes of each person.

00:03:41 - 00:03:41 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:03:41 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 5:

And everybody kind of like went around the room and shared. And then you kind of shared your own about yourself, too.

00:03:47 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, yeah. So I got to listen to what everybody thought of me. And if I'm being very honest, I was very surprised with the amount of nice things that were said. But in a very, like, emotional way. Like, I sat here. I didn't say anything. But I sat here and I teared up. And I'm like, why am I tearing up? Like, I'm a sensitive guy by nature. But, like, not that sensitive. Not to the point where people saying nice things about you, I guess unexpectedly, would make you that emotional. And I sat here and I teared up a little bit. Like, wow, that's really nice.

00:04:19 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 5:

And you think it's because you guys are about to have another baby?

00:04:22 - 00:04:25 | Speaker 6:

I don't know. I don't know if it's an actual thing.

00:04:26 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 5:

Here are some of the things that were said about Mike. He's a great dad, great husband. He is whipped. He's romantic. He's a dreamer Helpful Hard worker Creative Passionate He's also A cat dad

00:04:47 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 6:

That's what made me tear up

00:04:49 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

An experienced baby dad Hard worker I think I said that Class clown Good friend Over thinker Mm-hmm

00:05:00 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 1:

Struggles with confidence, anxious, former club DJ, former bad boy, and a recovered former F-boy. Those were some of the things that were said about you.

00:05:10 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 3:

But some of the things that, like, wouldn't even, like, to hear, this is stupid and please don't tell him, but to hear Tony say, like, he's very creative, like, he's the one that said he's very creative. Like, to me, that is a huge compliment coming from a guy who I think is very creative. You know what I mean? From you guys, like, I'm not saying I think you guys were going to say all negative things but like it was very real and very honest and it was nice it was you know some of the stuff like the overthinking and the other stuff I definitely think about but the nice things I guess I don't really focus on myself so to hear somebody else say those things is cool

00:05:43 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 1:

that's actually interesting because sometimes when you hear other people that will start talking about you and say something about you that you don't expect that they're going to say this about you um like i know for instance that a lot of the kids in the area here will go to this retreat like my you know sons and and everybody at their catholic school go to this kairos retreat every parent will always tell me that their kids always have the most emotion when they hear other kids in that that retreat say nice things about them because they never think that their friends are ever thinking nice things about them they just think that they're just they exist or just But to hear something from somebody else that you didn't expect can make you pretty emotional. Well, I think in some cases that people, you just feel like you're just existing. Right. And then when you realize you're not existing.

00:06:37 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 3:

And people are paying attention. That people are paying attention.

00:06:40 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:06:40 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 3:

I attributed it to my wife's pregnancy hormones are rubbing off on me. Because I shouldn't have cried over it. I shouldn't have gotten emotional. It's very nice. And I appreciate the nice thing. But I don't think I should have cried over it.

00:06:52 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 1:

I kind of get it. I understand that. But I wonder if maybe also that you feel a little bit more sensitive now because you are going to be having a lot of change in your life here in the next couple of weeks. Like any day now.

00:07:03 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. It could be. I'm stressed. I'm definitely, there's a lot of things rolling in my head right now. A lot. You guys have your bags packed, like ready to go? Yeah, that's ready. The, I think the, everything is set. I don't know. Now I'm overthinking it again. But everything's set. My kids' bags are packed. We have a plan of where they're going to go. It's just a big change. Like, it's a huge change. It's going from two to three. We're outnumbered now. And, Mojo, I know you've done this at some point, you know, with your little ones. I'm freaking out, honestly, if I'm being very real.

00:07:39 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, definitely when you go from the fact that you have the two and two, so the two of you, you and Allie, and then the two kids, when you go to the three to two thing where now they've got the lead, so to speak, it does change the family dynamic a little bit. And it does make you a little scared until you realize how great it is for your kids to know that each of them have another sibling to be there for them. Because to me, I could not be an only child. I'm one of six. And I think about those that are only children and god you got a lot of things in your life when you become older that you have to live by yourself you know the struggles of family and parents and all that stuff and loved ones and life and death but then when you are a kid and there's only two of you god forbid something happened to your sibling you know i mean like you always feel like you have somebody yeah so there's somebody to

00:08:33 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 3:

confer with on things do you ever feel though as like a parent of three that like and i think this is why the emotional or i got emotional over the nice things that like you're trying so hard and you're doing your best to focus on each one of them and give them all your attention and it just i feel like even now i don't do enough so having another one how am i going to keep that focus on each one of them without one of them feeling like i'm giving more attention to the other and so like it's just i don't know i think there's a lot you don't want to show you don't

00:09:02 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 1:

want to show favorites and probably in a lot of cases you feel that way because in some cases you feel like in life that it's happened to you you know I guess I felt that way too like I felt that with the kids I felt like I never wanted to make my kids feel like I had a favorite or show a favorite because in life being the youngest of six you felt like you know you were either the

00:09:22 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 2:

favorite at one time or not the favorite you know yeah yeah I'm going through that right now with Sherelle being pregnant and the question is if he has a if we have a boy do we want to name him kevin the second and immediately i think of my son josiah and i'm like nogs what does that mean

00:09:38 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

for joe that he wasn't the second yeah how does that play are you the second uh in your family yes yep so it'd be kevin the third the third yeah there we go oh my gosh wow um yeah i don't know how that works usually it is the the oldest that it gets kind of named after but sometimes that changes i will say this that sometimes we overthink

00:10:00 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 3:

life and we just got to let life happen but it's easier said than done josh what's up

00:10:05 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 4:

how's it going uh first time long time yay hi josh how's it going i just wanted to comment on mike's uh hormone emotions dude i'm in the same boat man me and my fiancee we're she's due the 19th of june and we got you know we're just like you we're ready to go and we had a baby shower and all my grandma did was give me a pillow that said the print sleeps here that i had when i was a kid oh my gosh man i bawled my eyes out in front of everybody i just blame it on my old lady yeah yeah i love when you're all normal and you're gonna do great man you're doing great i listen to you all the time you're so positive and man like i just you're gonna do great um i said i heard something about um you never realized how your your parents are or like your parents were growing up as they were raising you and you never realized that as a kid and then going through it now it's kind of the same thing oh my gosh yeah as uh my fiance's son now and she's pregnant now so it's very it's a lot you're gonna do great and uh yeah i'm just happy for you guys

00:11:14 - 00:11:30 | Speaker 3:

josh you're an awesome color call us more often all right well i got a lot to say but i know you guys gotta go no congratulations to you buddy thank you for that was very sweet man i don't know mike if that made you emotional to hear what he just said about you it does and it's it's nice

00:11:30 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 2:

to know that other people are feeling the same thing because i'm you guys i'm i'm scared man i'm i know i i shouldn't be because i you know this is my third one but i'm scared like i'm just i don't know what's what's freaking me out i don't know why it hit all of a sudden but it's it's like that moment of like we're ready but are we ready did we bite off more than we can chew how am i gonna like i work so hard to keep everybody happy at home and then i work so hard at work and it always feels like one of them is it just is it's just hard and i i know i this is my thing like i did it i wanted more kids it's just it's this is that scary moment that i haven't had this whole time because we've had the honeymoon phase of we're having another baby this is so exciting this is we're completing our family and i know i'll get over it i'm just having a moment as soon

00:12:17 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 1:

as you look into that baby's face mike all of that's gonna go away yeah you know do you ever

00:12:24 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 3:

see those those people and josh you're still on with us too you ever see people and you see them and they have like a family and maybe somebody has a handicap or something you know to them and you go god i don't i don't know how they do it you know i i look at them and i go god how are they you know look at them they're unbelievable and if you get more deep with them where you have a conversation with them you always find out that they were never prepared for what came into their lives but life made them prepared yeah and I think that in life you have to look at it and Shannon I know that you you've got family members your sister I watch I watch my sister Jacqueline

00:13:09 - 00:13:40 | Speaker 1:

And my, my new baby niece, um, Navy has an ultra rare genetic disorder. So there's not even anything known about what she has. And whenever I talked to my sister about it, because I truly watched my sister in awe and she was not prepared for that. I mean, she didn't, you know, they didn't know that that was the case with Navy until a few days after she was born. Um, but she's like, this is, this is her life and this is my life and we're, we're moving forward. You know, there's no other way to go. So you just, every day you get up and you, you get through your day.

00:13:40 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 3:

And you know what? I think that Mike, you are like an amazing father. Everything that we talked about and that attributes about you all dealt with your, you personally, you as a person, you know, not you as a radio, you know, guy.

00:13:56 - 00:14:06 | Speaker 2:

I know. It's just good to, you know, you feel like you're trying so hard and I'm not saying it doesn't go, it goes unnoticed or anything like that. It's just, it's nice. It's nice to hear. It's nice to hear.

00:14:07 - 00:14:09 | Speaker 3:

Last call here. Jen, what did you want to say to Mike?

00:14:11 - 00:14:11 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Mike.

00:14:12 - 00:14:12 | Unknown:

Hi.

00:14:12 - 00:14:26 | Speaker 5:

Single parent of three and fellow overthinker, just trust me, your heart just grows bigger. Like, don't even stress about it. I promise it's going to be amazing, and they fit right in, and it just works. You love them, and that's all that happens.

00:14:26 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 3:

It's like a puzzle. Don't even stress about it. It's like a puzzle piece, isn't it? It just all of a sudden just fits right there.

00:14:32 - 00:14:45 | Speaker 5:

That's the perfect analogy because, you know what? after a minute it's going to feel like it was always there like that was missing and it just it's going to be so natural and everyone's going to get attention and it just it's perfect you're going to be amazing

00:14:45 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 3:

thank you thank you for the call thanks Jen

00:14:48 - 00:14:50 | Speaker 5:
