lines and text lines uh megan did they want to hook up oh my god you know what i was thinking about it you called me cranky a little bit earlier which has never been a word used to describe me ever in my life so thank you for the first thank you for the half-assed chuckle so um essentially i do think that i'm a little bit cranky this morning i will say you are a little bit right and that's because i didn't get much sleep last night because i got into my room yesterday because i i had got a hotel in downtown detroit and i had one of the scariest things happened to me now what's funny about this is every time i get into a hotel room i'm on the phone with my dad so that if i'm murdered he can't do anything and um you'll just call 9-1-1 you call you you call your dad while i yeah yeah while i'm checking in he's with me so he knows my room number and then while i'm going through the room making sure there's not a murderer hiding in the closet he's on the phone as well and i i looked to the left and i went oh crap and he goes what, what? And I said, there's one of those connecting doors to another room. I hate that as a girl. I hate having a door that just is accessed by another room. It makes me feel so unsafe. And he was like, well, lock it. And I was like, I tried to lock it. I didn't really trust the lock. And I was like, well, that's the best I can do. And I slept with my lights on in my room last night so that if somebody broke through this door, I would be able to see them and fight essentially because i i don't know stay ready stay ready and normally at home in that situation i would sleep with a knife i didn't have a knife i was in a hotel room so i was like fist it is uh slaps only let's do it the full 007 nintendo 64 slaps

Because people can see you in the hallway. Room to room is just private.

Nobody can see that. And I feel like they can plot. If you're just in the hallway, there's more probability of people walking by interrupting what you got in your mind. You're in your door. You got tools. You can do whatever.

So I get into bed, and I'm trying to fall asleep. And I don't do well sleeping in places that I'm normally at anyways. and I finally fall asleep, and then I hear that door unlock and open. No. And I thought, oh, my God. I know how swingers work. I know how you operate. If it's not the pineapple and you have conjoined rooms, one person will open their side of the door and will be like, if you would like to join, you can open your side. They say that? Or it's just like if you hear the door open? If you hear the door open and you're thinking about joining. I did not know that. You can open your door and be like, yeah.

I want to know, though, but you bring up a really interesting point, and I would love to know if there's a listener that would tell us if that really is a swinger thing, that people do that. They open up the doors. I've never in my life ever heard of that.

It's the note under your door, and it's usually like the person will say, hey, I saw you walking in, and a note underneath the door, and that's how a lot of hotel sex stuff happens.

Well, yeah, because you have to know. Like, you would have to know that those people are actually in the lifestyle, and there are a lot of tails. Like, there's special rings that people will wear. Rings? Rings? Like, what kind?

But also, okay, are you telling me that every person out there isn't looking for a stranger? Because I know there are people looking for strangers. You don't have to know the person.
