We have got your Mojo, Mojo in the Morning Show. fridays on mojo yeah that's what we got working at the holiday inn bar right now playing a little fun music for you guys hope you have fun tip your waiters and waitresses uh so mike mike experienced what we have all experienced that have children on the show judgment oh yeah mike went yesterday to cecily school for march's reading month to read and mike it's a good thing sometimes when the teacher knows what you do for a living but then

sometimes it may not be so good yeah uh so i went in and surprised ces and she like ran to the door and gave me a big old hug i was a mystery reader and her friends were super excited and she sat next to me while i read and they ask you know what they you guys know what they do they ask the choir ask a million questions and one of the questions are always how much do you make and it's random questions who's your favorite person that you met and then her teacher jumps in and goes hey did you were you at irish and ionia and i was like yeah i was like yeah that's a random thing for her teacher to know and she just kind of smiled and so then i um and so then somebody the little kid asked you know what is the what is how many cats do you have oh no i was You're going to say, what is Irish and Ionia? Then it went back to random questions. And then she pops in again. So what did you do at Irish and Ionia? And I was like, oh, we, I was like, that's a good question. We broadcasted live and then I get on stage. I was like, I used to play some of the music. And then the kids got all excited. You used to play music. So you sing with the artists like Harry Styles and stuff. I said, yes, of course I sing with Harry Styles. That's exactly what my job is.

And then so at the end, you know, I'm grabbing my stuff and Sessa and I are packing up to leave and we go to the door and she's like, oh, hey, you forgot your coat. And I'm like, oh, geez, because literally that's how my brain works. I forget things all the time. And I'm like, oh, yeah, I forgot about that. And she goes, you got your phone, too, right? Oh. And I go, you have got to be kidding me. She's a listener. Oh, yeah. The smile and the judgment on her face. She had to have heard that entire topic. That's so good. But I don't know if it's like a ha-ha kind of judgment or like a- That was funny.

She's funny. She's having fun with you.

Okay. Okay. Because in my head, I worried about that all day. Like, oh my gosh, I'm going to get like a letter back from her school. They're never going to have me in again. Like, this is like- That's so good. I'm terrified.

The beauty of it is that she's obviously a listener, and, you know, that's cool that we love that she listens to the show. But now she knows that all of Cecily's smarts comes from her mother. You know, it's firsthand. There was any doubt.

Now, I got a question, Mick. What book did you read? Because I really wanted him to read the book with his daughter in it.

Oh, yeah. So Megan gave me a book a couple years ago. It was like The Adventures of Cecily and Milo, and I thought it was like the coolest thing in the entire world. What a gift. Yeah, but I can't read a book about Cecily while Cecily's sitting in front of her.

Oh, my gosh, she would have gone crazy.

No, I cannot. Because she sat up there with me and was like, hey, guys, when he's done, I'm going to tell you guys a joke, okay? And the class was like, oh, okay, Cecily. I love her.

That's incredible.

I read Green Eggs and Ham. That's what I ended up going with.

I will never forget going into school for Jacob, and I had to follow a doctor, a lawyer, and a pilot.

No. That's what I had to follow.

Yes. A doctor, lawyer, and pilot. And here comes me.

You're so much cooler to them.

I don't know.

I really are.

The pilot was pretty cool to them.

Pilot was. I'm telling you.

The doctor and lawyer, they were kind of like, eh. All right. But the pilot. And he brought in wings for them from the air. He brought gifts. Oh, okay. That's swaggy cool. Yeah, so he brought gifts in. I did, too, though. I brought gifts. But I was told that I couldn't bring in certain gifts. I wanted to bring in koozies for all the parents. For some reason, we used to have koozies. You know what koozies are? You keep your drink nice and ice cold if you put it around there. Yeah. And then they're like, you know, the koozies might want to stay back out here, though. So I passed out bumper stickers. We used to have bumper stickers back in the day.

Gifts, that's what I should have brought is gifts. That's such a great idea.

We used to have fidget spinners with our logos on them. I should have given those to the kids. I was told when I read to Lucy's class that I embarrassed her.

Oh, my God. Why?

Because I wanted to, like, I know who most of the kids are, but she has had a crush on this one little boy forever and ever. And so at the end, like, I had pulled her aside and we were chit-chatting and I said, Lucy, is that, and I don't even want to say his name, I said, is that him? And she put her little forehead against mine and she goes, Mom, stop, you're embarrassing me. I'm like, I didn't even say anything out loud. And she's like, please stop, please stop, please stop.

said anything else she would just go so you were there right and i was like yeah and then she would have like the side smile and i'm like waiting for her to say something like were you there did i did you did you enjoy it yeah you know do you have a follow-up there was none ever yeah that's

funny that is that is so funny my favorite my favorite too is i used to always like want my kids to have like the the cute young teacher that was there because i thought oh you know maybe for more fun my kids always ended up getting the veteran teacher the one that had been there for a while and they were always the best teachers yeah they were and they were actually even more fun sometimes because they had been they kind of you know they kind of could knew what they could get away with and couldn't get away with and stuff like that yeah so that was kind of uh that was kind of cool but you know what the most embarrassing thing that i've ever done on this radio program over the years to my wife was what i used to do rate rate the teachers and i would and i would do i would do how how attractive they were and every single year we would start off the school year and it would be like all right what got a chance yesterday to do the walk around the school and see the teachers let me rate the teachers here right now you should

see lucy's teacher this year she's literally a fairy tale princess she talks like a princess She looks like a princess She is a princess She's straight out of Disney

Is she really? Wow That would be kind of cool And the kids always wanted the guy teacher too That was the other one My boys always wanted the guy Because there was always the guy teacher that was there They were cool They were laid back Because they would play football with them out on the playground They always had the animals in their room

They did

They brought their dogs to school because they couldn't find a dog sitter. All right. Well, I'm glad, Mike, that we have a listener and hello to Cecily's teacher.

We have a lot because I sat down and the first question I asked was, so who all listens to the radio station? And all the kids raised their hand. I said, 104.5 SNX. And I said, you guys might not listen in the morning because it's more for adults. And I said, but have you guys ever heard of Mojo in the morning?
