00:00:23 - 00:00:29 | Speaker 5:

Food math hasn't been mathing lately, but at Zaxby's, we're fixing the equation. Zaxby's has 10 traditional or boneless wings for $10, tossed in eight signature sauces or three bowl dry rubs. 10 wings for $10? At Zaxby's, the math is mathing, unlike the other chicken spots. Zaxby's 10 for 10, nothing but 10s across the board, respectfully. Who's got the sauce? Limited time or for available only at participating locations while supplies last.

00:01:00 - 00:01:15 | Speaker 2:

00:02:30 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 3:

the way through yeah i was in and out of the detroit studios every one of you were sick and i avoided it the entire month of december and then the day we started break i got sick and i was sick for that whole week and it was one of those where i just slept and watched movies and and took my temperature every day towards the end of it because right around christmas i was supposed to go to chicago was supposed to get on a train and go to chicago and do all that and so i was taking my temperature every day and the second i didn't have a temperature anymore i was getting i was getting out of the house and i was gonna go see my family and it just never happened i never made

00:03:04 - 00:03:13 | Speaker 7:

it through christmas oh man it's the worst i don't know one person who hasn't gotten sick yeah over the past couple of weeks i mean i just feel like so many different things are going

00:03:13 - 00:03:20 | Speaker 6:

around and they're nasty so so wait a second so did you get to open up any gifts or did you get Did you get any gifts at all?

00:03:22 - 00:03:38 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I got gifts, but I waited until after Christmas to go visit family and see family. I didn't see them until last week. No joke, every single day I had a thermometer in my mouth every morning, and then I would go a couple hours and see if it was gone. I was like a little kid trying to get out of the house.

00:03:39 - 00:03:41 | Speaker 6:

Really? You take the thermometer in the mouth?

00:03:44 - 00:03:50 | Speaker 3:

No, I mean, you don't have the forehead one? Yeah, so we do the thermometer one.

00:03:50 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 7:

I don't think I could read that one anymore.

00:03:54 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 3:

The kids ended up getting sick, too, which sucked. My son got sick. So my wife went to grab the thermometer and check him, too. But she grabbed a different thermometer. And I'm like, where did you find that? And she's like, this is the thermometer we always use for everybody in the house. So what about this one that I've been using for like a week? And she goes, please tell me you didn't put that thermometer in your mouth. Oh, no. Yeah, but that's what I put it. I'm not going to put it in my armpit. She's like, no, we used to put that in the kid's butt. Oh, my God. So I probably got sick from that, too. So gross.

00:04:35 - 00:04:56 | Speaker 6:

Isn't that crazy? I feel like that was back in the day when butt thermometers were more used. I think that that was a cruel joke they played on people. Right. We were never supposed to do it? Yeah. It was kind of like, yeah, we're going to stick this in the butt. Although I will say that didn't doctors say that that was actually a more accurate read? For babies, yeah.

00:04:56 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 3:

I don't know even today if it still is, but the technology is there where I feel like.

00:05:00 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 5:

Like, we shouldn't have to use that anymore. No, I think they have, like you said, the forehead ones now that you can use. But we never got one of those. And I think when the kids would get sick, they would just wiggle all over the place so you couldn't get in on their armpit even.

00:05:13 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 3:

By the way, what's worse, Mike using their kid's butt thermometer or Joe using my razor or me using his toothbrush? The butt thermometer is pretty bad. Yeah, I think the butt thermometer.

00:05:27 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 5:

it was like it was so gross i don't why then i asked that question why are we keeping this

00:05:33 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 3:

why do you still have this i thought of you with the the weather because you guys were going to do that uh take a train uh to chicago thing from grand rapids and i thought of you i thought maybe that would get canceled because i saw amtrak actually did have to cancel some of their runs

00:05:50 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 5:

yeah they ended up canceling that day anyway so it didn't matter that i was like the way it worked out i there was 20 feet or two feet of snow so i had to sit in the house anyways because there was i wasn't going to leave the house but and they canceled that train too so it ended up working

00:06:05 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 3:

out i just sucked being sick the whole time yeah the weather by the way is so like nuts that we didn't we had such a great october november even december up until the 20 or whatever it was what 23rd or something like that or 20 and then it turned so cold and we didn't get as much snow as they said we were going to get but man they were right with the blowing and the wind and everything that that was insane. How much did you guys

00:06:35 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 5:

get on the east side of the state?

00:06:37 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 3:

You guys got clobbered didn't you? What did you get?

00:06:40 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 5:

Probably close to like 20 inches Oh my goodness. We got

00:06:43 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 3:

like 6 or something like that. Maybe. It really wasn't

00:06:45 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 5:

horrible. Yeah.

00:06:47 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 3:

20 inches of snow.

00:06:49 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it was bad, man.

00:06:50 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. What did you do to get rid of all that? Did you have to, while you're sick, go outside and snowblow or plow? No.

00:06:57 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 5:

My neighbor, who I'm actually watching his house now, my neighbor came over, and that's probably why he did it, now that I think about it, is so he could talk me into watching his house. He came over and plowed my driveway. He's like, I noticed you hadn't done it or whatever. He knocked on my door, and I was like, we've been sick. I haven't had a chance to, but he plowed my whole driveway. That's nice. Wow.

00:07:14 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that sweet? Well, you got good neighbors. There's good people on the west side of the state. My neighbors would have never done that for me.

00:07:21 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 5:

Well, I've never lived in a neighborhood where they would do that for me. At first, I was a little offended. I'm like, what are you doing? Get off my driveway.

00:07:29 - 00:07:30 | Unknown:

I got it.

00:07:30 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 5:

And then I'm like, wait, that's kind of nice, actually. Thank you.

00:07:33 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 3:

I had that happen to me, actually, in my old neighborhood. I went and snowblowed one of our neighbors' driveways, and the lady that lived there was really upset with me for snowblowing the driveway. Really? Well, she said that her husband was real particular. and um they they were an Indian family and he was like not did not like the idea that I was snowblowing his you know his driveway and I don't know if I don't know if it had anything to do with the fact that I'm an idiot and he probably thought that I would screw up his driveway or she thought I'd screw up the driveway or the fact that he thought that it was weird that another man was

00:08:04 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 1:

was doing that but yeah I'm Emily Oster I'm an economist and data expert and I'm Perry Wilson
