message from a friend uh or they were texting back and forth or whatever because the cat keeps laying in the the co-sleeper the little bed that's going to sit by the our bed when the baby's born and it's constantly in there now it's like its own little bed now and uh so she is uh like talking to her about it or whatever and the friend starts telling her these horror stories like hey um i've heard of cats you know laying on top of the the newborn and there's possibilities for suffocation and all these different things so it's worked my wife up who's already like a little on edge as it is anyways and rightfully so she's at the the end of this pregnancy which it gets a lot harder and and you know she's in pain she's uncomfortable she's worried she's nesting all these different emotions and different things are happening but now she's like should we find this cat a home for a little bit and until the the baby's into like a crib or something we've never also wouldn't be

But I did have a girlfriend and they had to get rid of their little dog because when they brought their first baby home, and this is six kids ago, by the way, they have a lot of kids. But the dog got, all of a sudden, it was this sweet little dog and it got very, very aggressive.

And so they, I mean, really, for the safety of the baby, they ended up, you know, giving the dog to a family member, I think is who it went to. It was a little chihuahua. But yeah, so. Six kids.

They should have had like.

They should have a long time ago, but the the the ability to be able to what animal would be perfect for six kids, like a horse and carriage or something like that. I don't know. Like get a bunch of bunch of animals.

Were the other family members upset with you for doing that?

No, no. I kind of already was like inching towards it when I was pregnant because I seen how he was acting. So it was kind of like, yeah, you know, you said you still want the cat, right? Because, yeah, he has to go. Like, he was not having it. He was not having it at all.

That's a lesson for your husband, because if he ever talks back to you, you will also get rid of him, right?

I did. I had these two cats. They were brothers from the same litter, yin and yang, and their names fit them perfectly. I had them three years before my son was born. And when we brought my son home At night he would get like this really raspy breath And we had to take him to a pediatrician Come to find out he was severely allergic To cats and his throat Would swell up in the middle of the night Because the cats So I had to get rid of Both of the cats They went to a same home and they were actually Christmas presents to my best friend's little kid Oh that's sweet

Do you guys now visit the cats Do they not Like, if you go over to your friend's house, do the cats, like, go, oh, she's here?

No, not anymore. They kind of just ignore me from time to time now.

That's the thing. Mike thinks everybody ignores him already. Imagine if he gets rid of the cat and gives it to a friend, and then you go over there, right? Oh, yeah.

He's like, oh, forget this. I remember you. You got rid of me. You abandoned me.

So that's what cats normally do, is they treat you like you're here, okay, if you want to have my attention you need to come get my attention except for this cat this cat is the loving the most loving sweet cat in the world and i am like i i wanted to talk i wanted to yeah i wanted and it comes up to me and it loves on me and it i it's growing it's growing there's

I'm not getting rid of her. There's no way. What happens if? Everybody who's getting angry at me, there's no way I'm just going to get rid of the cat. What made you get rid of your cat?

My cat would always jump in the crib, the bassinet, wherever the baby was, not with a person. She would jump in there and smell around the baby and look to see if she had any milk. She would always, like, attach to maybe the breast milk smell. I don't know.

So were you worried that the cat was going to do that when the baby was in there?

Oh, she did. I called her one time licking the baby's cheek. So I'm like, oh, no, one time, one and done. I gave the cat to my sister and never seen the cat.

How does that make you feel, Mike, when you hear that? I don't really know what to say to that. Mike, what are you more afraid of? And be honest with me on this one. Okay, 100%. The cat going into your baby's crib or the cat people coming over to your house and grabbing you?

I have zero fear of this. I'm not worried about this. My wife has brought this up because of the horror stories she's heard. I think I need to – I have to – I'm more worried of my wife in this situation doing something that she's going to truly regret.

But you understand, though, the moment that that cat does anything, like in Daisy's case, it's going to be blamed on you.

How stupid is this? I didn't want the cat. I didn't want the cat in the first place, and now I have to protect the cat because that cat can't go. That cat cannot go. My daughter loves it. I know my wife does too. She's just freaked out at this particular moment. And I didn't want the cat. And now I have to protect the cat. This is so dumb.

That's how it goes with dads and pets. They always end up liking the pet more than everybody else.
