Mojo in the morning show. Mike is getting kicked out. Of where, Mike? Where are you getting kicked out of?

00:02:14 - 00:02:22 | Speaker 4:

My space. my uh my my temple here at work my my office it's not really an office it's like a closet with my

00:02:22 - 00:02:28 | Speaker 3:

stuff in it it actually is it's been yours for how long though uh for a while now for a while now

00:02:28 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 4:

and it's got like years and years and years of because i've been in uh in west michigan and on snx for a while so it's got memories and and all kinds of stuff and i first off i'll say this i'm being a giant baby about this and i know that and i fully understand that i don't use that office like i used to i used to have uh would have clients in here all the time that would we'd go to that office and meet and i'd used to have uh like record reps and and artists come in yeah but now they can just come to the studio and the studio is basically my office now can i just just to bring people in

00:03:02 - 00:03:12 | Speaker 3:

on this and give him details on this. Mike is on our show. He's a show member with Mojo in the Morning, but he's also, he wears like 12 hats.

00:03:13 - 00:03:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:03:13 - 00:03:20 | Speaker 3:

You're the music director, APD, is that right? Yeah, yeah. So like for Detroit, I'd be like the Sean Strife.

00:03:20 - 00:03:21 | Speaker 4:

Yes. Yeah, yeah.

00:03:21 - 00:03:24 | Speaker 3:

So you, with Sean has an office.

00:03:24 - 00:03:25 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

00:03:26 - 00:03:45 | Speaker 3:

And I'm going to say this. um you do still do a lot of work where you have time where you have office time you know yeah and there are other people that do use that studio right don't they don't aren't there some people that go in there and do do stuff and schmitty and those guys do shows and things

00:03:45 - 00:04:36 | Speaker 4:

yeah they could technically do it from another studio this has become sort of like my office where i could do everything in the studio so i'm trying and that's how i have to tell myself not to overreact on this because what i want to do is go no that's my office i'm keeping so what happened they came to you and what did they say uh they politely came to me and said and said hey uh you know we want to move some stuff around uh how much do you use that office and i'm like oh my stuff's in there but i mean i'm in and out you know not as much as i as i used to okay well i think we're gonna uh i think we're gonna move somebody in there and i don't know who they're moving in or what exactly they're doing, but it was kind of like this is your – it was like an eviction notice. Like this is your warning. It's coming. It's time. I'm getting the boot. I blame KP because I'm pretty sure she's the one who did it. I'm just kidding.

00:04:36 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 3:

I was going to say, well, how did KP have anything to do with this? I was wondering.

00:04:41 - 00:04:44 | Speaker 4:

Throwback throwdown. There's really nothing more to tie that together.

00:04:45 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 3:

I know. It's the end of an era. Mike, if they're evicting you from your home, you have rights. I do? Yes. What are those rights? Well, I don't know. Let's ask.

00:05:00 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 4:

Let's ask a lawyer. Do we have any rights on this one here? Just like when somebody lives in a dwelling, like an apartment or a house or something, or they're renting, you can't just evict somebody. You have to give them, I think, a notice. I think it has to be like a 30-day or 60-day or 90-day notice.

00:05:18 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 3:

That might be what that was then. How much of a notice did they give you? I'm not out yet. My stuff's still in there. This was like a, hey, this is coming type of thing. They did give you a notice. Yeah, that's what this is. So now I have nowhere to put this stuff. I have no idea. Or this is the start to like, hey, we've decided to let you go. And now that your stuff is gone, this is.

00:05:40 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 5:

But aren't there like, isn't there like nobody working there? So shouldn't there be another space that you could go?

00:05:45 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 3:

Well, that's the thing is there's a really, really. And maybe this is what I come back with. There's a really nice office next to mine. I'm in a closet. Right.

00:05:54 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 5:

Maybe it's a time for an upgrade.

00:05:57 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I like that.

00:05:58 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 5:

you know i mean you're taking on more responsibility more job titles it would only make sense for you

00:06:04 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 3:

to have a bigger office yeah i don't understand why they went to mine first honestly because it's a very tiny thing i don't know maybe you're right you could be but has anybody ever had that where they just come in and they just take your like they're like all right you gotta move you gotta

00:06:16 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 4:

get out yeah i don't know you know i bet you that that that's happened a lot of people what's going

00:06:20 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 1:

amy actually it happened on tv what's up yeah that episode of the office where ryan was literally

00:06:26 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 4:

working out of a closet yes yeah that is that's mike is our ryan in more ways than one yeah let me let me just say this about mike and in we joke about mike and him him being you know the the what does he call himself the the stepchild the redheaded stepchild this guy works his butt off he does and i and i will go on record to say that mike is one of the hardest workers that i've ever seen in this business and i also feel like there are sometimes there's a time where he gets you know looked over a little bit and i think that in this case it's kind of like oh we'll just take that one oh no no that belongs to somebody oh who does it belong to guys had it forever all right it belongs to mike oh mike so mike who you know you know i was funny as i went to a meeting this

00:07:20 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 3:

was about a month ago where i walked in and they're like they were waiting for me to come to the meeting and i was like oh that's cool that's really nice and i get there and they go i hear somebody say we're waiting on mike and somebody goes mike who and i'm like you gotta be kidding me the only mike in the building it's probably you know what that office is probably for it's probably for eric they're gonna give it to eric go get him eric yeah just like doug the listener

00:07:43 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 1:

said yes you go get him what's up kristen hi uh i was just saying that mike um possessions nine comes to the law you should just sit there just become a squatter yeah yeah don't leave the office

00:07:59 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 3:

just just staying there forever like part of me is like i know i'm being a baby because i don't use that office like i used to but like all my stuff is in there like it's it's it's been my you know it's i'm not up there 90 of the week so i don't use it that much and i could give it up

00:08:17 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 5:

but also part of me is like that's mine yeah hey that's mine it's like a ding right like it's It's a thing against you.

00:08:24 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 4:

The pain in the butt is the...

00:08:26 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 5:

They're moving this crap out of there.

00:08:28 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's getting the stuff out of there. It's awful. What's up, Blair? How you doing?

00:08:34 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 2:

Good, how are you?

00:08:35 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 4:

Good. Blair says that this happens at her work. What's going on?

00:08:39 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 2:

It happens to teachers all the time. I'm not a teacher yet, but I'm going to school to be a teacher. And they'll just give you a week's notice right before school starts. Like, yeah, we need you to move rooms. So you have your entire classroom set up. And they're like, yep, you've got to switch rooms.

00:08:54 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 4:

That's so annoying. And what do the kids do? The kids don't want to have to go to another room, right?

00:09:01 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, most of the time they'll do it before school starts so that it's not an issue for, like, the students. But it's a pain in the butt for teachers.

00:09:10 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 4:

I bet that is. I bet you that becomes a royal pain in the butt.

00:09:14 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and, like, if schools are, like, redistricting, like, recently the schools went from K to 4 and had upper elementary was 5, 6. They went back to K-5 for elementary school and 6 through 8 for middle school. And so, like, the fifth grade teachers had to switch schools based on where they were.

00:09:31 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. And seeing stuff like that where I'm like, see, my little office isn't that important. Like, that to me is way more important than my closet office.

00:09:39 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

Mike, by the way, is definitely being more political right now. Can you notice this? That he's grown as an on-air talent. In the past, he would have gone in a guns a-blazin' and said, I am not moving out of this office, and then gone on the air and said this. You've grown up, Mike. You're smart. Let us be the bad guy.

00:10:00 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 7:

I just know that if I go in and do that, it's not going to get the results that I want. I don't know.

00:10:06 - 00:10:14 | Speaker 6:

It just gets you in trouble. Hold on. Somebody that will get you in trouble is on the phone line right now. Misfit Victor is on with us right now. Victor?

00:10:15 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 4:

Hey, good morning, guys. And just like that last caller, I'm not a teacher yet either. But, Mike, I saw this coming at the beginning of the week. I mean, you're complaining about not being able to get days off and stuff like that. than it was complaining about not having a birthday party. I mean, this is just their way of them pushing you out. Yeah, you're right. You brought this on yourselves. And can we just, you guys mentioned Sean Stripe. Can we find out why he's wearing homeless man gloves in his TikTok videos?

00:10:46 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 6:

Wait, come on.

00:10:48 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 4:

Victor.

00:10:48 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 6:

Victor, you've got to be seriously. Stop that.

00:10:51 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 4:

No, have you watched the video?

00:10:52 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 6:

It looks good. By the way, Sean and KP are the biggest viewed on our TikToks. Of course.

00:11:07 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 4:

Well, KP is the number of looks, and Sean, because people are trying to figure out what's wrong with his hands.

00:11:11 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 6:

No.

00:11:13 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 4:

It's like an accident.

00:11:14 - 00:11:22 | Speaker 6:

Victor. Victor, can I ask you an honest question? What do you do that you have this much time to listen to the show as much as you do?

00:11:23 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 4:

Well, I wake up at 6 o'clock. I take my first son to school, and then now I took my second son to school, and I'm going back home, and I'll be taking my daughter to school here soon.

00:11:33 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 6:

Wow. Can't they all start school at the same time? Doesn't that suck when you have three kids and they all have three different?

00:11:39 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 4:

Three separate buildings, yes. And the best part about it is the bus picks them up eight feet away from my house, but I prefer to drive them.

00:11:46 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 6:

That's very nice of you. All right. Well, listen, I got to move on. We're trying to get Mike back his office. We'll talk to you later, Victor. Thank you.

00:11:52 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 4:

Play for Sean Strife.

00:11:57 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 6:

He's such a roller coaster. Now I'm going to have to go into a meeting for that one later today. All right, so Mike's office, we've got to get Mike's office back. Mike, we've got to get a picture of you out in front of your office holding a sign or something like that.

00:12:10 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 7:

You know how even the sign on the door right now that says WSNX, I took off of something else. I think it was like a name plaque or something. And it's a sign that I put on there just to make it an actual office It's just a closet

00:12:24 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 6:

You know what you should do? This is how you get back at them Because the studio has got to be a bigger square footage than the office You need to decorate the studio like it would be your office And then put a sign on the outside of it Instead of it saying studio and whatever Say Mike's office

00:12:40 - 00:12:43 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, just put office hours between 9 and 9.15

00:12:43 - 00:12:49 | Speaker 6:

I love it There's your new office Now you got yourself a better office You got promoted Okay Alright
