mojo in the morning hey hey hey hey anybody out this weekend anybody doing anything fun this weekend that they would like to uh to talk about or is it just all super bowl related and stuff i'm excited for a date night with my wife oh that's right and that you're mike's got two things he's got a date night with his wife and then she's going away with girls so you get to have a video game night with your kids or not with your kids video game night without the kids because you're just going to make them go to bed or what are you going to do put a movie on

00:02:08 - 00:02:21 | Speaker 6:

oh no no no no so they'll play they do play minecraft but they will they go to bed at like eight ish so about eight o'clock they'll put them down i'll read them a book and put them to sleep And then, yeah, I'm gaming for, like, hours and hours and hours.

00:02:21 - 00:02:41 | Speaker 4:

If Ashley's there, Ashley, you're not cheating on Allie with Ashley, right? I was going to make sure of that. Okay. Allie, if Allie is there with you and you put the kids to bed at 8 o'clock, do you think to yourself, God, I want to go play video games, but I'm hoping that Allie goes to bed early too?

00:02:42 - 00:02:59 | Speaker 6:

Well, so we got this weird thing. I don't know if a lot of other people do this, But, like, she likes to read a book on her phone, and I play video games. So sometimes we don't even talk to each other, but we sit in the same room, and I'll play for a couple hours, and she'll do that. And sometimes we just watch movies. Like, it works sometimes, but it works.

00:02:59 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 4:

And it never comes back to bite you in the ass, though, like where she says you were playing video games all the time?

00:03:04 - 00:03:20 | Speaker 6:

So it used to when we first started dating because she wasn't into reading books, and we didn't have kids. I mean, we're like, she wasn't like we were, we would, I would stay up to like four or five o'clock in the morning, like playing video games on the weekend sometimes. And that got to be excessive. So I've toned it down a ton since then.

00:03:21 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I, I would, I remember Mike, I used to play video games all the time, like literally all the time. And I remember I played so much that it got to a point where I was so manically crazy about wanting to play that I would do anything I could to keep Chelsea from having anything that would be caffeinated to make her go to bed early like honestly i know i can't imagine you being a gamer oh my god i was all i played madden so much like i i i used to finish the first season of madden like within like a full you know night you know or or a little more than a night because it would take me a little bit but i would play like a whole season and this was actually back before you can even go online and play other people if i had the capabilities to go online and just play everybody, I'd never see my family. And actually, I'd probably never show up for work because I would be so into it. It was so much fun. Yeah.

00:04:15 - 00:04:16 | Speaker 6:

Come over and play if you want.

00:04:16 - 00:04:26 | Speaker 4:

But I gave it up when Luke was born. I made Chelsea the promise that she was not going to be a single parent on Luke, kind of like she was with Joe and Jake.

00:04:26 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 5:

Got all the way to that third one.

00:04:27 - 00:04:52 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so it got all the way to that, and then it just turned, I don't know, it's one of those things where, Mike, I'm going to say this to you, it's so much fun to play and you anticipate like the opportunity to play it and it's like a friday morning show like this you're probably thinking about eight o'clock on what is it saturday night when ally goes out with her friends yeah yeah oh yeah saturday night at eight o'clock don't call

00:04:52 - 00:04:56 | Speaker 6:

mike no no why would you see that's why you wanted to say it loud now everybody's gonna call

00:04:56 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

he's gonna be playing what's up liz hi

00:04:59 - 00:05:29 | Unknown:

Thank you.

00:05:00 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 2:

Good morning.

00:05:00 - 00:05:01 | Speaker 1:

Morning. What's going on?

00:05:02 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 2:

So I was going to tell Mike that I'm actually the gamer and I'm the girlfriend. So it's a little more like unique situation because I like playing, you know, guy video games like shooters and things like that. And the best time to play, of course, is at night. So I want to play video games. And my boyfriend's the one who wants to read or watch Netflix. And he's like, why don't you just come? Oh, where were you?

00:05:28 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 1:

When Mike and I were searching for wives You weren't around We never saw you

00:05:34 - 00:05:35 | Speaker 2:

We're probably playing video games

00:05:35 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 1:

That's probably what it was Is that wild or what Is there a way that we can actually put You know I don't know like maybe have

00:05:44 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 5:

Well I'll take Ali out Because Meg is a huge gamer She's always on

00:05:48 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 1:

In that case too

00:05:49 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 5:

So Mike and Meg can game And I'll take Ali out

00:05:53 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 2:

Can I take Meg out

00:05:55 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 1:

Yeah sure this is uh wild that's like the that's like the buddies of mine i have friends of mine who call me up listen to this one they call me up and they'll talk to me and i'll say how's everything going over this ship oh it's all right what do you all she wants to do is have sex i'm like come on you're bragging humble brag yeah and then they're like no they're serious about this spike this is no joke like it's too too much they feel like all they want to do is have sex that their their uh one buddy wife he said that it's crazy all she wants to do stop do is and he's like i'm exhausted he he's a a blue collar guy who works construction he's like i work all day all i want to do is come home and sit down and relax next thing i know i don't want to do any more physical activity and i'm like you dumb son of a bitch what are you talking about like i don't get it it's not my world i don't understand that i mean i guess it would be like and i and he equates it to this He goes, what would you do? Because Chelsea's a real super clean freak. And to Chelsea, it's like all she wants to do is pick up the house. So all she wants to do is.

00:07:00 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 5:

That's not the same.

00:07:01 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 1:

And have me help. He says that's the equivalent for them. It's not the same at all.

00:07:05 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 5:

That doesn't make me want to clean up. Like Meg wants a lot of sex. But it takes her three seconds to get me into sex. Like whether I'm in the mood or not, no matter how tired I am, guess what? It only takes five seconds to change my mind. It's not like cleaning the house. Because no matter what she does, I'm not going to want to clean the house with her. So you get a lot of it, huh?

00:07:23 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 1:

Mm-hmm.

00:07:23 - 00:07:23 | Unknown:

Wow.

00:07:24 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 1:

Lucky bastard there.

00:07:25 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 5:

Dude, last night I was like, my head was spinning from my concussion. I was so tired and ready, and then she changed my mind a few seconds.

00:07:31 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 1:

Wait a second. I thought you weren't supposed to get physically active.

00:07:33 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, they said rest my brain. I wasn't using my brain.

00:07:37 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 1:

Wait, and I thought that Meg was also an advocate of you not. She was. She's willing to, she's trying to kill you, isn't she? No.

00:07:46 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 5:

I laid there and let her do all the work. I wasn't exerting a lot of physical activity.

00:07:52 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. Mike, you hear this? Forget video games. I know, right?

00:07:57 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to make concussion sex. Concussion sex. That's why I'm not going to complain if she wants to go play video games. That's fine with me.

00:08:06 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 1:

This is craziness here. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 or text 95500. A couple of listeners texting in this morning saying that they are the female gamer to their guy who is the boring, wants-to-watch movies guy.

00:08:22 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 5:

Hold up. Don't make us sound boring just because we don't game.

00:08:25 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 1:

Well, no, there are some people that it's not even so much not gaming. It's wanting to do things that were boring around the house. What's going on, Mojo in the morning? Hello.

00:08:36 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 3:

Mojo, it's Lisa. I want to play a game with Spike.

00:08:39 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. Let's play a game with Spike. What do you got? What do you want to play?

00:08:43 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 3:

How many times today have you said, because of my concussion? Yes.

00:08:51 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 5:

It's on my mind today. I'm not feeling good at all today. The last two days, I felt fine. But today, hot garbage.

00:08:59 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 1:

It used to be because of my back.

00:09:01 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 5:

So, yeah.

00:09:02 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 4:

I'm so glad you went, Spike. And I'm so glad I yelled at you the other day. Yeah.

00:09:06 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

00:09:06 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 5:

You were the one.

00:09:07 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 4:

You're the best, Lisa.

00:09:07 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 1:

But Lisa, he's having wild sex, he says. Don't you think he should be resting? For the record, he didn't say that. He says, well, he's not supposed to do any, Shannon. You're always sticking up for him. His doctor said no activity. I'm not always sticking up for him. No physical activity. His doctor said rest your brain. Well, do you not think he's working his brain when he's having sex? He's not going to rest his brain. He needs to sit in a dark room like Aaron Rodgers is doing and meditate. Right, Lisa?

00:09:40 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 5:

It was dark.

00:09:41 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 4:

The question that we have to ask is, what does Meg think about this?

00:09:46 - 00:09:48 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, what does she think about what?

00:09:48 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 4:

Is it spectacular, or is it all in his brain?

00:09:51 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 5:

Oh, about the sex or the concussion?

00:09:54 - 00:09:54 | Unknown:

Both.

00:09:55 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 5:

Well, she's laughing at the concussion because it just lined up with on the tail end.

00:10:00 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 7:

of me finally feeling better from throwing my back out shovel in snow all of a sudden i got a concussion so she literally said i see why she's so turned on by you yeah exactly right she's gonna be pushing me around in a wheelchair she said she literally said so have you given any thought to what next week injury is going to be to get you out of exercising um we got another lisa on the

00:10:23 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 2:

phone hi lisa what's up hi mojo um well first of all i called you the other day about the 10 pound chihuahua um anyways i was calling um my husband he used to play 12 hours at a time first person really he would from sometimes when he first get up in the morning he'd either get on his phone or his laptop and he would just go go playing that's an addiction yeah he's one of those guys

00:10:54 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 8:

that you could walk naked in front of while he's playing video games those shooter games and he

00:10:57 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 4:

would just push you aside we did it yeah yeah that was a great contest yeah we had we had a

00:11:07 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 8:

listener do that to their spouse yeah get naked right in front of them and just see what they would do and nothing happened yeah well the no the guy lost the game and he was all upset he was mad um i'm sorry i went to the next line uh joe what's going on

00:11:23 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 9:

Hey, my wife always gets mad when I'm on my phone playing games or when I want to play hockey on the PlayStation. She'll go and turn it off on me.

00:11:37 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 2:

How dare you? How much are you playing?

00:11:40 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 7:

Maybe like an hour.

00:11:42 - 00:11:42 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay.

00:11:43 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 7:

Really? I don't buy it.

00:11:44 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, there's more to this story. You're not telling us.

00:11:47 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 7:

It might feel like an hour. Is it an hour when you're supposed to be in church with her and the kids? Yeah.

00:11:52 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 9:

As a kid, we weren't allowed to play video games until we did all our chores.

00:11:58 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. Isn't that funny as a kid? What about as an adult? Are you doing your chores?

00:12:04 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 9:

Well, I have nine brothers, and we all did our chores.

00:12:07 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 7:

No, we're talking now in your relationship. What are you not doing now that is pissing her off? Because she wouldn't be mad over an hour of video games.

00:12:16 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 9:

Not cooking?

00:12:18 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 8:

She wants you to cook. Cook a little bit. There you go. Give her a little bit. You'll get a little bit.

00:12:24 - 00:12:25 | Speaker 7:

True.

00:12:25 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 8:

Yeah.

00:12:26 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 7:

Are you doing it the second you get home from work, you get on the games?

00:12:30 - 00:12:44 | Speaker 9:

No. So I'm waiting for my permanent residence to get finalized. So I'm at home all day with our son, taking care of him, cleaning the house. And then when you come home, I want to, like, release. You want a little break?

00:12:45 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 8:

Hey, Mike, does Allie have any room for that girl's night out for Joe's girl?

00:12:50 - 00:12:54 | Speaker 6:

because it sounds like she needs to get her out of the house. A chocolate stroll in Rockford.

00:12:55 - 00:12:56 | Speaker 8:

That's what she's doing?

00:12:56 - 00:12:57 | Speaker 6:

A chocolate stroll?

00:12:57 - 00:12:59 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God. That sounds spectacular. I will take Allie.

00:13:00 - 00:13:08 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, so they walk around and go to all these different chocolate shops in Rockford, and then I guess there's booze. She's not drinking, but last year she went. There's booze and everything. It's a ton of fun.
