Mojo in the Morning Show, Home of the War of the Roses, the Throwback Throwdown, Second Date Update, Five Lies to Tell Your Mom, and of course, the Dirty on the 30. Shannon's got that coming up. so whenever you have somebody new starting at your work my favorite thing is nobody ever just goes up and introduces themselves and starts talking to them before they go around and talk about them like that's always the thing that ends up happening in any office it could be a new guy or girl that starts in the office everybody always goes oh so what's the story with this person oh who's that person whatever it's never like hey how you doing you seem like you're new here let me introduce myself to you um but mike's got somebody new in his office uh-huh and now this new person is going to be that person that you'll always remember after this particular thing yeah

00:03:05 - 00:03:11 | Speaker 6:

to be fair i took uh this guy out to lunch so i can talk uh about him now so it's okay oh you

00:03:11 - 00:03:15 | Speaker 5:

did you buy it pay for it yeah oh good so now i'm gonna now i'm gonna talk about him all right

00:03:15 - 00:04:52 | Speaker 6:

on the radio did you do it for that purpose no no no no okay good i just did it because he was He was new, and he was very excited about the business, so I didn't introduce myself. That being said, he handles stressful situations different than anybody else that I've ever seen working in this building for as long as I have. Like, I'm not saying the way I do it's right either. I'm an overreactor. If something bad happens, I will overcorrect. I will over try to fix the problem instead of just fixing it. Now, sometimes it works, and sometimes it's just even a bigger mess. but the one of the water bottle uh water uh what is it called water coolers here broke and it's like one of those big ones that plug into the wall and and it broke like mid show and he works for a different show here in the building and it's spewing water everywhere like a volcano it's going all over electrical stuff it's bad it's really real like puddles in the carpet giant giant puddles in the carpet and i walk around uh to get to grab some water and he he's looking at looks up at me and then walks back to his studio and just sits there again this is doesn't do anything about the water does nothing not a thing at all and i'm like he's clearly freaking out right now because he's i mean there's paper towel right there he could have taken the paper towel put it down on it and and while that's not going to soak everything up it it does something you know i mean you're attempting to fix the situation he did nothing to the point where when his shift was done again it's still water all over this electrical stuff he just left for the day he just went home i don't know if he told anybody or or what could have even been done but

00:04:52 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

and for those that uh don't uh know about electrical and water yeah it's

00:05:00 - 00:05:14 | Speaker 1:

It's not the greatest thing for what you have, you know? Like, if we ever have, and I've had this happen to me, I'll, like, spill, like, my water or I'll spill, like, a coffee or something, and it gets anywhere near the control board, it's panic time, right?

00:05:15 - 00:05:15 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yes.

00:05:15 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 3:

We all come running.

00:05:17 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 2:

Have you ever spilled, like, a drink next to your board right there and went, oh, my God.

00:05:21 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 1:

More Mojo podcast, right before the More Mojo podcast. It's like freaking out because, I mean, God knows that we probably don't have any replacements for any of the stuff that we have in here. But, yeah, it's not very good. So did you ever verbally say anything to him? Or did you just let this go and then just let him go home that day and do whatever he was doing?

00:05:42 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 2:

So I was so fascinated by his reaction to it, which was, again, nothing, nothing at all, that I wanted to just kind of see how it played out. Because, I mean, this isn't like a radio thing. If it was like, hey, I spilled something on the board. What do I do? Can you help me? But I would have helped him because he's new to the business. But this is like, there's a spill. My toddlers do this all the time. There's a spill on the floor. What do we do when there's a spill on the floor? We put some towels on it. We clean it up. It's no big deal. Clean it up. Clean it up. Clean it up.

00:06:09 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 1:

You know what's funny? Everybody, everywhere. My wife, if she's listening to this, is thinking that that guy is either me or one of my three sons. because anytime there's something that's on the ground or on the floor or on a countertop, we don't do it. And she goes, you guys walk by this thing. So Chelsea has gotten into the point now where she will leave it like that.

00:06:32 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 3:

Good for her.

00:06:33 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 1:

And she'll leave it like that. And then what she does is you should do this, Mike, with the water. Take items that are his, like Chelsea has done with items that are ours, and put them in the mess that's there. So all of a sudden you look and you're like, why is my shirt in the middle of dog food that's on the floor or something?

00:06:53 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 2:

It's so great. That is really smart.

00:06:56 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 1:

He's got a chair he sits in every day. I'm just going to move his chair. Put his chair right in the middle of the puddle. Although, do you think he would be oblivious to it that he would just go grab his chair and move his chair back?

00:07:08 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. He's one of those guys, and he's a good dude, but he's so nervous about everything right now that he, I think he would be, he would just leave it there and work from there because he thinks it's that, well, this is how I'm supposed to do it.

00:07:21 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 4:

It's probably, Mike, because I think I know who you're talking about. And I'm wondering if he didn't want to be caught cleaning it up for fear that everybody else would think that he was the one that caused it. Being the new guy, you know, he didn't want to be blamed for it.

00:07:37 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 2:

But I think he did cause it. That's okay. Spills happen and that's okay. We just got to clean it up when we're done.

00:07:44 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 1:

I see nothing. I know nothing. Can I tell you that the thing that drives me crazy, and this is, I'm going to add a couple here to the people in the office. The person who goes to the restroom. Does this happen in the women's restroom? They go to the restroom, all right? They do their duties, and then you go into the restroom after them, and you don't even see them leaving, whatever. You just go in, and the bathroom has the streak marks all over the toilet.

00:08:15 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 3:

This just happened in the girl's bathroom here. Stall number one. People don't flush their poops for some reason.

00:08:21 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 1:

Well, I'm not talking the thing was already flushed.

00:08:25 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 3:

But they left remnants.

00:08:26 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

But there was marks that were all there. Like, I'm a person, after I flush, I look to make sure everything is flushed down because of us as a show. Yes. Because we talk about it, and I know that other people talk about it, too. Yeah. So these people don't obviously look at the flushing that happens, but then these are also the same people that I swear to you and kind of like maybe this particular person that Mike's talking about. I have gone into our office, so it's one of all you people because usually we're not allowing people in there unless it's maybe Rhonda who used to steal from Reese all the time. but you guys somebody will leave the door open the to the refrigerator and I feel like I have to call your mothers and have your mother say did you leave the door open were you born in a barn my mom used to always say but it always it always ends up having and I sit there and I think to myself I'm like I get you know you kind of go with your thing but then I've I've had this happen and I'm not going to say who it was, but there's one person particularly in this office area here, not in the studio with us right now. So it's not you, Shannon, because right now it's you and I alone in our Detroit studio, but somebody outside of the studio that has gone into the office. I've seen them leave the office, and they walked out and did not close the refrigerator, even though they weren't the ones that left it open. Because I said, hey, did somebody leave the refrigerator door?

00:10:00 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 2:

open and that particular person goes yeah i saw it open i don't know who was that was i'm going wait a second you saw it open but yet you still didn't close it you know what i mean it's kind of like the mic situation here it's like you saw this there why would you not do something about it why would you not and if you get caught doing that like because everybody does embarrassing things that they don't mean to do just own it just own it you did it it's okay you don't have to deny it just own it i mean honestly nobody's gonna ever judge you except for at what time is hi chelsea it's mojo in the morning show what's going on good morning mojo good morning uh just

00:10:39 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 4:

calling to kind of comment on this whole uh story about people not cleaning after themselves in the toilet we had the same situation at our workplace and it came down to a point where we actually put up a sign with peppy lepew on it that says please make sure you clean the toilet and spray when you when you're done to be courteous to your employees and what a difference that made the next week everybody clean the toilet that's what we need the fact that you even had to do that right yeah oh it's pathetic and it's it's disgusting i don't want to look at your poop when i go in there

00:11:14 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 2:

you know what's i'm amazed by i'm amazed that there are people that are here that do this knowing that we have clients in all day recording commercials. You know, we have promotional, like, people that we do stuff with. You know, there's, like, people from the Live Nation, the people that give us our concert tickets, like, coming to visit and have meetings with our big boss. Could you imagine Dave Clark from Live Nation having to go check out, you know, somebody's streak marks in the bathroom? Yeah, I can't because it happens. He's not going to be, he's not going to give us as many Taylor Swift tickets. It's going to be a very bad day.

00:11:50 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 4:

I don't want to see it or smell it.

00:11:52 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 2:

Exactly. Thank you. Jen, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:11:57 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 4:

Morning, Mojo. Love you guys. We love you, too. Love you, too. I listen to you every day on the way to work, and I have to be there at 8, and I get so mad I have to, like, shut it off and watch the podcast later because I can't hear the

00:12:09 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 2:

whole show. Thank God, by the way, that we have that podcast for that reason. But thank you for saying that. That's very kind of you. What's going on?

00:12:15 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 4:

so my daughters are 16 and 13 and i don't get off work till five and they get home from school around three if they spill anything they will take toilet paper paper towels or newspaper and just cover it up and then when i get home they'll be like hey mom can you get that

00:12:34 - 00:12:41 | Speaker 2:

that's by the way that's the guy in our office here that mike's talking about this morning

00:12:41 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 4:

exactly so blown away come on ladies you gotta step it up at some point

00:12:47 - 00:13:02 | Speaker 2:

have a great day jen we'll see uh what's going on danielle hi mojo good oh danielle i'm sorry i just looked at the call screen board hi how are you

00:13:02 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 5:

It is so disgusting that adult women are so nasty in the bathroom. I work in an office building, and we all share a bathroom. This person went into the bathroom, did not make it on time, and just went everywhere, all over the floor. It was all over the floor. And there's still splatter on the wall until this day. Somebody made a stinky.

00:13:32 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 2:

Oh my god So wait, so can you guys go walk in there later And see this She didn't clean up after herself Or herself?

00:13:42 - 00:13:54 | Speaker 5:

No, no And even I even put a note On the mirror in the bathroom To the cleaning people That this was disgusting And there's still remnants on the wall On the wall

00:13:54 - 00:14:02 | Speaker 3:

Like what position are you in? I don't I really don't understand It's raining from the ceilings.

00:14:03 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 2:

That's amazing.

00:14:04 - 00:14:09 | Speaker 3:

You are twerking and pooping. Yeah, halfway squat going down and trying to miss the toilet.

00:14:10 - 00:14:15 | Speaker 2:

Do you have a theory of who it might be? Like, is there a lead suspect in that building?

00:14:17 - 00:14:24 | Speaker 5:

You know, there's so many people. It's like an open building to the public. So it could be so many people.

00:14:24 - 00:14:28 | Speaker 2:

Could you imagine being in that much of a hurry? That much of a hurry.

00:14:28 - 00:14:32 | Speaker 5:

got that diarrhea. They took out the diarrhea from the restaurant next door.

00:14:32 - 00:14:43 | Speaker 2:
