So Mike is back. he went on a week vacation with his in-laws down to florida you went to a place in florida that i've heard so many people talking about it seems like the last five or six years it's become like the hot spot it's like the destine area florida right yeah yeah miramar beach destine area and so mike is uh is back and we don't know exactly how did you do the road trip because before you left you were trying to see if a listener would give you their car to drive and then you would trade something either a service or something that you know would be beneficial to them for use of their

car for a week and what did you do so we ended up going through toro and getting a uh a 2023 three kia sportage like hybrid because it was like brand new all the features were there uh it was rental so like i don't have to worry about miles or anything and then it was hybrid so i literally paid 80 bucks in gas to get to florida wow yeah yeah yeah yeah and so on top of that we got ali uh a bunch of different things for the ride she got this big like cushion for the the The seats were spacey enough, but the chairs itself, sitting for that long for her would have been pretty rough. So we got her this big cushion. She got compression socks, which side note. That's so smart. Yeah. I don't know if I was supposed to be excited about this, but I got very excited over those. They were like knee-high compression socks. Damn, soxy. Maybe it's been a minute. Wait, remind listeners how many weeks along she is. She is, so she has four weeks left. I'm trying to do the math. So she's 36 weeks. Thank you. Yeah. So she's due at the end of this month into like maybe June. Maybe June.

So we spent a lot of time on this road trip, too. just like the kids would fall asleep so we'd have all this time to get into like deep conversations and that's why I love road trips is because you you you are not forced to but you have a lot of opportunity to have these great conversations and uh the other person can't walk out of the room or or whatever so we had some wonderful conversations and then finally got into

all right, we need to decide a boy's name. We cannot go into the delivery room and not have a name. So we went over 8 million names. We went through apps. We went through, we would see stuff on the side of the road, and we'd say that. We finally found a name, and we're like, this is it. We got a middle name. We got a first name. We had all these different meanings on why we loved the name. Then we get to Florida, and we start doing all these fun things, and we go to an aquarium and go to, like, this dolphin show, and all these little dolphins are flipping around and dancing and kids love it and it's a lot of fun. And then the stupid dolphin's name was that name. No. Yes.

Oh, my God.

So I don't know if it's like when you get a car or when you find a name, you seem to hear it everywhere. But every single place we go, we see that name. And some of it's good. Some of it's really, really good. And then some of it is dolphins. And I'm like, well, was the dolphin good?

Was it well-behaved? Because that always is a factor.

I asked the kids if that was their favorite, and they said, no, Zeke was their favorite.

leather grips on the handles they got the one that's got like two kids can fit into it um but i think that's what happens with this name thing i think that it's a it's a subconscious psychological

some kind of thing it could be but what happens if like because the dolphin thing is is wild and it's kind of hard to stick with the name after you've seen the dolphin really i was gonna that was my question is is the name out now i don't know i don't know i went back we went back and forth again but like what if something more serious were to happen i i can't think of anything off the top of my head but i don't know that we keep this name i think it's a sign that's the name

So when we were naming our son, we went through, like, just like my gajillion names. And my husband was dead set on the name Oliver. And I looked him dead in the face. I'm like, I'm not naming my son after the boy who killed Jon Snow.

this kid up for a problem later in life brandy what's up hey hey um so i wanted to name my son sebastian and i would tell people the name and they would be like oh like the little mermaid i'm like no not like the little mermaid it was actually supposed to be from like uh another movie but everyone only reference to the stupid crab from Little Mermaid.

That's a fun crab, though.

I don't want people to think of this stupid crab every time they think of his name. So I changed it. His name is Gabriel now. Gabriel. I love both names.

That's a great name. I like this one. Octavia had to change the name because your husband, why?

He couldn't. He said he couldn't spell it. So we had So we had the name Jeremiah picked out. And so it was between, like, Jeremiah, Jordan, and, like, something else. And so I was really stuck on Jeremiah. And so the lady comes in to do the birth certificate. She's like, okay, well, what's the baby's name going to be? So I looked at him, and I'm like, okay, Jeremiah. He's like, no, I don't really – I don't know how to spell that. I said, you idiot. What do you mean you don't know how to spell Jeremiah? So we ended up going with Jordan because he's not my ex-cousin, but he was a dodo bird during the time.

I hate to say this, though, but there are certain names I have a hard time spelling if I have to do it. Jeremiah is a tough one. Remember, whenever we do throwback throwdown, we have that Jeremiah and then Jeremiah. Well, yeah. But the other word, too, is I have no idea how to spell the word restaurant. For some reason, I always get caught on restaurant.

Same. Same. If it wasn't for autocorrect, that word would never be spelled right. I, for some reason, can't figure it out.

But my name is Octavia. That's not an easy name compared to Jeremiah.

No, I disagree. I think Octavia is easier than Jeremiah. Oh, me too. Even the eyes would mess me up.

Did he ever have problems with spelling your name?
