Download the Moto Casino app today. All right. Mojo in the morning. 104.5 SNX, channel 955 and 92.5 KISS FM. Mike, you're getting ready to go on a family vacation. It's his family vacation just before they have this brand new baby. and it's a road trip vacation because the doctor would not allow for mike's wife to fly and get in an airplane yep but something might keep you from going on this vacation and what exactly is it

00:02:45 - 00:03:24 | Speaker 5:

the car uh is not really suitable to road trip with uh with my wife and being pregnant and honestly when i got the car a few years ago uh i wasn't planning on going on long road trips for it so as of right now i don't think this car will make it to florida and the idea i was thinking was and tell me if you guys like it maybe there's a different angle we could do with it but maybe somebody lets me use their really really luxurious nice car and then i just like give you my car for the weekend or if i have you want my ps5 you can have like collateral yes yeah yeah so you know i'm

00:03:24 - 00:03:41 | Speaker 3:

coming back like i'll be back so so okay so we've done before the the contest on the show where we did tradeo remember that where we did uh we did the bit that we were talking about which was a pencil to a porsche where we're trying to see if we could trade an item to get an item but that was

00:03:41 - 00:03:45 | Speaker 9:

basically to keep it remember we didn't we isn't that how we got the mini horse yeah we ended up

00:03:45 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 3:

actually i need to call that girl we haven't checked on the mini horse in how long no i need for something oh okay and it's ours well we did that but this one would not be tradio this would

00:03:57 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 5:

be like borrowing yes yeah yeah because i'll give it back i just honestly i think we would we would make it in this car but my wife is not going to be very comfortable and we've had conversations where i said you know maybe we shouldn't go this year and she's like no we need this we gotta go they won't let me fly but they said we could drive in a car i bow down to ellie for wanting

00:04:18 - 00:04:21 | Speaker 8:

to be in a car for that long this pregnant.

00:04:21 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 7:

She is crazy. She is crazy. Isn't this the same trip that you said you wanted a bucket in the back for the kids to go to the bathroom?

00:04:28 - 00:04:33 | Speaker 5:

No, it's an actual car potty, but we're also going like three days.

00:04:33 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 3:

Are you saying that somebody's not going to lend them their car knowing that there's going to be a poop bucket in the back? I mean...

00:04:38 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 5:

It wouldn't be for poop. We're not pooping in the car.

00:04:42 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 9:

So what are you looking for? Like a really nice minivan or like a Tahoe or something like that? Just like a big, big SUV, Suburban.

00:04:49 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, just something to be – so she's comfortable in the car. Right. You know what I mean? And like I said, I'll leave my car. I'll leave a PS5. I'll trade you whatever you want to trade.

00:05:00 - 00:05:14 | Speaker 3:

Does not matter. I just think that, like I said, we're going three days, so she's going to be comfortable. We're only going short spurts, but I know that my car right now, the car that I have, was not necessarily built for road tripping.

00:05:14 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 4:

And what is that car that you have again? It's a Kia Sorento?

00:05:19 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 3:

Sorento.

00:05:19 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 2:

Not Sorento.

00:05:20 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 3:

No, yeah. It's a great car. Don't get me wrong, but I bought it a few years ago, and I don't think it'll make it. You know what I mean? Yeah. It's a good car. I recommend getting a brand new one, but I wouldn't take the one that I have now for a 15-hour, 16-hour road trip. Yeah.

00:05:35 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so I actually appreciate Mike on this one because I appreciate the fact that he wants to take care of his family, and I also appreciate the fact that he wants his wife to be comfortable, and I kind of understand that, you know, you can't fly, which flying is expensive, but also it's expensive to try to even rent a car nowadays. It's, like, expensive to do that. Like, everything's expensive. And maybe we have, like, one of those unbelievable listeners that has a car that, you know, they don't necessarily need to be driving to and from work for, like, a week. They could drive in maybe your car. Or what does Allie drive?

00:06:15 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 3:

She's got an Acadia, a GMC Acadia. But that's, it's like a 2009 or something. So you're not trusting it to make it down.

00:06:22 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 2:

I was going to say, Acadia's a nice SUV. Right. I don't want anything for free.

00:06:25 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 3:

If I have to do chores at your house for a week I'll do chores at your house I don't want it for free I'll bargain with you But you just tell me what I gotta do And I'll make it happen

00:06:36 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 4:

Christina, what's going on?

00:06:38 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 1:

Hi, nothing

00:06:40 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Christina? You actually said that you would be part of this little Barrio that Mike wants to do

00:06:47 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 1:

As long as my husband doesn't care Yep

00:06:51 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 4:

What do you have that you would lend him?

00:06:54 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 1:

I have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee.

00:06:57 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 4:

Oh, wow. That's a nice vehicle. That's a beautiful one. Do you think it would make it to Florida and back?

00:07:02 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 1:

It is. It's really nice.

00:07:03 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 4:

Well, it's 2015. How many miles you got on it?

00:07:06 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 1:

I have under 100,000.

00:07:09 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 4:

Under 100,000? I just got it.

00:07:10 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 2:

But is that going to be any comfier for Allie than your Kia Silento?

00:07:15 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 4:

It's the red toe.

00:07:17 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 2:

I know.

00:07:18 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 4:

Honestly, Cherokee is nice. I don't know.

00:07:21 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 2:

I'm just asking the question. I feel like he wants something big I feel like you want a minivan so she can

00:07:26 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 3:

You know really have Or like a larger SUV

00:07:30 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 2:

Like a big guy

00:07:31 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah where she's sitting in like a luxury chair

00:07:34 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 1:

There's a seating but it is definitely bigger

00:07:37 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 3:

Why don't you rent an RV that you can like Ride in How much are those expensive? Get her like a captain's chair

00:07:45 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 4:

That would be actually nice That's a green idea

00:07:49 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 2:

That's what you need to do we have a lot of listeners that have RVs.

00:07:54 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, has anybody got an RV that they're not using? I mean, it's early for RV season, isn't it? What's up, Abe?

00:08:00 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 5:

Hey, good morning, guys. How you doing?

00:08:02 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 4:

Good. What's going on?

00:08:04 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 5:

I just have a question for Mike. I mean, he's going on the air right now trying to find somebody to trade him a car. But I know Mojo has a nice, beautiful, luxurious Tahoe.

00:08:14 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 3:

I did see that in his garage. I did see that beautiful car in his garage. Oh, crap. Is that why this

00:08:20 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 2:

topic is happening? Why don't you just ask them?

00:08:23 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 4:

Hold on, Abe. Wait a second, Abe. I think we got a problem here, Abe. Is there, Abe? Abe? What's up, Mojo? I can hear you. Abe, listen, I have no problem. I would lend Mike in a second my Tahoe to be able to use this thing. And honestly, I trust him. He's a great driver. But Do you know how high of miles I have right now on a 12,000-mile lease?

00:08:58 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 5:

Oh, well, you know, this is for your friend. I mean, I would do it for my friend.

00:09:02 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 4:

What do you have? What do you drive?

00:09:05 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 5:

I drive a Ram.

00:09:06 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 4:

I would like, by the way, anybody who's friends with Abe to call us up and tell us if Abe would do anything for his friends. Is he one of those?

00:09:13 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 2:

Do you let people borrow your Ram when they're moving?

00:09:16 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 4:

Yes, Abe, do you?

00:09:17 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it depends who It depends how far

00:09:21 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 4:

Actually, honestly, Mike If you wanted to borrow my Tahoe And if you were You know, in a jam I'd let you use the Tahoe

00:09:31 - 00:09:40 | Speaker 3:

I know, but it is a long drive It's like a 15 hour, you're going to put a couple thousand miles On this car That's why I'm not taking my car That and comfortability for my wife That's why we're not going

00:09:40 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 4:

How many miles is it? You're going to where? Northern Florida, right?

00:09:43 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, Miramar Beach It's about 900 and it's under a little under a thousand one way. And that's why that's again, why this rental is not going is because I don't want to put a bunch of money on it or a bunch of miles on it. And then I also don't want my wife to ride that far in a smaller SUV.

00:09:58 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 4:

I do have to, by the way, get it. the the oil change is is it for this weekend right you're going leaving this weekend leaving

00:10:04 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 3:

thursday afternoon and then back the following uh like a week later if nobody's got anything

00:10:10 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 4:

better mike you are always uh able and as long as you plug gordon chevrolet the entire way down there you have to like call us up and do quick little updates on how great the car is with gordon chevrolet okay because if that's what i do i i get a good deal because i always just throwing plugs. What's going on? Tara,

00:10:29 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 2:

are you there? Yes, I am. Tara, Mike. So, I have two young kids, just me and my husband. Anytime we go for a trip, we usually rent a vehicle through Costco Travel. So, if you're a member at a Costco or know somebody that is, they get significant discounts.

00:10:44 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 1:

Wait, this is game changer. I did not know you could rent cars at Costco.

00:10:49 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 2:

Yes, that's the whole reason. That is the whole reason we have a Costco membership. Holy crap. So, originally when I plugged in just random dates i didn't know when you were going i didn't catch that um for like five days for a minivan those dates it showed like three hundred and some dollars but the dates that you're going um even though it's still not too terribly bad um a standard suv like a ford edge 539 i'm looking here to see if i can find like the minivan oh you're sweet she's doing the research yeah you're like old school travel agent i love it yeah no i was at a train track so um you can They also do very similar things through, I think Uber now has an option, and their prices are relatively similar, if not maybe like $100 cheaper. But you go in, you put your pickup and drop-off location. So for you, I just did Detroit Metro. I'm not really sure where you actually live.

00:11:38 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 4:

He's in Grand Rapids.

00:11:39 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. So go to CostcoTravel.com. You can look and see whatever you need without having a membership number. And then if you go to book, you just need a membership. It's unlimited mileage, two drivers. You don't have to pay for the additional person. It is awesome.

00:11:53 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 4:

Wow, that is unbelievable.

00:11:55 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 2:

We just got back from a trip, and it paid for itself just with the number of crumbs, wrappers, my toddler throwing up all over the car for car sickness.

00:12:04 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 4:

Wait, do you have to pay for cleanup on that or no?

00:12:08 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 2:

Well, it was just mostly in his car seat, so we just took the car seat off. But, no, you can just return it. So there was sand everywhere. There were crumbs everywhere. You just return it, full tank of gas, and it's like no questions asked. That's amazing.

00:12:20 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it is. What do they do it through other rental car companies?

00:12:24 - 00:12:25 | Speaker 2:

I'm sorry?

00:12:25 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 4:

Is it through rental car companies?

00:12:28 - 00:12:38 | Speaker 2:

So, like, we always rent through Toledo Airport. That's the location that we pick up. So whatever they have, like if it's Expo, Enterprise, Avis, it'll show up on the website what your prices are and what your options are.

00:12:39 - 00:12:43 | Speaker 4:

That's awesome. Mike, I love that idea. Thank you for that, Tara. That's a great piece of advice.

00:12:44 - 00:12:46 | Speaker 2:

You don't pay until you pick it up.

00:12:47 - 00:12:56 | Speaker 4:

Love that idea. We'll have to try that out. Thank you. Steven's also got a great idea and actually might even be funnier than you. Taking my car and doing the update.

00:12:57 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 2:

I say you can go to U-Haul, get a U-Haul van or a U-Haul truck.

00:13:01 - 00:13:13 | Speaker 3:

They got new vans. Well, let's talk about comfort. That's part of this. Think about it. You could put a living room in the back of the U-Haul. I'm not thinking that's going to be comfortable. Put a couch back there. You can lay on the couch. Or you can even have all your stuff with you and everything.

00:13:13 - 00:13:15 | Unknown:

All your stuff and everything.

00:13:15 - 00:13:21 | Speaker 3:

I appreciate the creativity. I like that idea. I ain't coming back then. I'm moving my stuff down to Florida and staying.

00:13:21 - 00:13:26 | Speaker 4:

You have your family in the back of the U-Haul with all your couches and your living room and all that stuff?

00:13:27 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 3:

Well, they got 16 passenger vans, too. I don't know how comfortable that might be. Oh, like church vans.

00:13:32 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 4:

Those are great. Those church vans are amazing.

00:13:35 - 00:13:37 | Speaker 1:

Everybody gets their own row.

00:13:38 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 4:

Thank you. Thank you. And, Stephen, you've done this before, and this has worked.

00:13:45 - 00:13:45 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:13:46 - 00:13:46 | Speaker 4:

All right.

00:13:46 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 2:

I got a lot of kids, so I'll put them all in the back.

00:13:49 - 00:13:50 | Speaker 4:

How many kids do you have?

00:13:52 - 00:13:52 | Unknown:

Six.

00:13:53 - 00:13:59 | Speaker 4:

Six kids. You want to go on vacation with Mike? You pay for the car rental. He'll let you stay at his place.

00:13:59 - 00:14:01 | Speaker 3:

If he doesn't even pay for the trip, I'll pay for the rental.

00:14:02 - 00:14:09 | Speaker 4:

Mike, this might be a great idea. Talk about Tradio. Could you imagine telling your in-laws, I'm bringing a listener with who's letting us use their car?

00:14:10 - 00:14:11 | Speaker 3:

That'd be fun.

00:14:11 - 00:14:28 | Speaker 4:

Or how about, remember when we did the whole thing, Mike, with you where you forgot your MacBook? book and the listener picked it up and then dropped it back off for you maybe there's a listener that just needs a ride to florida it's like picking up a hitchhiker but you drive the

00:14:28 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 1:

car it's i'll be mel joe's mule it's home alone it's diet candy was it home alone or was is that what it was yeah wasn't it you have to do polka you have to do music in the car yeah that's the greatest tyler reticure from 23 11 racing another checkered flag for the books time to celebrate with Chumba.
