Coming up this morning on the show, Five Lies, Tell Your Mom, The Dirty, Taylor Swift tickets, Pay Your Bills, all happening this morning here on Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning Show. So we were having a discussion before the show started. Mike is getting ready to go on a road trip with his family. He does the annual Mike, Allie, the kids, and the in-laws trip. And I didn't realize it was a road trip. So you guys are actually hitting the road for this.

00:05:49 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah. We were packing up the Sorrento and heading out for, I think, Thursday night in a couple weeks here.

00:05:56 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 2:

It's so funny. Every time you say that, I always forget that Kia has a car called a Sorento because I think that you're saying Sialento. Yeah.

00:06:07 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 3:

No, no. This is that's all I'm going to think about now is Sialento. That's right. Remember that song? Yeah, that's right. Why? And so we are headed to to Florida and we're going to take a couple of days. We were going to drive straight through, but we're going to take, like, two days to drive through and then kind of stop along the way. But my son right now is potty trained, but he's only, like, an hour, maybe 45 minutes amount of time before he has to go to the bathroom again. And other than that, like, he's good. But if he hits that 45 minute to an hour mark, there is a good chance that he's going to have an accident. He's he's so good. He'll race to the bathroom if he's like not in a car or something. But we've never gone this distance with him in the car. Oh, yeah. We're like fearful that he's going to it's going to ruin it. Yeah. Well, he's going to have an accident somewhere or or we're going to have to try to rip off the road and go to the bathroom. So my wife showed me this. This is called a car potty. Yeah, basically. And it's for kids. So like you pull to the side of the road or I guess you couldn't do it while you're driving. But you put it on the side of the road, and he goes to the bathroom, and you basically hold on to it until you get to an actual toilet and then throw it away. And I think this is the most disgusting thing in the entire world. Wait a second.

00:07:28 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 1:

That's a popular thing, Mike. You put it in the back of the car, like in the back of the SUV. Wait. It doesn't get hot and sweaty and smell?

00:07:35 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 2:

What is this thing? Because I want one for me. It's like a little portable. This is for a kid?

00:07:39 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 1:

It's like, you know, the little teeny tiny potties that you use with kids when they're potty training anyway? It's that, essentially. A lot of my friends did that, and they would put Mike, they would use like Target, like Target, like plastic Target bags or plastic Kroger bags, and they would put that in there when it was, when they knew it was going to be a poop, and then tie it up almost like a doggy bag. And then hold on to it? Do you know what I mean? But at least then it's just not out in the open to smell until you get to your next spot. Or they would just run through a place that had fast food or whatever that had a trash can outside and dump it in there.

00:08:16 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 3:

It feels like there's potential for it to spill everywhere. Everywhere.

00:08:21 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 2:

How long of a drive is this that you're going to? Where are you going again?

00:08:25 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 3:

Florida. Miramar Beach, Florida. So it's about 15 hours.

00:08:27 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. And with kids' bladders and everything, it would take you more than 15 hours if you had to stop every single time. Yeah. But as a grown man who has found that after turning 45 years old, I have to pee a lot for some reason now. And after 50 now, I have to poop a lot, too. So it's like really, it comes out of both, you know, the front and the back. I would love to have one of these in my car. I've often thought that the car dealers, you know, the people from the big three, you guys should put where you can, like, lift the seat up and there could be a commode or something, like, right there.

00:09:04 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God, a commode.

00:09:05 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, something inside of your vehicle.

00:09:09 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 1:

Well, you could buy one of these little Mickey Mouse ones and have it. Who's to say there's an age limit on them? There's not. I know.

00:09:15 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 3:

It just feels like it'd fill up fast, and then there's always that. Like, it's like a pot bottle. If you fill up a pot bottle fast enough, it's going to spill everywhere. Yeah. Or a Gatorade bottle or whatever you've used in the past to pee.

00:09:27 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 2:

Remember, was it a month or two months ago that I had to pee so bad that I did it in a water bottle?

00:09:33 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:09:34 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 2:

And I actually showed you guys all that. You guys all thought it was kind of disgusting and stuff.

00:09:38 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 1:

But Mike, you are at that point in potty training where it's like he gets it. He's got it. You do not want to go backwards. So whatever it takes to keep the train moving forward, you do.

00:09:51 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Because he's had an accident since, like just a little one. And the disappointment in his face when he does it is like, I guess I got to go back.

00:10:00 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 1:

to diapers now like you can tell he's like once every time we celebrate him when he goes to the bathroom on the on the potty he's like yeah i'm a big boy now i'm a big boy now and if he goes a little bit in his pants he just he just goes oh and has a moment where he's super sad and bummed about it i don't you're absolutely right i don't want to go back to that right steven what's going

00:10:18 - 00:10:31 | Speaker 4:

on what's up uh good morning everyone i went down to florida myself too and um i had the same issue I had to stop, like, every four hours in order to let the kids go and leave themselves.

00:10:32 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 2:

Really? So how long did it take you to get there past what it would have taken you if you didn't have to stop so much?

00:10:41 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 4:

Probably an extra hour.

00:10:43 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh.

00:10:44 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 4:

16 hours.

00:10:45 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 2:

So would you ever do this? Would you ever put one of these things in your car, like, so your kids are crapping in the car?

00:10:51 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 4:

No, I would have a capitor.

00:10:53 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 2:

Is there a way that you can get their pediatrician To put a catheter in your kids No I don't think so I would love by the way this for myself How about yourself Steven do you have to go to the bathroom From time to time and you don't feel like pulling over

00:11:06 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 4:

No not necessarily I can pretty much hold it for a while

00:11:11 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 2:

What about an adult diaper On you and a diaper back on Milo Mike

00:11:16 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 3:

No diapers no

00:11:18 - 00:11:25 | Speaker 4:

I don't know I was thinking about that lady who was an astronaut and she was riding around with her diaper on for a long time.

00:11:25 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 3:

Oh, but she was crazy.

00:11:27 - 00:11:30 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah, she was.

00:11:30 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 3:

Crazy or crazy smart? No, no. She was actually like cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs. Do you remember that story, what she was doing?

00:11:38 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 2:

I do remember that. She drove like across the country, right? And she was with a diaper on. They found her.

00:11:44 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 3:

But wasn't there like a love triangle? Yes. It was a part of that story.

00:11:48 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 2:

That's a good story to recall. Thank you, Steven. Take care of yourself. Yep. Betty, what's up? Some advice for Mike?

00:11:56 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 6:

Yes. So you can buy, they're called Commode liner. And they have beads in them that will absorb the urine and delete the odor and you tie it up and then you get rid of it later.

00:12:07 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 1:

Oh my gosh. So it could sit in the car for like hours and hours and hours and it doesn't smell at all? It's like poop bags that you use for your dogs.

00:12:15 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 6:

Well, yes, they're used in a nursing home.

00:12:19 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Where do you buy this stuff at? I want one too.

00:12:21 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 6:

You can get them on Amazon. They're called commode liners.

00:12:25 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 2:

Commode liners, Mike.

00:12:26 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 1:

All right. You see me walking around with green bags, little green commode liners at your charity event Thursday. Don't think anything of it, yeah?

00:12:34 - 00:12:51 | Speaker 2:

You know what? It's going to take you, what, two hours to get to that? Two and a half hours, maybe something like that? Let's test it out. Have a test drive. All right. Can you imagine Mike can't get it in the little liner thing, and he comes, and he's got pee all over himself. Nicole, you actually have one of these things that Mike's talking about.

00:12:51 - 00:13:11 | Speaker 7:

We don't have a commode, but we use a urinal in the car, like a little portable urinal that has a cap, because most of the time it's going to be pee that they have to do. So that way it contains that it doesn't spill around in our two-and-a-half-year-old's house when he has to pee in the car. We just pull over anywhere and let him pee in the urinal. That's a great idea.

00:13:11 - 00:13:13 | Speaker 3:

And you said it has a cap so nothing can spill?

00:13:14 - 00:13:24 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, they're, like, super cheap on Amazon. You just type in urinal, and you can fill urinals, and they have a little spout. So it helps that they're not good at eating.

00:13:25 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 2:

When I had my heart surgery in the hospital, I wanted to take this with me because I thought it was so great. They had a handle on it. It actually would have been a great lemonade pitcher for the summertime, except for you'd have to make sure that it was lemonade. And you put it basically on your ding dong. And you put it in there, and then you pee, and then you cover it. Is that what you're talking about?

00:13:48 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, yeah, it's sort of like that. The ones on Amazon kind of have a wider spout, so it works well for a little kid who might not be great at aiming.

00:13:58 - 00:14:02 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Listen, little kids. How about big kids? Mike, how's your aim been?

00:14:03 - 00:14:07 | Speaker 1:

I still use the Cheerios to try to aim in the toilet. What's going on, Miranda?

00:14:08 - 00:14:09 | Speaker 5:

Hi. Good morning.

00:14:09 - 00:14:09 | Speaker 1:

Good morning.

00:14:10 - 00:14:10 | Speaker 2:

Welcome to the show.

00:14:11 - 00:14:28 | Speaker 5:

Thank you. We drove across country to Yellowstone with a child that was potty training. We bought a – it's basically a five-gallon bucket with a toilet seat on it, and it comes with these bags that are filled with something that turns all the liquid into gel. It was a lifesaver.

00:14:29 - 00:14:30 | Speaker 2:

Wow. What a good idea.

00:14:30 - 00:14:32 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah. It was amazing.

00:14:32 - 00:14:39 | Speaker 2:

That's – in – Well, the whole family had to use it. Where was it stored in the back of your vehicle?

00:14:39 - 00:14:50 | Speaker 5:

Just in the back of the trunk, and then it comes in these, like, Ziploc-type bags, too, So you stuff the basically garbage bag back into the Ziploc, zip it up, doesn't smell. It was fantastic.

00:14:51 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 2:

So, Miranda, a quick question for you. Would you continue to be driving while somebody's climbing over the third seat and going back to the?

00:15:00 - 00:15:01 | Speaker 7:

little toilet you had there?

00:15:02 - 00:15:03 | Speaker 6:

I mean, that would be illegal.

00:15:04 - 00:15:06 | Speaker 7:

But. Did you do it?

00:15:06 - 00:15:08 | Speaker 6:

She didn't say no. Possibly.

00:15:10 - 00:15:16 | Speaker 7:

Was it weird, though, for that person? Because I get stage fright if I know that there's somebody outside waiting for my stall to

00:15:16 - 00:15:21 | Speaker 2:

use. Yeah, we had five people in the car, so it was definitely awkward. All eyes are right. No eye contact.

00:15:22 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 7:

And there's no fan.

00:15:24 - 00:15:26 | Speaker 2:

There's no fan, yeah.

00:15:26 - 00:15:38 | Speaker 7:

Did it smell up the car? during yes afterwards no did did somebody uh have a an extra stinky one than the other person did

00:15:38 - 00:15:44 | Speaker 6:

not that i can recall this was years ago okay somebody made a stinky all right thank you for

00:15:44 - 00:15:51 | Speaker 7:

the call take care all right thank you we'll see you mike uh the sorrento does is it big enough to

00:15:51 - 00:16:01 | Speaker 5:

be able to to hold one of these things yeah we just hold down the third row she my wife has no idea now i'm gonna be in the back doing that we're never gonna stop to go to the bathroom i didn't

00:16:01 - 00:16:13 | Speaker 7:

00:16:13 - 00:16:17 | Speaker 5:

00:16:17 - 00:16:29 | Speaker 7:

00:16:29 - 00:16:30 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:16:30 - 00:16:38 | Speaker 7:

Test one, two. All right, good. Working. It literally blew... By the way, I did such an amazing job. I just want you guys to know. Give me an accolade. He needs to pat him back.

00:16:38 - 00:16:47 | Speaker 6:

It was crazy. Everything in the studio went dark. The moment that I said, welcome, and it was like... Dark. It literally something went out. Somebody pulled the plug in here.

00:16:47 - 00:17:05 | Speaker 7:

It's like, I'm telling you, I think that at that particular moment, I was sitting there sitting there thinking to myself, I'm like, was there lightning or something that kind of knocked us off there, but and Mike, you were great, by the way, the transition of probably going from music to whatever you had to go to. Great job. I thank you. That's awesome.

00:17:05 - 00:17:15 | Speaker 5:

I love doing your topic. I know. That was impressive. Incredible. This is not good radio. I know. Every other time when it's normal, like I can't talk at all, but for some reason.
