Now, let's turn to Mike and his Mother's Day because Mike's Mother's Day was really, really special. So special that they almost needed to call the fire department special. Let's just tell you that. Oh, jeez. So, how was Allie's Mother's Day?

00:01:50 - 00:02:43 | Speaker 4:

It was good. It was good. We got her gifts. The kids made her gifts. We got her a Build-A-Bear with the audio from last week where we had kids saying why they love their mom. So we grabbed that and we put it in a Build-A-Bear. That was really sweet. She loved it. And then we were going to do breakfast in bed, which we do every single Mother's Day. But Cecily, who is my daughter and she's eight years old, we've kind of been showing her how to cook a little bit, but we're there every single time. And so she took it upon herself to get up early that morning and woke us both up with a plate of, she made like this little egg sandwich. And I was like, wait a minute, how did you make that? And she goes, I cooked it on the stove. And I said, Cecily, you are incredibly allergic to eggs. I have to crack open the eggs for you. Otherwise you like break out.

00:02:43 - 00:02:45 | Speaker 3:

She's like, oh, I figured it out. I did not know that.

00:02:45 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah. And then it's getting better. But yeah, she, as of right now, she's still pretty allergic to it. And then it, like, as I'm waking up, I'm like, wait a minute, how did you cook this egg? And so I immediately shot up and said, are you cooking on the stove right now? She's like, no, not anymore. I was. So I walked downstairs and, and I, what is that smell? Oh, geez. She had started the oven, the, the, the stovetop part of it and cooked it, cooked it all. and thankfully nothing happened and then went and played video games or watched tv for like 20 minutes and then woke went upstairs because she didn't want to wake us up too early then went upstairs and brought us the plate in that time she had left the the uh the burner on but just not lit so our kitchen is full of of gas and it smells really really bad and had i mean had she done anything else did she try to light and do anything else because she like even the toaster I don't know what would have happened. It would have been a huge, huge fire. And I don't know what would have happened in that moment. I have no idea. I couldn't predict even what would have happened. But I went through, like, being terrified, but also, like, don't scare your child because she's, you know, trying to do these new things.

00:04:01 - 00:04:04 | Speaker 1:

And also was trying to be so sweet. Her intention was so good.

00:04:04 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 2:

So wait, so she was making her mom breakfast in bed because she knows that that's this thing that you guys do.

00:04:11 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

00:04:11 - 00:04:29 | Speaker 2:

And that of her being, again, too young to be using the stove almost caused for a fire. So, I mean, your heart probably was like, this is the most amazing thing ever, but I'm going to kill this kid.

00:04:29 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Well, yes, because it is incredibly, she's got a huge heart. Just the biggest heart in the entire world. And what she was doing was something she had seen And something we, you know, she didn't want to wake us up She wanted to do it on her own And she started to get to that stage And Shannon, you know, because our daughters are close to the same age Where they want to, you know, do things on their own And they're starting to move towards that a little bit But at the same time, you almost blew us up Wow It's terrifying Like my stomach dropped because you smell that And you're like Thank you.

00:05:00 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 1:

what else is lit yeah like don't move nobody do anything because it was i mean it was bad like you know where it hurts your head like yeah it was bad because it sounded to me like the gas was on for a while there and it was kind of the filling up the room a little bit huh yeah and you could hear the soap you hear it going how how amazing of a kid though is that ali's on with us right now ali yeah what are you with cecily right now yeah okay cecily are you can she hear us

00:05:30 - 00:05:32 | Speaker 3:

No, I have you.

00:05:32 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 1:

Before you do that. Okay, I know you probably were freaking out when you found out what she was doing, but how special was that she did that?

00:05:41 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 3:

It was really cute. She was so excited and so proud of herself.

00:05:46 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I mean, that's pretty awesome that she knows and she loves so much that she's wanting to get up and do this before anybody else and surprise everybody else.

00:05:56 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Oh, yeah. And she loves cooking.

00:05:59 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 1:

But then you want to whoop her ass for doing that, right? Get over her.

00:06:05 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 3:

I may have panicked. I may have panicked.

00:06:07 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 1:

Who panicked more, you or dad?

00:06:10 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 3:

Probably dad because he got up first.

00:06:12 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah. What a cool moment. Can we talk to her real quick?

00:06:18 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:06:18 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 1:

All right, put her on. Hello. Hi, Seth. Hey, how are you? Cecily, hi. It's Mojo in the morning. How you doing? Good morning.

00:06:38 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 2:

I'm good.

00:06:39 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 1:

Nice to... Was Mommy's Mother's Day the greatest?

00:06:44 - 00:07:04 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. What did you make for her? Well, we made her breakfast. We made her egg toast. It includes... She's got remnants of it. Pepper jack cheese, meat, and, of course, an egg.

00:07:04 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 1:

Yes. That sounds delicious. That's so cute. That's cute.

00:07:08 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 2:

And she also wanted her car clean, and now her car is all clean.

00:07:14 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's fantastic. Did you do the cleaning with your daddy and with Milo?

00:07:19 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:07:20 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's awesome. But what did we learn from this, Dad, on the whole thing? Seth, what did we learn after making the sandwich two times?

00:07:29 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 2:

Um, that we should not have, that whenever you cook and you're a kid, you always have to have a grown-up.

00:07:39 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that was probably the smartest idea. That's awesome.

00:07:42 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 1:

Well, you are, like, to me, one of the greatest kids ever. I want you to know that, Cecily, and it's great that you learned that. And you are lucky. You've got an incredible mom and an incredible dad. And your dad would like you to grill him steaks at Father's Day, okay? Can you do that? With mommy's help. With mommy's help.

00:08:01 - 00:08:02 | Unknown:

Okay.

00:08:02 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 1:

He likes it. How do you like your steak? Medium, medium rare? What do you like? Medium rare. A little pink. Okay. Happy Mother's Day, Allie.

00:08:11 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 2:

I've never cooked steak before. I don't know how to cook steak. Mom will help you. Mom will help you.

00:08:15 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 5:

Work on that one.

00:08:17 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 1:

Love you so much. Take care of yourself, guys. What's going on, Andrea?

00:08:22 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 4:
