So Mojo in the Morning Show, Jingle Ball tonight. Excited for that. We've got a scam coming up here in a little bit. Today's Senseless Survey Day. We'll get to that in just a few moments. So Mike is hanging out with the dad friends, the friends that are the dads of other kids that Cecily is involved. What is it? What is Cecily doing these days?

00:00:54 - 00:00:58 | Speaker 4:

She has a Christmas concert coming up on the next Monday.

00:00:58 - 00:00:59 | Speaker 6:

For the school?

00:00:59 - 00:01:45 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So they do this thing where, and I just found this out. I found this out at her Halloween parade that we went to, so it was a couple months ago. But they do this thing where I guess the dads just go out and there's a restaurant right up the road from my daughter's school called The Wynn, and they go up there. It's like a sports bar. They go up there, and they just have drinks, and then they meet everybody else at the Christmas concert, and they're like, dude, it's the same songs every single year, and they just do it different. You got to obviously go. It's a great thing, but we've done it for a few years now, so we just have a few drinks before we go. And they're like, if you want to come, you're more than welcome to join us. And I'm like, I don't know that I – I mean, I'm not shaming it at all, but I don't know that I – it's a good move for me to go have some drinks and then go to my daughter's Christmas concert.

00:01:45 - 00:01:55 | Speaker 6:

Oh, man, you got to do that. Actually, I know parents that bring roadies with them. Oh, really? To their kids' holiday concerts. Yes. I was not looking over your way, but I was.

00:01:55 - 00:01:57 | Speaker 3:

I really haven't. It might be fun, but I really haven't.

00:01:58 - 00:02:09 | Speaker 6:

The one that says Shannon on this right in front of you right now. Mike, you should go because you always complain that you don't really have guy friends. And this would be an opportunity for you to get some guy friends.

00:02:09 - 00:02:11 | Speaker 3:

Just have a beer or two. You don't need to be doing shots.

00:02:12 - 00:02:13 | Speaker 4:

No, right, right, right.

00:02:13 - 00:02:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:02:14 - 00:02:31 | Speaker 4:

I feel like if I do that, then everybody's going to look at me weird because nobody else is going. The moms don't go. It's just the dads. So I feel like I'm going to sit down. I'm going to get the evil stare from Allie. or, like, because I know we have other family going. They're going to be like, oh, he just strolled in from the bar.

00:02:31 - 00:02:38 | Speaker 6:

That's the other thing, too, is you can't smell like the alcohol. You've got to make sure you're bringing gum. But the good thing is you have a designated driver now that Allie's pregnant.

00:02:39 - 00:02:41 | Speaker 4:

That is true. That's absolutely true.

00:02:41 - 00:02:53 | Speaker 6:

Do your parents do this? Like, when Luke was doing baseball, that was a total drunk fest. When we would stay overnight at hotels or after tournaments and stuff, we would go meet at Buffalo Wild Wings. The parents would all have fun.

00:02:53 - 00:03:01 | Speaker 4:

Well, that's what I don't know. is like, I'm kind of new to like some of this stuff. So I don't know what are the one, what are the things that you can drink before and what are the things that you shouldn't drink before?

00:03:01 - 00:03:43 | Speaker 3:

I remember when Luce, when I took the day off of work for, which Mojo so graciously gives us every year. And I think it is so important to do the first day of school. And when she was going into kindergarten, first grade, no kindergarten at a new school, she was starting her new school. And some of the moms invited me out after the kids got on the bus. And I was like a blubbery mess. And then all the moms get together and go drink bottomless mimosas, okay? Which is part sadness and part celebration. Yeah, it is. It's part sadness, part celebration. But quite honestly, and I really mean this, that is where I met two of my absolute best girlfriends. That day, doing that after I got loose off to kindergarten.

00:03:43 - 00:03:54 | Speaker 6:

And this is the thing, Mike, you got to be careful of. Sometimes the parents forget that their kids need to come home from school. So you can't be at the bar the entire day, just like you can't be at the bar the entire night and miss the performance.

00:03:55 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 4:

Right, right. Once Monday Night Football, too. So, I mean. Oh. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. We're not going to stay for the.

00:04:01 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 6:

Could you imagine that?

00:04:02 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 3:

Now we know.

00:04:04 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 6:

Did I ever tell you about the time that I was at Luke's performance? It was one of their choir concerts, and he didn't believe that I was there, and he told all of his friends, yeah, I don't think my dad actually came to this thing. I don't think he's there. I sat there the whole time, didn't even get credit for being there. And I'm like, crap. So I had to call other parents that were there and say, will you please tell Luke that I was actually at your performance?

00:04:27 - 00:04:37 | Speaker 1:

I always, always post on social, but it wasn't just because I was proud of my daughters. It was also to make sure they saw the time I arrived, that they knew I was there before they got on stage.

00:04:38 - 00:04:44 | Speaker 6:

So just post. Yeah. Do a pre-post on the whole thing. Just document the whole thing. Exactly.

00:04:44 - 00:04:57 | Speaker 5:
