When Democrats are messing up, I say it. When Republicans are messing up, I say it. I'm Essie Kupp, a journalist and political commentator. And on my podcast, Off the Cup, I help you make sense of the often nonsensical news. I do this on cable news too, but on my podcast, I can really let loose and be my honest, unfiltered self. I just want to talk about something that happened this week because it's so bonkers, so stupid, such incredibly bad politics. We have to talk about it. Come for the hot takes, stay for the sanity. Listen to Off the Cup on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

It's Mojo in the Morning Show. Mike is back. Took a day yesterday to be with Milo. And I think that this was good, Mike, that you did this because poor Allie's had to take, you know, a lot of time off. And our job is no more important than anybody else's job. And I think it's good for dads to do this. So many times I see this where, and I wish I would have done this more with my kids, was, you know, to say, you know what, I'm going to use a personal day or a sick day. What was it like spending time with Milo, getting him rehabilitated and feeling better, and now he's on his feet?

00:02:10 - 00:02:50 | Speaker 5:

Good. You know, I have so much, and speaking of that, I have so much respect for stay-at-home parents, too, and parents that do stay home more than the other parent, like Allie does for us. Because it's, I mean, he's sick. so like he's screaming and we went this weekend at one point um he's got he had a really bad ear infection but you can't get antibiotics anywhere that's like a thing right now i guess there's a shortage yeah so we had to drive all over to try to find that and but you but he's screaming in pain and there's nothing you can do yeah so this we're at the tail end of it now so it's it wasn't as bad as as monday was um from what i hear but i had to give her a break yeah that's good that's

00:02:50 - 00:03:07 | Speaker 4:

Did you guys have fun? Did you do what I always do or did when I was a kid or even as an adult? And you stay home, you watch The Price is Right. You end up, you know, seeing a couple Judge Judy episodes, you know, the bad daytime television, divorce court, whatever it is.

00:03:08 - 00:03:29 | Speaker 5:

So he watched, we watched some cartoons. It's different when you're not the one who's sick because then you end up like doing things that you wouldn't normally do around the house. Like I didn't have work or anything to do and everybody else was gone. So, like, I'm taking care of Milo, and then I'm seeing the neighbors that work from home, and I'm kind of seeing what they're doing, and I'm watching, like, just random things that I wouldn't ever notice throughout the day.

00:03:29 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 2:

That's so interesting to me. Right. Like, the guy on my street that walks his dog five times a day. You know? You never notice that because I'm always here.

00:03:37 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 4:

I feel like a bad dog owner because my dog's going to get walked as much.

00:03:40 - 00:03:43 | Speaker 2:

He has this big black dog. He walks in at least five times in the morning when I was home with COVID.

00:03:43 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. And my neighbor, so I'm learning now after a couple years being there, the neighbor right next to me, and I don't care if he hears me because he's the neighbor that nobody likes. Yeah, yeah. He's got a dog that barks at everybody, but not like where he comes outside and goes, hey, hey, come in, you know, come in. It barks, and then it just barks and barks and barks and barks and barks, and he just allows it. And so it bothers everybody. Nobody says anything, and it just kind of happens or whatever. But I also noticed he's got these bags on the side of his house, and I can see it from out of my kitchen window. And they're like little tiny, like, grocery, those plastic grocery shopping bags. And I've always wondered what they were. I thought it was because he's got rocks and landscape right there. I thought it was like a project he's working on, and the weather just is weird right now, so he just hasn't got to it. But I found out yesterday that what it is is he cleans up his dog's poop and then takes it over to the side of the house. My guess is his wife doesn't even know it's there at all because he takes it to the side of the house and there's like 30 bags of these little tiny. He doesn't like throw it away?

00:04:48 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, why?

00:04:49 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

I think eventually he does because it's never been to the level it's at now. I've noticed it, but again, I've noticed it. How many 30 bags? At least. Oh, you know what? I think I took a picture of it. I did.

00:05:00 - 00:05:03 | Speaker 4:

take a picture of it. Really? Send it in our group chat just so I can see it. Can you

00:05:03 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 3:

compost with dog poop? See, but you don't really want to compost pet poop because it stinks so bad.

00:05:09 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 5:

And it's not good. They'll go back on it

00:05:12 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 3:

and eat their own poop. They're on different diets. It's not like wild animals, like where you have a cow poop or something.

00:05:18 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 5:

Look at how big those bags. That's, by the way. Wait, what kind of dog? Do you have a neighborhood? Whoa, that's like 10 years of poop. Do you have a neighborhood association or anything? No, no, no.

00:05:28 - 00:05:32 | Speaker 3:

That is nasty. Oh, as soon as you have a warm day, that is going to stink.

00:05:32 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 6:

He probably wants to keep it out of his trash can in the garage so it doesn't smell. How much is his dog pooping?

00:05:38 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 3:

Right? That's a lot. Put it away every week.

00:05:41 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, and then the snow melted, so I assume he cleaned up all the poop that was in the snow. But it's not illegal, right? Like, I can't be... No.

00:05:50 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 4:

No, it's not illegal, but it just... Listen.

00:05:52 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 3:

Ew, that's... I stink.

00:05:54 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 5:

That's the worst. That's a lot of poop. And you got to live next to this bastard, huh?

00:05:58 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 6:

If you're at my kitchen sink right now and you're washing your hands or washing a dish, that's what you're looking out to.

00:06:04 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 4:

Everybody's texting that you're going to get rats because don't rats love dog poop?

00:06:10 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 5:

I don't know.

00:06:11 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 4:

I've heard that many times.

00:06:12 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. Well, I'd say this. You're going to get something. It doesn't look like it's something that's good. Although I get to ask you a question. What's better, living next to the guy with dog poop in his bag or the guy that dog poops on your own, your yard? Like lets it go At least he's keeping it on his yard

00:06:32 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 4:

I'm just perplexed by his method of gathering it And not disposing of it

00:06:36 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 3:

Right, that's the thing I don't know how big his dog is But that looks like an entire six months of poop

00:06:41 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 6:

It's like a I don't even know what kind of dog it is But it's like a medium sized dog It's not a big dog And he's out there cleaning it a lot I do notice that He's out there cleaning it But I didn't realize that That's what those bags were

00:06:52 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, like I have a little mini trash can And the doggy bags go into the trash can And then every trash day, you just take those five or six or seven bags from the walks and you put them in the trash can the night before. No, with Dublin. Oh, with Dublin. I still get visitation of my dog. Oh, okay.

00:07:09 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 5:

I was wondering. I was like, wait a second. Did you just get a dog? You know what? A friend of mine had to live in Sylvania, Ohio, next to this house that had all these cars up on blocks, Mike. Oh, no. And they said it was awful. They said it was awful. It was like the whole backyard, front yard, looked like a used car lot.

00:07:31 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 1:

Let the record show again. What would be the worst? I get nothing to instigate me getting called out for it. Absolutely.

00:07:37 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 5:

Why do you assume? Who is it on the show? Megan, Sylvania's got a population that's much bigger than one. I'm sorry.

00:07:43 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 1:

And what does my cars have to do with dog poop in the neighborhood?

00:07:46 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 5:

Megan, why do you personalize everything? You do not have to personalize this. Mike, what would you rather have? Would you rather have?

00:07:55 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 6:

Well, to be fair, I did have a lawnmower in my yard for like the lawnmower.

00:07:59 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 3:

Oh, right. Yeah.

00:08:00 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 5:

Not any better, but. Hold on. Erica, what happened, Erica?

00:08:05 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 1:

Good morning, guys. My mother-in-law, a neighbor behind her, I don't know if they have like mobility issues or what, but like for a while there, there was like a huge mountain of like soiled adult diapers that had collected next to their house. And it was definitely becoming a nuisance for the neighbor.

00:08:22 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 5:

What would be worse, living next to the guy who's got the dog poop or living next to the adult poop, the human poop?

00:08:30 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 1:

I think the adult, I think the human poo always outright.

00:08:33 - 00:08:46 | Speaker 6:

Human poo. By the way. Yeah, what if I just put a bunch of my child's diapers in a bag and left them outside? Like, that would be the equivalent to what he's doing. Like, what if I just put all these poopy diapers outside of my house and just left them there? It'd be weird.

00:08:47 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:08:48 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 1:

Maybe you have to do it to teach him a lesson.

00:08:51 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 5:

Mike, you should actually do that. But you should actually do it and stick it right there on that side, like on the property line, not next to your house, but property line.

00:09:00 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I like that.

00:09:01 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 5:

Right there next to him. All right. Thank you for the call. Appreciate it. You know what a listener just texted in that I thought was good? Buy the guy a child's diaper genie. Right.

00:09:12 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh, yes. Remember the diaper genies that went out? That did not work. That smell was still there.

00:09:18 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 2:
