All right. It is Mojo in the morning. Phone number is 844 Mojo Live. Text is 95500. Do us a favor. If you call us and you are a first time, long time, tell us that you are and we'll shout you out on the radio. And then if you're somebody that is sending us a text and your text is really good, more than likely, we're going to call you and you should pick up your phone and say, hello, Lydia. And then she may ask you to go on the radio. And if you don't feel comfortable with your regular voice, we can always voice this, guys. So there's lots of different things that you can do. I had a really rough morning. I was running early. I actually had a good day in the fact that this happened to me on a day that I was running early. I got one of those days going where I started daydreaming in the middle of my drive. So my drive is about a 50-minute drive as I drive in from the northwestern suburbs of to downtown detroit and while i'm driving and i'm on the lodge i randomly just started going lollygagging a little bit and this happened to me and i'm bringing this up because i would love to know if you've ever had this happen to you i took the wrong exit and i ended up instead of taking 75 south, I ended up taking 75 north. Okay? And when I got on, I realized almost too late that I was on the wrong free. I'm like, wait, this doesn't look right. Like I started, and then I noticed the Michigan train central or whatever the hell that thing is, you know, the place that we went on and they tour of and stuff. What is it called? Michigan Central Station. And I'm like, I normally don't see it from this angle. Usually I see it on my right I don't see it on my left usually this is when I start to panic and I started panicking and I had had oh crack what do I do so I had to like you know and I I ended up putting my GPS then on like going oh my god I got to figure out a way to turn around and it kind of turned me and flipped me and did all kinds of goofy stuff to me and then I found myself ready for this one in a weirdest spot ever and this is where I bring this up because I want to know if this has ever happened to anybody has anybody ever almost mistakenly gone to canada by accident let me tell you this is my biggest fear oh my god because at the point that i had to turn around i ended up turning around kind of right by the michigan central yeah but there was there was two ways i could go one way was to go on side streets the other way was it said last exit That's it. And it was basically saying, stop or you are going to end up getting tariffed.

00:05:05 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you can't turn around.

00:05:06 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 2:

You are not going to go anywhere good here. You're going to get yourself into trouble. You're going to actually be stopped by a guy wearing a funny little outfit. You're going to say, wait a second, sir. That's an interesting looking uniform.

00:05:16 - 00:05:30 | Speaker 3:

We obviously go to Canada a lot with Wes being Canadian and his family being there. And Kev, you're right. There are a lot of warnings, and then there is a point of no return where you cannot turn around.

00:05:30 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 1:

But that's my thing. Say I go past the point of no return. Obviously, I didn't plan to go to Canada. I don't just travel every day with my passport. Right. What happened?

00:05:39 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 4:

So you have to go through customs. They have to look everything up. You're detained, and then they have to write you paperwork to turn around to get back in through American customs. So you're there for a bit? Let me tell you, though, it was my biggest fear before I had a passport was accidentally going to Canada. And when I got a passport because we went on vacation years ago, I was like, oh, do I need the card? I asked my dad because, you know, you can get a book and a card. And my dad was like, get the card, put it in your wallet, stop fearing Canada. I have driven with my passport ever since so that if I accidentally hit that exit.

00:06:12 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 2:

So it's the card passport, right? Because I have my driver's license, but it's a real ID. So I think I can go in and out with that. So I think I'm okay with that.

00:06:22 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 4:

Now that I live in downtown Detroit, it's actually easier for me to do some of my shopping in Canada than it is going out to the burbs. And I do it all the time with my passport card.

00:06:32 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 2:

Let me tell you, at 5, 12 in the morning-ish, something like that, I'm going my butt puckered.

00:06:40 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's panic-inducing. I would have laughed so hard if you called us during our morning pre-show meeting and said, I am in Windsor. I'm going to get you some real Tim Hortons, not the crap they serve here.

00:06:55 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 2:

I honestly was at a point where I'm like, you're never going to believe this, guys, but I'm in Canada.

00:07:01 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah?

00:07:01 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Shelby, you accidentally went to Canada?

00:07:06 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 5:

I did. I was 16, and I had just gotten my license, and I was in Port Huron, and the GPS was like, oh, turn left in 1,000 feet, and I have no idea how much 1,000 feet is when I'm driving, and I saw a car turning, so I turned, and it was a one-way, like, as soon as you turn there, you're going to Canada, and I'm, like, panicking. I barely know how to drive, and I get there, and they were so mean to me. I was like 100 pounds, bawling my eyes out, 16-year-old girl, and they had me get out, go into the customs building. They searched my car with dogs. Really? Yep. And then I got a paper saying rejected by immigration, and then they would let me go back.

00:07:51 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. They rejected you. Does that feel like the same rejection when a guy rejects you? Do you feel that same way? Why are they so mean?

00:08:02 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 5:

The whole country rejected me.

00:08:03 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 2:

I don't know, but are people that mean to the Canadians? Because I'll tell you, they are mean people. It's kind of like my feeling towards Ohio State Troopers compared to Michigan State Troopers. What's up, Shea?

00:08:15 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 6:

Good morning.

00:08:16 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 2:

Good morning.

00:08:17 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 6:

So we were going to Johnny Noodle King, and I don't know what I did. Somehow I missed it. I had GPS on me.

00:08:22 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 2:

You were going. I'm sorry. Where were you going? Stop for a second. Where the hell were you going?

00:08:26 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 6:

Johnny Noodle King.

00:08:27 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 2:

What the hell is Johnny Noodle King?

00:08:30 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. You guys have to go there. It's under the bridge. It's a ramen place. It's amazing. Oh, really?

00:08:35 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 2:

Johnny Noodle King. Oh, yeah. All right.

00:08:37 - 00:08:40 | Speaker 6:

It's a whole experience, yeah. Okay. It's so good.

00:08:40 - 00:08:40 | Speaker 2:

All right.

00:08:40 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 6:

So, anyway, so we were going there, and somehow I freaking missed it, and I don't know what I did, but it's a whole ordeal. You get on there, and once you're on the exit, you're in Canada. They consider you, and that is Canada, Canadian property. So, you get up there, and you can't just turn around, you know, you got to go into the store, the customs thing like the other girl said you got to go in there sign some papers they didn't search me or anything but i had my kids with me so they're probably just like oh this lady's dumb so i went in there i went in and had to sign papers and it's really degrading then they have to have some uh some sheriff go and open the gate and like a separate area and let you out like the back door oh jeez you know what's funny snuck you back in the country we used to do a thing called

00:09:25 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 2:

We still call it Naughty Moms Night Out But we used to do it over in Canada In a place called Danny's in Windsor It was a male strip club And one year we had it sponsored by One of the biggest companies Pure Romance And they gave every woman A special edition mojo in the morning vibrator And they gave it to them on the bus They told us to take all of our belongings out They wanted to search us Every woman made those Canadian dudes Feel so weird And they handed it over

00:09:53 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 3:

They were like, why did we pull over this bus?

00:09:56 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

It was crazy. Javon, what's up, Javon?

00:10:00 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 7:

Man, first time caller. Hey, Javad on the phone. What, what? I was going to Port Huron, first time ever going to Port Huron, and I took the wrong exit and made a mistake. It turned right and went into Canada. These guys had me over there for three hours and stuff.

00:10:25 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 10:

Jesus. What did they do, man?

00:10:26 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 7:

I was so nervous.

00:10:28 - 00:10:28 | Speaker 10:

Yeah.

00:10:29 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 7:

I was so nervous because I had a little bud in the car.

00:10:32 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 10:

Oh, jeez.

00:10:34 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. I ended up having to just throw it out the window, of course, but they ended up letting us go or whatever, but we were stuck in custom for three hours.

00:10:42 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 10:

Oh, my God. Three hours. That's crazy.

00:10:44 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 7:

Just for making a wrong turn.

00:10:46 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 10:

I bet you at some point you think that all of a sudden you're now part of the country. I used to live in Tucson, Arizona, and in Tucson, Arizona, you're right up against the border in Nogales, Mexico, And I remember we almost drove the station vehicle over to Mexico by accident. We got in the wrong lane, and we were going down to do a border giveaway or something like that, like something right down the border. And that was like one of those ones because it was like, at least we speak Canadian. I mean, we speak English, right?

00:11:15 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 2:

Why is it that serious, though, where you just can't turn around? Like, why do you have to be held up for three hours while they try to figure this out?

00:11:21 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 10:

Because they think that something, you know, they're very particular. It's like going into the airport, like a TSA line, you know?

00:11:26 - 00:11:35 | Speaker 8:

But if you're turning around, you're not even trying to enter the country. Like, they have to know that you were like, oops, I, you know, wasn't paying attention.

00:11:35 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 10:

If you get up to the booth, there's really nowhere to turn around except for getting up and then going back sometimes.

00:11:39 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 8:

That's right. I feel like maybe that needs to change.

00:11:41 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 10:

Yeah. Emma. Emma almost had this happen to her through the tunnel. If you've never been in Detroit, the one way you can go is through a tunnel. What's going on, Emma?

00:11:51 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 9:

yeah so so i me and my friend were driving downtown and we're from essex so not like near like just outside of windsor and she hadn't driven down there too often because it was like we knew we just got our licenses and stuff and she was driving and she kind of like panicked and she's like oh i have to turn here and i was like i don't think so and we drove right into the tunnel and we were like oh my god what do we do and the guy from um the toll booth was like we were gonna have to go through one of the customs things and like explain what happened because i can't just like let you turn around right here so we started to panic i'm not even thinking we get up there they're like do you have your passports we're like no we have our ids though i went into my purse to get my id and i then remembered i had pot brownies in my purse that we were going to

00:12:40 - 00:12:46 | Speaker 8:

take down at the river wait what do you have pot brownies oh okay i didn't hear you sorry

00:12:46 - 00:13:08 | Speaker 9:

I was reaching in to grab my ID, and I went, oh, my God, if we get pulled in, I have to eat both of these in hope that I live. Or do you slowly hand it over and just wink at the officer? Yeah, I mean, I was 17, so maybe that would have worked and been like, I'm so sorry I made a big mistake.
