good morning welcome to the mojo in the morning show it's nice to have you listening today it's gonna be a gorgeous day it's really really nice i think temperature is close to like 80 degrees and we got a lot for you today you know what war of the roses happening this morning she thinks that her wife is cheating and we make a phone call only to get a very big surprise on the other end you have to listen for that that's coming up it's tuesday which means it's coming up after the 7 30 dirty so please stick around for that got uh am i the a-hole this morning and a mom wanting to know if she's an a-hole for doing this at her kid's child party. And then, oh, you know who's in the name? This is actually a big one. We haven't done this in a while. She hasn't actually visited in a while, but she's hugely popular. Rebecca Rosen, the lady who can talk to dead people, is going to be on with us today. I don't know what just happened. My voice just all of a sudden became very interesting.

of like mesmerized by her beauty you know because she's very beautiful is very very beautiful yeah

and it's interesting that she came up here on this day because typically when she's here it's usually a time for Megan to shut off her microphone and just go, this woman's full of crap. Well, guess what? She can't shut off her microphone because she's in the studio with us this morning. Megan's up into the Detroit studios. You got a meeting or something

after the show or what's the story? Yeah, my future ex-husband Steve Gabar is coming

in today. Oh, recording some commercials? Commercials. Well, you're going to have to be careful because you're sitting right there next to where Rebecca Rosen is going to take up microphone i know and i know that you're not a huge uh believer in this stuff you think that this thing is like uh going to the carnival and and talking to the psychic the bad psychic correct correct i i feel like we need a crystal ball in here do you think because she does not have like one of those uh like interesting looking outfits or doesn't talk with uh an interesting voice like Miss Cleo used to? Do you think that she's not

valid? I feel like Madame Zeroni is more believable at this point.

I think it's interesting.

It's fascinating. She predicted stuff for me before. She talked to my dad and my dad was talking about me building a family and doing all these other things and it came true.

And she did not even know that Mike had sperm to

build a family. No, she had no idea that eventually that I would have the sex and make

babies. Actually, didn't she say some specific things that only you and your dad knew too? I remember you got pretty emotional. Yeah, I don't

remember exactly. Maybe we can ask her about it again today. You know what's funny?

Don't even ask her stuff. She'll just all randomly just come up with it like that's the beauty of it that is the crazy part and it usually

happens during a commercial break and she always sits right next to me and she'll lean over and

she'll say um is there something going on with your refrigerator right now because your grandma

thinks it's hysterical and i'm like i have never even said that to like why would i talk about that

with anybody what's going just like the craziest little things if you would like to uh talk to Rebecca, if you have, you know, an idea of what you want to talk about, you can text us at 95500 and Lydia is going to get back to you. Yesterday, I left the studio late and I was starving. And it was one of those days where I was like, man, this thing can only require like a big deli sandwich. And I went to this deli. And I won't name which deli it was because I got a complaint to wage against them. I went in to go eat by myself, which is something that is very brave for me to do because I am not a go to a movie or eat by myself kind of a guy.

Wait, you didn't order it to just take it back to your car and eat alone, like a normal person?

I would have, but the last time that I ordered a club sandwich and ate it in my car, I had turkey and bacon and mayonnaise. My steering wheel looked like it was... Oh, my God. It looked like I had actually put some kind of glowing stuff on it because it was all full of mayonnaise and things. But, see, I still got the mayonnaise causing me to go...

I love how you say sandwich, by the way, because sandwich.

Yeah. Sandwich. So I asked the waitress to do something, and she refused. And tell me if you guys think that this is kind of weird, or maybe I was out of line. I gave her my phone with a phone charger and asked if she could.

plug in my phone for me. And I was at like 10% and I didn't want to not have a phone charge because I was going to the doctor right afterwards and going to the doctor requires a very long visit. And I wanted to at least have some like phone life on me. Yeah. So I handed her that and said, Hey, could you do me a favor? And she grabs my phone, you know, from me, like weird, like I'm I said, could you just plug this in for me and, you know, let me charge it while I'm eating here. and she goes um hold on one second and puts it back down on the table comes back and then comes back and says i'm sorry but the manager says that we're not allowed to do that i'm like not allowed to do that what's wrong with like what could quite possibly be wrong with just giving me an outlet like i looked around where i was sitting seeing if there was an outfit outlet anywhere and couldn't find it and she's like no we're not allowed to do that and i was like oh that's kind of weird And so then I was like thinking to myself, I'm like, maybe I should go eat it in my car, you know, so I can get the charge going. Right. But I got kind of carried away with why would they not want you to charge?

Is it a liability that if something happens to your phone or if it goes missing?

I asked the manager to come over to the table and then the guy came over the table and he comes over and he goes, yes. And I go, yeah, I just wanted to see if you could, you know, use maybe you got a charger or something behind the counter or something like that. Could you please plug this in for me? And she told me you couldn't do it. And she goes, here, he goes, yeah, we don't like to plug in people's chargers into our outlets because we're afraid that something could happen to our outlets. I'm going, oh.

Oh, because so many people put, like, cameras and stuff in USB chargers. They don't want you filming back there, maybe? Filming? All I want is a charge. Yeah, but you know how, like, even in hotels or Airbnbs, people would have those USB phone chargers that had cameras in them.

Well, I was just, all it was was an Apple charger that had, like, the little cube at the end of it.

Right.

But what is that?

That's where people were putting the cameras.

Really? Yeah. I'm not that high tech.

I did not know that. You guys, am I on this weird side of TikTok and YouTube where it tells me? Now I'm scared that I'm on the internet. Yeah, I hate hotels because going in, I know where all the cameras are usually hidden. And then I'm like, they're streaming me online. But I feel like nowadays, everybody, a lot of restaurants or bars will even have chargers behind the bar and they'll just hand you the little, you know, the little end that you stick in your phone.

Mophie or whatever it is, yeah.

Right. It's not a big deal. Well, you're very untrustworthy, so I can see their trepidation.

I got done with talking to them, and my sandwich then arrived, and I thought, this is ridiculous. So I got up and started walking around the restaurant with my phone and my charger looking to see if I could find it. Because I knew that there had to be an outlet somewhere. And then I walk up, and there's like the sign that says, you know, that's plugged in, and it's got like the Coca-Cola thing plugged into it. You do not unplug it. And I'm thinking, would they be upset if I just unplugged it for like one second and plugged my phone in there, you know, just to kind of get it charged? But I thought, that is just weird. That's weird that they would ask that, you know, or they say that they couldn't charge the thing. What are they going to do? Kick you out of a deli? Well, no, but listen, first off, the sandwich cost me like $15 or $16. It was an expensive sandwich.

You deserve rent at an outlet for that kind of price.

I mean, but it's not asking a lot. But, I mean, I got to tell you something. I have, like, people all the time that will come into the studio here from time to time, ask us to, you know, if they could plug in their phones. And we let them plug in their phones when we probably shouldn't because it could turn the power of the radio station off. I mean, that happens without us plugging in phones. Yeah, we've had that happen. Remember that? We had it one time where we plugged in something and it ended up shocking us off the air.

Shannon kicked a cord the other day and Toledo and Grand Rapids went off the air.

but um but i i don't know i to me it's i don't know is it rude by the way to ask uh to ask somebody if they could charge your phone or that they could plug in your your phone for you i don't think so no i mean i've had it before where i've given people rides and and i mean i thought that was somewhat rude when they asked me to hey can i plug into your plug shannon when you did that you did that on friday when we were going to uh the yeah can you plug in my you don't remember You were so drunk after the naughty mom's night out You were like in the way way back of the thing And you said hey can you plug my phone in for me Please I was at you were at like 5% Hold on Derek wants to call me out What's that Derek

Alright I think you're kind of being a Karen there Like you asked the first person and then the second person And like it clearly wasn't happening It's kind of like some Karen Slash boomer vibes going on

Derek They weren't giving me a straight answer Why could they not tell me Why they couldn't let me plug in the phone

They didn't want to do it No means no Derek

I feel like your mom and dad said that to you a lot It is just in green

in your brain no means no no derek come on to me that's it was kind of a-holy of them to do that

i wasn't being a karen was i a little bit i used to work fast food so like i get it because it's like one thing you gotta like you gotta worry about somebody's phone being back there and then you probably get busy and forget it or if you do get busy then you gotta stop what you're doing to give somebody their phone back.

Well, let's run through the Karen checklist. Did you get overly upset and want to talk to the manager? Yeah.

Oh, God. Oh, Mike. Well, are you talking about it really loud to other people? Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I don't have anything else to even add to that checklist. I think we know our answer.

Do you have a really short haircut?

You got me. All right. Derek, Mike, and KP are all a-holes today. What's going on? Diane, what's happening? It's Mojo in the Morning.

Nothing much, but I've been listening to you.

Invest in a phone power bank. No, no, Diane. Do you know how many of those I own? First of all, they're very expensive. Second of all, I always forget to charge them, so they're useless. I was going to say, yes. Absolutely useless. And then if you leave it on the charger overnight, it starts draining super quickly, and I spent $150 for something to charge my phone 30%. Those are a scam, an absolute scam.

I only paid $30 for mine, but you're right. I always forget to charge that, so it doesn't even make sense to happen.

Or they put a flashlight button on the side, and then it drains its entire power bank because it was floating in your purse and hit something.

Nuh-uh. Wait, so are you talking about like a Mophie? Is that what you're talking about? So a phone power bank?

I got one from Amazon that I do love. I've got 8,000 of them. So you forget to bring them.

But I never...

I know.

What's the company where you could actually buy it and then turn it into a vending machine and then they give you a charging one? What's that one? I've done that one, too, and I had those laying around.

At, like, music festivals, you can get them.

You can get them pretty much at, like, yeah, like CVS, Walgreens, too. And basically what it is, it's... Remember how Netflix used to be? Like Redboxes. Like Redboxes. Yeah, you can go and, like, return it back in and it's got a charge on the whole thing. I'm telling you, this is the big deal. If I ever open up a restaurant, and I'm going to open it, it's going to be called Mojo's. And we're going to have chargers all over the place. Everything's going to be right there for you. Because they should. If they do that, it's smart.

When I was in New York City with Lucy this past December, all of the restaurants had these little, like, you open this little box and you could stick your phone in there with a charge and lock it. Yep. I love it. So while you were sitting there eating, and it was a quick charge.

And why are airports the only place in public that you can charge your phone?

I don't know. They need more places. Michaela knows the reason why they wouldn't let me do it. What is that, Michaela?

I think it's a liability issue because at my work, I mean, it's completely different. But, like, sometimes people want us to, like, watch their kids or something. And it's like, no, I can't watch your kid because if something happens, you're going to blame me. So if your phone isn't in your eyesight and they have it behind the counter and say it gets stolen or something gets stolen off of it, then, you know, it's their fault. It's interesting.

It's interesting that you say that. People will ask you to watch your kids. I honestly would be more cautious of people watching my phone than watching my kids.

But the manager could have just said, hey, I'm going to plug it in for you, but if anything happens to it, we're not liable, okay?

Yeah.

That was it. That's right. True. They might want something more permanent though Because then you could just say that everything Happened and then it becomes He said, she said if it goes to court or something Like that, hopefully it wouldn't come to that

This is the thing, what it taught me Was to do exactly what Megan said At the very beginning of this, just eat in my car You know I'm just going to get my car all Messy and who gives a rat's ass I'm going to have a charged phone
