So about six months ago or so, a bunch of my grade school buddies all got together on a group text and said, hey, we should all do a trip together to Vegas. And we went back and forth on, you know, the text to figure out, like, when should we do it? And it was decided that this weekend was the weekend that we were going to do a trip to Vegas because that was, you know, a group of texts. Then the next text came up of, hey, where would we want to stay? And then it was like, well, you know, these people got good rates. This has got a good sports book. You know, we kind of went back and forth on where it was going to go. And that's where the text ended. So this is six months ago. So, what is, is July six months? Because it was like, yeah, it was like end of July. We never talked about it ever again. The other day, we ended up getting a text message from our buddy Tom, who said, what time do you guys land in Vegas? And Tom's the only person who booked the trip to go to Vegas. Oh, no. It kind of fell by the wayside And nobody kind of brought it back up again

00:02:55 - 00:02:57 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, and nobody else pulled the trigger And actually booked

00:02:57 - 00:03:24 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I really wanted to go But I thought that everybody was kind of like I thought, I'll be honest with you It was semi my idea But it was also semi Tom's And so It came to a point where it was like I felt like I was pressuring everybody else Like to want to go on a trip together But I thought this, you know, cool And I never brought it up And here I am, by the way, I sound like I am Fumbling for my words Trying to figure this thing out

00:03:24 - 00:03:38 | Speaker 1:

I don't fault you, because before they booked The flight, I would have reinvigorated That conversation and made sure Like, hey, what day is everybody flying in Like, just touch base again Make sure that everybody's still on board After months

00:03:38 - 00:03:41 | Speaker 3:

Tom's going to Vegas by himself, you guys

00:03:41 - 00:03:46 | Speaker 7:

This weekend Nobody can book a last minute flight

00:03:47 - 00:04:12 | Speaker 3:

Well, I did look at it. It would be very expensive. I looked to see if we could do it. I felt so bad. I'm like, hey, is there any way you can just cancel it before it gets to the non-cancellation time for the hotel? Because the hotel is the thing you worry about. The airfare, you can always use again. There's always ways to be able to use it again and do another trip sometime.

00:04:12 - 00:04:17 | Speaker 7:

You know what this reminds me of?

00:04:17 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 3:

What's that?

00:04:18 - 00:04:21 | Speaker 7:

The family trip that I forgot to tell my sister about.

00:04:22 - 00:04:23 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's right.

00:04:23 - 00:04:29 | Speaker 7:

And she was the only one that didn't come because I forgot to tell her that we were going.

00:04:30 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 3:

So what ended up happening? Did she ever get really salty with you guys?

00:04:34 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 7:

She didn't get salty, but it's a tradition. every year instead of doing Christmas gifts my mom and my or my excuse me my stepmom and my dad and my sister and I just plan like a weekend up north and that's been known for the past couple of years that that's what we do I just happen to forget to tell my sister Emily when the weekend was and so the couple of days before I was like do you want to drive with me Thank you.

00:05:00 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 5:

Or do you want to drive with dad? And she looked at me with this blank stare and said, what are you talking about? I forgot to tell her that it was that weekend. And she had plans to go out of town, so she didn't come. And she didn't change her plans.

00:05:11 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 4:

Good for her on that, you know. Because, you know, you couldn't feel pressure to it.

00:05:16 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:05:17 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 4:

Have you ever had, like, a major, like, miscommunication? I don't know if this would be miscommunication or no communication on something like this. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I feel like this is something that would happen to us as a show, like planning something. You know what I mean? Like we would all be, you know, hey, let's all go to lunch today. And then we would show up at the lunch. Actually, Mike would be the only one that would show up. It would be – Mike is Tom.

00:05:48 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:05:49 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, what's that? Go ahead.

00:05:50 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 3:

Let him get his insult in.

00:05:51 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 4:

Go ahead. Say it in.

00:05:52 - 00:05:52 | Speaker 3:

Unless I ride with Spike.

00:05:54 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 4:

And then you'll go to the wrong restaurant? Is that what you're saying?

00:05:56 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 3:

I got you there eventually. I would be the only one, but if I was the only one going to Vegas, I might be okay with it.

00:06:03 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 4:

Wait, would you go to Vegas by yourself?

00:06:06 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 3:

I wouldn't want to, necessarily.

00:06:08 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I would. I would be afraid. Why? Because there's so much craziness that could happen in Vegas. And I'm not saying you'd get involved in that craziness, but the potential. Listen to this text message. It says, can't call, but Tom's wife is going to think he's a cheater when she finds out that the other guys aren't going.

00:06:27 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah.

00:06:28 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 4:

She's going to think that the guys are trying to cover for him. That's so true.

00:06:34 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 5:

I would be so suspicious, right? Would it, Chelsea?

00:06:37 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. Absolutely. 734 says Tom should say he has COVID to get out of his trip and not have to pay any fees. It goes back to what we were talking about last week. It's like COVID karma. You got to be careful of that. But Alex, what's up? We're talking about people who go on solo trips.

00:06:57 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 1:

trips to of all places Vegas you do this all the time I do I um I actually work for a major airline so um day trips weekend trips um and actually Vegas is really cheap to stay yeah the room there's so many rooms right yeah um you usually stay at one of the MDM properties and sometimes you can

00:07:20 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 4:

find them for like 40 bucks. So you don't worry about being a, uh, you know, a woman, or I mean, I was going to, I don't know if you're a single woman, but a single woman by yourself, like,

00:07:30 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 1:

you know, being a lone, you know, traveler there. Um, no, actually Vegas, I feel pretty safe. Vegas

00:07:38 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 4:

and Miami. Um, Miami. Oh my God. Now, now I think you're crazy. I would not, I wouldn't go to Miami

00:07:46 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 1:

with my family and feel safe i actually do a lot and really both of both places um usually i would say like downtown or something where there is large crowds yeah um and then i usually pay like i'm not a huge clubber but um i will do like pay for the cabana all day and just eat and drink in the sun, or just treat myself to some good food. Yeah. And then my family, it's easy to stay in, like, hostels are popular now. Hostels? So that's kind of like, yeah, it's kind of like summer camp for adults.

00:08:22 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 4:

I think you are, you're scaring me. Where's your father at? I would like to be your father right now.

00:08:31 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 1:

He works for my competitor, Airlines, so he's the one that tells me everything.

00:08:36 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 4:

You tell dad that he needs to watch out over you. I legit would make sure that you had your phone's GPS on at all times, so I knew exactly where you were.

00:08:51 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 1:

I definitely do, and he's got a strict rule about leaving the country.

00:08:56 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 4:

I'm not trying to just put this out there, but it is out there. These crazies out there that are putting Apple AirTags on girls and all that stuff, I'm worried about that. And with my wife, you know, being here in my company, but I would never want her to be going anywhere by herself. So, all right, Alex, thank you so much. We appreciate that.

00:09:18 - 00:09:19 | Unknown:

Thanks, guys.
