so i caught someone talking spit about me and they got caught in what i think is probably one of the funniest ways possible have you ever caught somebody that was talking crap about you and how did you catch them share with us so my situation is this so i had somebody text me and ask if chelsea and i would like to attend a party that they are having and it was an interesting party and i won't give out specifics because they will of course know that i'm talking about them on the air right now but other people other people will know that it was them and i don't want i don't want them to get bombarded with calls so they asked if chelsea and i would attend the party and then right after their text and i didn't get their text right away so all of sudden i saw that they had texted a couple of times i see this humongous text and it was like like a paragraph text yeah a bunch of gobbledygook i don't know what it was it was like a bunch it was like a bunch of words that were put together and then i start going oh they must not realize they've got the voice to text going thing oh and um and what you see is would you and chelsea like To attend a party at our house Just let us know And the next one is No I don't want to go that They're going to say no anyway They always end up saying no These guys never come to anything

00:03:55 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 1:

Wait and this is written This isn't in like a voice memo This is a text message

00:04:00 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

So what ended up happening was Their phone Must have had the voice thing on You ever have that happen to you You know how sometimes it happens If you're an iPhone user Siri will do this every now and again like on my Apple watch it does this from time to time where she'll go I'm sorry what are you trying to say you know stuff like that like they think that you're talking to him and they must have hit send sending it to me without checking it obviously and then the next message after that was oh that text was not meant for you I'm so sorry about that I apologize let us know if you guys can come to total malarkey yeah yeah got busted busted busted busted and uh talking uh talking crap and there were some other things that they said in there that i gotta be perfectly honest with you we're a little bit more salacious but like i said i'm not going to say them because the problem is my friends and the people that i associate with will all know

00:05:00 - 00:05:07 | Speaker 2:

who I'm talking about and what I'm talking about, and they'll give them so much crap, and then it will become just a total pain in the ass thing for us.

00:05:07 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 1:

Wait, so did you go to the party? No, the party's coming up. Okay.

00:05:10 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 2:

The party's coming up.

00:05:11 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 1:

Are you going to go?

00:05:11 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 2:

I said to Chelsea, I go, if ever we ever go to a party, we're going to this party. Yes, you have to. We've got to because now we know the feelings. We've got their true feelings of what their thoughts are about us.

00:05:23 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 1:

Plus, just to look them in the face after they know that they did that.

00:05:27 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 2:

Well, also, to, you know, to, hey, some people never come to these parties. I'm so glad that you. Oh, my God.

00:05:38 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 1:

We would not miss this party for the world.

00:05:40 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 2:

You should be the last one there. Like, just never leave.

00:05:44 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 1:

It'd be like, stay the whole time.

00:05:46 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 2:

I love it. That's so good. But this happens, you know, technology gets people busted all the time. But does it ever get you busted where you found somebody who was talking crap about you? And then the other thing, and this is one of the ones, and I throw this out there. I know there are people that have walked into a room and then everybody all of a sudden becomes quiet.

00:06:07 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 1:

That's the worst feeling in the whole world.

00:06:09 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 2:

Has anybody ever walked into the room without them knowing and then they became quiet? And you heard a couple of last things that were said. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. We're going to do a little spit talking this morning here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. Rebecca?

00:06:28 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 3:

Hi, good morning.

00:06:29 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. You actually heard somebody talking spit about you. Who was it?

00:06:34 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 3:

It was my own mother.

00:06:35 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 2:

What?

00:06:36 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 3:

Your own mother? Yeah, she sent a very harsh text about me to my younger brother. And all I responded was, I think you got the wrong text. and then i get a phone call from her and she still thought it was my brother and is trying to confirm the harsh text being like no but your sister did all this and i feel this way about her and i go mom you're still talking in the wrong way why was mom talking bad about you to your siblings anyways it was over a holiday incident and you know holidays bring out the worst in

00:07:17 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 2:

families holidays and alcohol too are you and your mom in a good place right now yeah we're better

00:07:23 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 3:

but i mean you just she's the type i mean that you just can't keep too close unfortunately oh

00:07:29 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 2:

that's too bad uh michelle who was talking spit about you my ex-husband mojo your ex who i'm sorry my ex-husband your ex oh well of course what how did you find this out

00:07:43 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 4:

so he accidentally butt dialed me and he actually had the children for the weekend and i actually heard him telling the children that they had to lie to me about their whereabouts they were both very sick and he had a family function the kids were supposed to be home resting and yeah this went on for like 10 minutes and i just sat and listened and then when he realized that the call had been made. I called him back and he wouldn't answer his phone. I did confront him, however, when I got the children back that weekend. I just found it really incredible, though, because he's encouraging the children to lie to me all the while I'm listening to everything going on. Oh, my gosh.

00:08:26 - 00:08:46 | Speaker 2:

Wow, that's awful. Do you guys ever get this? Do you guys ever get long voicemail messages from people who don't realize that they called and left you a voicemail message? and do you listen to the entire thing to see if someone is talking crap about you? Every single word. Even if it's just a car, even if they're just sitting in the car.

00:08:46 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 4:

And you guys are the people that tell me that I have too much free time with Netflix?

00:08:51 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 2:

I do that all the time too, Mike. And Megan, I know you would do it too. If you got a long message and you started hearing people having chatter with each other, you would listen to the entire thing to find out what they were talking about. that's that's by the way a way that you catch somebody talking crap about you have you guys

00:09:07 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 1:

ever been in public and heard people talking about you and not knowing that you were there like that's happened like a listener or a friend or what well either or but at like if you're at a restaurant and you're sitting in a booth and the people in the booth next to you are talking about you oh what were they saying you don't know that that you're well it happened to me a few times when i was going through my divorce and i busted so many people really talking about me You show up and go, hi, guys, let me tell you the whole thing. Let me tell you what's going on. You don't even say, you just have to stand up at the end and walk out and turn back to make sure that you look at their faces because they're just mortified.

00:09:39 - 00:09:48 | Speaker 2:

You know what I would do? I would actually walk over and say, hey, move over. Let me tell you a little bit more. You imagine what, they probably pooped their pants. What's up, John? How you doing?

00:09:49 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 4:

Good, how are you?

00:09:50 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 2:

Good. You caught somebody talking crap about you?

00:09:53 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it was, I went out of high school about 20 years ago. but I walked into a room that

00:10:00 - 00:10:08 | Speaker 2:

It was like a lunchroom. It just wasn't much of my friends. And the last thing I hear was, isn't it gross that he likes guys?

00:10:09 - 00:10:14 | Speaker 5:

Wow. Wow. And these are people that you considered friends?

00:10:14 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 2:

They were.

00:10:16 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 5:

God, that's awful.

00:10:17 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 1:

Good answer.

00:10:18 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:10:19 - 00:10:20 | Speaker 1:

And so did you confront them?

00:10:21 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 2:

No, I kind of just, I didn't know what to do at the time. I turned around and walked out. And then we just kind of didn't talk anymore. And now half of them are either pregnant or unemployed.

00:10:34 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 5:

Isn't that always the best? I know you don't ever want to wish ill will upon anybody at all, except for the people that say bad things about you. Then you want all the ill will.

00:10:44 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you kind of go through and you look at their Facebook. You're like, oh, yeah, let me check on this person from 15 years ago. Oh, I'm glad to see their tweet worse off than me.

00:10:54 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 4:

I feel like that stuff's meant to happen, too, because what it does is it gives you their honest opinions and then it weeds them out of your life. It's so true, Mike.

00:11:04 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 5:

What's up, Sarah? How you doing? Good. How are you? Good. Who did you catch talking crap about you?

00:11:12 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 6:

Well, funny story. Someone caught me talking crap about that.

00:11:16 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 5:

Uh-oh, Sarah.

00:11:18 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, well, I was, to be fair, I was home alone and I was chit-chatting with some family members and, you know, you get a little fed up sometimes with roommates and I hear a scoff and I'm like what the heck I'm like looking around hello and I found out uh that the Alexa can listen in on conversations if it's not your device

00:11:40 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 5:

oh and that's how they were able to hear every word that you were saying yes yeah listening in on me so through Alexa so you're talking in one room with Alexa there and they're in another

00:11:53 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 1:

place listening to alexa at work yeah oh my god what do they say about ear stoppers you never hear nice of yourself like that that's on them wait how do you do that honestly the app on your phone for alexa you can drop in on a device oh it's just a drop in yeah and you can't even it doesn't even

00:12:14 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 5:

make a noise what were you wait what were you saying about them what was some of the kind of

00:12:19 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 6:

complaining about, you know, dishes, you know, dishes will never end. I understand that now, but it's just little things, you know, nothing major. So maybe not talking crap, maybe just stating facts, but.

00:12:33 - 00:12:44 | Speaker 5:

Shannon, you were talking about hearing people talking about you while you were there. That happened to mom, Grace, and they were talking crap about her son, right? Is that right, Grace?

00:12:45 - 00:13:06 | Speaker 7:

Yes, it is. We were at a baseball game in high school, and one of the parents was talking about how my son plays more than his son. He was actually a part of the booster club, and I walked up behind him. He didn't know I heard him, and, oh, boy, I laid right into him. He didn't know what to say. He was doing that backpedal dance.

00:13:09 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 5:

Stuttering away.

00:13:10 - 00:13:11 | Speaker 7:

Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.

00:13:11 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 5:

So, wait, he was trying to say that your son shouldn't have played? He was complaining.

00:13:17 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, he shouldn't have played as often as he did because his son was a better player. It's like, are you kidding me? You got a problem with that? You need to take it to the coach. You don't sit and talk about someone else's kid to other parents. And the parent he was talking to is a good friend of mine.

00:13:34 - 00:13:39 | Speaker 5:

Was that parent sticking up for your son? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah.

00:13:39 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 7:

But when I came up, he was cracking up. He was like, oh, God, you did that to the wrong kid.

00:13:44 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 5:

Let me tell you something. I want you to be my mother. mama bear right here.

00:13:49 - 00:14:18 | Speaker 7:

I am a mama bear. I have four kids, and I'm very outspoken, and I don't care if it even wasn't my kid, if it was someone else's kid. That's the first time I had it. Then I had it happen a second time with my fourth child. Oh, jeez. This woman didn't know the kid was my kid. She was talking crap about it. Somebody was talking crap, and then I said, I just want you to know that was my son. Oh, wow. I mean her face was so red Oh I bet

00:14:18 - 00:14:21 | Speaker 5:

Alright well thanks Appreciate you Grace

00:14:21 - 00:14:24 | Speaker 7:

You too take care

00:14:24 - 00:14:25 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to be careful what I say around her

00:14:25 - 00:14:32 | Speaker 4:

I mean if it's more than one kid though We start to think that maybe It might be the kids Grace hold on

00:14:32 - 00:15:04 | Speaker 3:
