A home World Cup only happens once in a lifetime, and we are not missing a second. I'm Castle 1021. On the 1021 podcast, me and the crew break down every match like it's personal. The drama, the upsets, the debates you'll be having all day. Soccer, culture, and chaos in one place. Pick a side we already did. Hey, everybody. I'm Tarika Foster-Brasby. What's up, y'all? I'm your girl, Cheryl Swoops. When you tune in to a new episode of our podcast, Levels to This, you're definitely going to get some spicy WNBA analysis. But we're more than just hoops. And the real conversation is what we actually bring.

00:00:47 - 00:00:58 | Speaker 7:

It's been really, really cool seeing kind of these women just really step into their power off the court and understand that they aren't basketball, right? And they're not asking for permission.

00:00:59 - 00:01:08 | Speaker 8:

Listen to Levels to This with Shroes Hoops and Tariqa Foster-Brasby on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

I'm Mange Shatikular, and I'm back with a new season of my podcast, Skyline Drive. This time I talk to scientists, biopunks, curmudgeons, blues owners, super seniors, and Goa's top cryotherapy lab to try to understand this obsession with living forever and what it means for all of us. And I get into a bit of trouble along the way.

00:01:28 - 00:01:33 | Speaker 1:

I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. Make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know.

00:01:34 - 00:01:40 | Speaker 3:

Listen to Skyline Drive, How to Live Forever on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

00:01:40 - 00:01:53 | Speaker 6:

Hey, it's Alec Baldwin. This season on my podcast, Here's the Thing, I talk to composer Mark Shaman. It's about the hang. It's the pleasure of hanging out with the people that you're with. You know, Rob and I was always a great hang.

00:01:54 - 00:02:05 | Speaker 3:

And director Morgan Neville. Film school teaches you all the wrong things about making documentary. What do you want to say? Documentary is all about your ear. What do you hear? I feel like my job is listening really, really hard.

00:02:06 - 00:02:12 | Speaker 6:

00:02:25 - 00:02:40 | Speaker 9:

How the hell do we supposed to keep peace What's all on somebody's mind Working and doing time It's cold outside, but I'm still looking like a daddy Because my home never gets cold

00:02:40 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, good morning It is cold outside Real feel temperature is 12 degrees right now That's what the feel feels like so feels uh welcome to the mojo in the morning show it was so cold last night that my wife told me that when i take the dogs out to go do their duties that i need to dress them i felt

00:03:08 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 7:

like megan i was like what finally some payback i have to i have to do what What?

00:03:19 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 5:

That was not a dog bark, by the way. That was, what? What? What are we wearing today? What do they have? Those sweaters? Oh, my God. They have a cape?

00:03:27 - 00:03:29 | Speaker 3:

You have to do the boots. The boots are my favorite.

00:03:29 - 00:04:09 | Speaker 5:

Let me just say this to you. Well, I would definitely not put in boots on them. I was not going to do that. Although there have been times where Chelsea has asked me to, like, wash their paws off, and I'm like, do you know that I am a grown man that pays taxes? Why am I doing this stuff? So, yes, we got into a discussion about how cold it was, and the dogs just got groomed so they don't have as much fur on them right now. And, by the way, I want to bring this up not because of any other reason, then. I want to know, are there any other idiots like me that had to put clothes on their animals? Are there any people that actually do this?

00:04:09 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 7:

I love this. This is my favorite topic.

00:04:12 - 00:04:40 | Speaker 5:

Thank you. So last night First off, I taped me doing it I want you to know this I am definitely a heavy breather I'm a larger man But after I watched the video of this And I was listening back to the video I'm like It was like I was moving a couch Trying to get these little dogs in their things Here, take a listen to this Let me see What we got here

00:04:40 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 4:

Are you ready?

00:04:42 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 9:

I'm going to put this on you and then I'm going to put this on you so uh hey what do you guys think

00:05:00 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 3:

You like him? I'm just staring at you. Yeah, okay. I take him outside. First off, let's hear that. This is me.

00:05:09 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 1:

How many flights of stairs did you have to climb?

00:05:11 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 3:

None. There was not one stair. It was just me trying to get these little paws, Henry and Louie's little paws, into their sweaters. There I am outside with them. We're going potty.

00:05:27 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 2:

The neighbors don't see them. Why am I? the one without any kind of coat on. I have a question for you

00:05:36 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 4:

because I have the same dog as you. Charlie is the same dog. And I bought him a vest last year for the same reason because these little dogs, I'm so nervous that they're going to freeze their buns off. But he will not wear it because I feel like it maybe mine's too big. It covers up his pee-pee and then he just pees all over it.

00:05:54 - 00:06:00 | Speaker 3:

They actually, there was a like where their pee-pee he is. Right. In their

00:06:00 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 4:

butthole. There's like a hole, but he's still peeing. Maybe he's just a messy peer

00:06:04 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 3:

like my son. He's like me. He's everywhere.

00:06:06 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, he's like, yeah, it goes all over the place. No matter what.

00:06:08 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 7:

This conversation is driving me

00:06:10 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 1:

nuts. Everybody that made fun of you

00:06:12 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 7:

is now doing it. Yeah, not only that, I was ruthlessly bullied for clothing my dog, which is an absolute necessity. And then as soon as Mojo needed to do it, listen to Shannon, oh, I bought

00:06:24 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 4:

my dog a jam. I've never bullied you, by the way. Uh-uh. Set the record straight. I have always complimented Coraline's outfits. You are wrong there. She's a little fashionista.

00:06:35 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 3:

I have full-on bullied you. Full-on bullied you. Mike will never put anything on his cat, right, Mike? No, not a chance at all.

00:06:42 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 4:

By the way, if you go to Five Below, I was just there the other day, they have matching fuzzy sockies for owner and doggy.

00:06:49 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Whoever has mojo for secret Santa. They do.

00:06:53 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 4:

And there are a plethora of options.

00:06:56 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 6:

I'm so mad.

00:06:58 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Amy. How you doing?

00:07:00 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 6:

Hi, good morning. How are you guys?

00:07:02 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 3:

Amy, doing good. Feeling a little emasculated, demasculated. What would it be that I actually had to clothe my animals last night?

00:07:13 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 6:

Hey, at least they're willing to be clothed.

00:07:16 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. You also have a dog that doesn't like to do this?

00:07:20 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 6:

Oh, no. My dog loves to do this. He has a full wardrobe. Oh, jeez. He's spoiled rotten. And, Shannon, I have those matching socks from Five Below.

00:07:29 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. What's the most interesting wardrobe that you have? Like, does your dog have, like, a smoking jacket or something?

00:07:36 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 6:

Well, I did just buy him a little dog coat from the new Shinola line.

00:07:43 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. What does that cost? This canine is dressed better than me.

00:07:48 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 6:

Yes, he's very well dressed.

00:07:52 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 3:

Are you single, Amy?

00:07:54 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 6:

No, I'm not.

00:07:55 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 3:

I knew where you were going with that. I was thinking the same thing, too. I'm thinking, you know what? You treat them like your partner, right? Exactly.

00:08:05 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 6:

That's my baby until I have a baby. There you go. Yeah.

00:08:10 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 3:

All right. Well, thank you for the call, Amy. Appreciate it. Send us pictures, okay? Here's the deal. Reese, post this and then tell people that they should post pictures of their animals in their coats or whatever clothing they have so that everybody participates with us uh what's up alex yo what's up how you doing alex you do the same thing with uh your doggie uh it's my cat

00:08:38 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 5:

and it is honestly we all me and my wife we know that they're not going to keep it on but just watching them in it for the short time it is hysterical you know what any kind of cat videos

00:08:49 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 3:

are good videos, right? We were talking yesterday about the cats knocking the Christmas tree over. This is actually kind of fun, watching a cat try to put it on clothing.

00:08:58 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it is.

00:08:59 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 3:

That's wild. What's your cat's name?

00:09:02 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 5:

Well, we have the Bean and Jinx.

00:09:05 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 3:

Oh, wow. And which one of them is more cooperative trying to put on the clothing?

00:09:11 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 5:

Neither.

00:09:12 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, they both are a pain in the ass?

00:09:15 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, pretty much.

00:09:16 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 3:

Do you feel like that's a sign that maybe you shouldn't put it on the cat?

00:09:21 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 5:

Oh, well, it's funny.

00:09:25 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 1:

I like that we bring these wild animals into our home, domesticate them, and then we shave them all down so they can look pretty like we think they should look. And then, oh, you don't have enough hair now. We got to make you wear outfits like we wear because we don't grow food.

00:09:38 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 4:

By the way, sometimes the groomer just does it because they're matted and you don't have a choice. Yeah. It's the worst. They come back looking like little rats.

00:09:46 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 3:

Well, here's the thing with us is that we wanted to have them look all sweet and nice for the holiday. And we also were experiencing like 50-something degree weather. So we figured, okay, well, no problem. Well, then it goes down to 12 degrees like it is.

00:10:00 - 00:10:14 | Speaker 6:

right now. And it just happens so fast. The funniest is, if you have experienced this with Charlie or Megan with Coraline, do you ever go to the door because they know they want to go out? They step two feet out or two paws out and then they turn right back in and come right in?

00:10:14 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 11:

If it's snowing or raining,

00:10:16 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 6:

he's like, yeah, right. I'm not going out there. I will go in a place where she will find it later. Yeah. Which is very true. Hi, Sam. What's going on?

00:10:25 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 4:

Hi. We used to put our old daughter's onesies on our dog.

00:10:30 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 6:

Oh, really? That's actually not a bad idea. Then you don't have to buy, you know, doggy ones. Although, is there a spot for them to do their duty?

00:10:39 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 4:

Well, when you just take them outside, you just unbutton it.

00:10:43 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 6:

Okay.

00:10:44 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 4:

It's actually kind of a genius idea.

00:10:46 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 7:

You unbutton it, and that's where all your dignity comes out.

00:10:50 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 6:

Somebody says that we were talking about Shinola with our first caller in the morning. I can't remember what her name again. Amy. I didn't even know they had dog outfits. Listen to this, Carhartt has stuff, too Really? Harley, what's going on?

00:11:04 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 4:

We have two Huskies, and one is always cold The other day, we bought him a Carhartt jacket And we felt that, so we got him for both dogs Because you can't do one without the other, right?

00:11:17 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 7:

Well, see, a Husky can wear Carhartt Mojo's dog, it's not his personality to have a Carhartt They don't even come in their size Like, Caroline should have skinny jeans, you know? There's just different clothes for different animals

00:11:27 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 10:

My dog has a beanie that she wears That's where the little accent starts right what is car what is Coraline sound like when when Coraline's wearing the beanie

00:11:42 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 11:

She used to be Russian and I feel like that's inappropriate in today's climate

00:11:47 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 10:

She was the Russian Italian Greyhound and that to me was hysterical, but it used to be hello. My name is Coraline Or been because I'm very cool. It's cold outside, but I still have to look good I'm looking for the photographs for the Instagram. Mom gets no likes on her post unless it's me.

00:12:07 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 11:

What's wrong with that? That's what you have in my head constantly when she's around, by the way.

00:12:13 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 6:

What's that, Harley?

00:12:14 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 4:

The best part of putting the coats on the dogs is when we got home, the one that's always hot, thought he was so cool, and I was so glad we bought both of them. After about an hour, we realized he thought he was wearing a life jacket and was going out on the boat.

00:12:29 - 00:12:35 | Speaker 6:

Smart dogs. That's funny. Thank you for the call. Have a great day, okay? You do.

00:12:36 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 3:
